I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself and my nation. My Greater Bavarian Empire has it's divergence in the 1860s and 1870s when Austria and Prussia were exerting themselves over the various German states. In my timeline, the top tier citizens of Bavaria, Wurtemburg, and Baden reached out to Great Britain and Russia for support while banding together as a new nation to keep from being absorbed by Austria expansion or Prussian formation of the German Confederacy. The Greater Bavarian Empire was allied with the Entente during WW1 and managed to expand it's borders to include Salzburg and part of the German State of Hesse. The GBE continued to grow in the interwar period and survived the Depression moderately well off by exporting iron, agricultural products, and other resources. WW2 was extremely rough on the GBE as it was overrun in the same time period as Poland. It had a fairly aggressive partisan force throughout the war that lead to a number of harsh reprisals. The GBE was liberated by the US forces at the end of the war and has since begun to rebuild it's industries and military. It's army and air force currently consists of surplus British and American equipment that was sold off at the end of the war. As the GBE enters the 1950's, it is optimistic as it continues to look for opportunities to continue to grow it's economy and modernize it's defense forces.
I personally am right at 40 years old, single, and in retail management. I enjoy Science Fiction, Alternative History, cooking, and table top war gaming such as Warhammer 40K, Classic BattleTech, and X-Wing.
Thank you all for your time, and I hope to be involved in some of your story lines soon.
