POVICH RETAINS CHANCELLORSHIP

PERM - Vladimir Povich, being elected with 202 votes of the 240 members by the National Assembly, has been appointed Chancellor of the Republic of Kama by President Georgi Damyanov. Povich, who has served for the past eight years as Chancellor, now begins his third term with the largest margin of support ever, this due to election of more right-wing candidate as news of the atrocities committed by communist forces in Ratomkira and the obvious supprt of those forces being voiced by neighboring Volga Republic has a new anti-communist fervor sweeping through the country, giving more support to Povich's right-wing agenda.

Though the demise of the IRB had some thinking that Communism was also on the verge of collapse, the terrorism committed by communist forces in Ratomkira as well as other places around the world and the continued arrogant statements being issued from "Red Bastions" such as Volga and Vangala, has most in the Kama government thinking otherwise and future policy will reflect more hardline anti-Communist tone.

Even though a possible Živ attack could be staged out of Kama, the Volga Republic has not made any threatening move towards the Oikawan puppet state. As Oikawa has made moves directed towards other freedom loving nations, such a movement of troops and equipment to the border is seen as yet another aggressive move orchestrated by Nokanawa.
