Handelsrat The Tyskreich Trade Council (TTC) was founded to serve the Tysk Government in cooperation with Tysk business, and it remains a public-private partnership despite being organized under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Originally, it was founded on mercantilist principles to increase Tyskreich's exports but is today a trade promotion agency engaged in often chamber of commerce-like activities. It is run like a state-controlled consultancy firm and outsourcing partner independently of the government structure, working under the pretext to help Tysk enterprises to achieve international growth and business development.
Handelsrat manages Tysk as well as Noreger and Fjalladrottninger products.
Currently, the Council has close to 2,500 employees working in close collaboration with Tyskreich's embassies, consulates and chambers of commerce. Formally, its country managers hold the title of Counselor of Commercial Affairs at the local embassy, while all other staff remain formally employed by the Trade Council. Mikkel Johansson, Minister of Trade oversees the TTC.
