King William the First sat patiently in his study at the Royal Palace in Westminster Square, London. He preferred to have meetings with foreign dignitaries in a comfortable area where they could relax and discuss the issues at hand. This meeting with the King of Marquette was of upmost importance. In a matter of weeks, two terrorist attacks have shook the region. Hundreds now lay dead, along with his own son, the Crown Prince.

The King insisted that the nation move along quickly and not skip a beat, these days were crucial to the increase in economic activity within Anglia. In order to show his people that the nation was safe, King William even took a stroll around the city, stopping in parks to speak with citizens. If the King was unshaken by the recent events, the nation would be as calm as before. Yet, he must not pretend nothing has happened. These talks will be conclusive and both nations will come out with a plan to quell and future attacks on their soil. The King sat quietly in wait for the delegation from Marquette.

After dropping the Queen off at a speaking engagement, the tiny, indiscreet, motorcade wound its way finally into Westminister Square. His Royal Highness was visibly tired. Having just come from several days of annual military training, His Highness had little time for his aids or himself to pack any clothes. In fact, his Highness was wearing one of his Royal Air Force uniforms; a uniform which he secretly disliked. He much preferred his Royal Navy uniform. He pondered the fact that he would be forced to wear a military uniform to the funeral and memorial later. The King was further displeased at the thought. He sighed as the Royal Palace came into view.

King Edmund Napoleon III checked his uniform and smoothed his tie. He glanced to his aid and grasped the briefcase offered in her extended hand.

King Napoleon glanced at various paintings as he was lead down a long hallway. He couldn't remember the last time he was here. It must have been several years ago when he was a Prince he thought. He shrugged his shoulders and noticed he had some scuffs of his dress shoes. Today was in no way going right, but hopefully these talks would.

King William the First sat in his study speaking to the young Prince George. For such a young lad, he took much interest in the affairs of the nation, often accompanying his late father on official visits. The King was baffled by how informed this child was, a true monarch of Anglia. He was sure that the Prince would serve the position well when his time came.

The King rose as his guest entered the room. He took the hand of the King of Marquette "My esteemed guest, I welcome you to my home and my country. I trust your trip was comfortable? Please have a seat."

After the pleasantries were through, the two Kings got down to business. "Edmund, these attacks have brought turmoil to our region, and we must act quickly to stop any future attacks. Anglia is fully committed to destroying the terrorist threats that now endanger our people."

The King was a bit taken aback by being called by his first name as most referred to him as Napoleon; yet he felt strangely comfortable.

"Your Highness, we completely feel for your nation. These terrorists have a myriad of motives. It is clear to us that there will be no negotiation, no quarter, and no leeway. These men," the King stopped as he resettled in his chair.

"These animals must be stopped quickly. We are doing everything possible to contain these men. We now believe that our initial intelligence was inaccurate. APM was a much larger group whose majority were in fact peaceful. It seems from those arrested that we missed the most violent. It is our belief that these men are not only intensely against the monarchy of Marquette; but are aligned against most monarchies. We will do our best to corner Red Clay, I assure you"

"Please, call me William. We are both equals in these times of great danger. I do agree, these cowards will be given no quarter whatsoever. Anglia pledges the full cooperation of it's Interior Security Forces and other forces to the cause of destroying Red Clay." The King paused for a moment, then pressed on.

"With former experiences, I have found it best to learn about our enemy as much as possible in order to properly take them down. These organizations must be wiped from the earth in order for us to be completely safe. I recommend we begin joint investigations into the APM and immediately press forward with their destruction."

"I agree," began the King eagerly. "As I told our Belmontien counterpart, we are still working to gather intelligence on Red Clay. We know little. It appears however that they are a generally anti-monarchist group who particularly hate the House of Bonaparte for some reason. APM is a trifle. Red Clay however.... Well, you saw what they are capable of. We must do our very best to destroy these menaces."

The King paused to think for a moment. "APM is not the enemy. As I explained to our Belmontien friends, APM was a group essentially encompassing two groups. A somewhat violent group and a peaceful political group. We arrested most of the violent ones. Red Clay is a splinter from the somewhat violent group, they are the extremists."

The King passed a few sheets of paper from his briefcase. "This is the base intelligence we have. We are conducting interviews as we speak." said the King as he closed his briefcase. "Until then, we really cannot do much. Like fighting a common terrorist organization, we must close ranks and share our intelligence."

The King looked down at the papers he was handed. "Unfortunatley, these organizations are much more obscure for now in Anglia. Intelligence here has begun investigations, but we are simply just barely touching the surface. We will need the help of investigators from Marquette to properly handle this case. I reccomend we should begin a central organization to properly carry out this work. I propose an officer from Marquette to lead this, as you have more developed information on these criminal organizations."

The King slowly stood and and clasped his hands behind his back. He slowly strode towards a window, blankly staring out. The mood went from relatively relaxed to a heavy one in light of the prolonged silence.

"We are doing what we can. I fear this is the worst possible time for this type a thing to have happened. My country, Belmont, and now Anglia. We bare a burden on already weakened shoulders. Our economy is just starting to dig in it's heels. Now Belmont. For God's sake William, they still hold the Emperor against us....after two fucking centuries." The King abruptly stopped and turned around, unclasping his hands from behind his back and folding his arms in front of him. "I will be sending a team to meet with your people. We will find these people...and we will end these people".

"For the sake of our people Edmund, we will destroy them. We can still use these events to our advantage. We must bring Marquette and Anglia closer. Now is the time for a friendship between our country that has not existed for centuries." He realized he had stood up as he spoke fervently, and slowly sat back down.

The King was touched by his counterpart's compassion. He strode over to sit down after his counterpart sat as well. "I wholeheartedly agree my friend. We must bring our countries together. It wont be easy. I feel we have a bumpy path ahead. May I suggest we not only work together to bring Red Clay to their knees; but let us further our trade, start a student exchange program, and possibly combine military technologies."
