Caudillo Labels Kingdom of Justosia Greatest Threat to Peace

Cunill (Risslers) -
As more nations have joined into the sanctions of the Republic of Azilia aiming to increase pressure and economic hardship upon the Kingdom of Justosia in a bold move the Kingdom praised the referendum held in the Justosian occupied portion of Caledonia. This has led to the Caudillo and other officials officially branding the Justosians as the greatest threat to peace on the continent, "With a third of the worlds nations having already joined in complying with sanctions and seeking additional sanctions of their own against the Kingdom you would have thought they would realize they have no support, praising the illegal referendum shows the King and royal leadership are out of touch and care little of the commoner and the suffering they will soon endure" stated the Caudillo.

With the intelligence services of the Republic claiming to have detected radio signatures, and the Caledonian claims of having captured foreign agents before the outbreak of hostilities has continued to lead speculation internally that the conflict that was started by the Hanseatics was escalated by an emboldened Justosia. Minister of Defense Sureda went on the record, "Seeing the Justosians bold step in praising and going forward with an illegal referendum, it leads to the conclusion in my office that the claims are not just speculation but fact. The Justosians view it as they are there, and nobody will challenge them to remove them."

It is expected that the Caudillo will call on the courts in Caledonia to charge those in charge of the FNR with treason amongst other charges they deem fit as yet another sign of the unwavering commitment to Caledonia as a whole.

FROM SUFFERING TO SOLIDARITY: OSTMARK REDEFINES ITS PLACE IN EUROP
E

Through compassionate neutrality, Ostmark seeks redemption from its dark past.

You must be registered to see images.

Wien (Risslers) - In a world increasingly defined by geopolitical rivalries and the devastating consequences of war, the Republic of Ostmark has emerged as a shining example of neutrality and humanitarianism. The small Germanian nation, for almost a decade defined by its dark history of poverty, despair and dictatorship, has used its own painful past as a foundation for its profound commitment to peace and the defense of human dignity. Ostmark believes neutrality can serve not as an excuse for inaction, but as a platform for meaningful engagement on the international stage. Since the fall of the National-Syndicalist regime nearly four years ago, the Republic of Ostmark has pursued a foreign policy defined by impartiality and the rejection of war as a means of resolving disputes. Unlike other nations that navigate complex alliances or project power through military strength, Ostmark has built its international reputation on its ability to mediate, protect, and heal.

Nowhere has this been more evident than in the war-torn regions of Bourgogne, Pannonia and Caledonia, where Ostmarkian peacekeepers have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of civilians and provide critical aid. From defusing mines and confiscating weapons caches to safely evacuating villagers from active combat zones, Ostmark’s peacekeepers have shown the world what selflessness in action truly looks like. Their priority has always been the protection of the most vulnerable—women, children, and the elderly—ensuring they are shielded from harm and provided with the resources to rebuild their lives. “For us, neutrality doesn’t mean standing on the sidelines,” says Major General Heinrich Bauer, mission commander of OHRT-CAL. “It means stepping in to defend the weak, to disarm conflict zones, and to protect the displaced from further suffering. We are not here to take sides but to ensure that human life and dignity prevail.”

Ostmark’s humanitarian missions are rooted in a collective sense of responsibility that has grown stronger with each passing year. Many Ostmarkians still carry the moral weight of their country’s dark past, when the National-Syndicalist regime inflicted suffering on its own people. Today, this historical guilt has transformed into a driving force for good, propelling the nation to extend solidarity to those victimized by war and poverty across the globe. Sociologists often describe Ostmark’s humanitarian efforts as an act of redemption—a way for the nation to cleanse its soul and rewrite its story. This sentiment is echoed in the work of peacekeepers and Red Cross volunteers stationed in Caledonia, who speak of their mission with an almost spiritual reverence.

Corporal Lukas Meinhardt, a young Ostmarkian peacekeeper stationed in Camp Ostmark, recalls one particularly moving moment. “We were evacuating a village that had been bombarded just days before. An elderly woman—she must have been in her eighties—clung to my arm and said, ‘You’ve saved me.’ It’s moments like these that remind me why I’m here.” Such stories of selflessness have earned Ostmarkians the trust and gratitude of those they serve. Locals in Caledonia have come to see Ostmarkian peacekeepers not as foreign occupiers, but as protectors. “They’ve been nothing but kind,” says Aileen MacLean, a teacher from a small village in the region. “They defused the mines around our school and helped us set up safe routes for the children. I don’t know what we would have done without them.”

At the center of Ostmark’s efforts in Caledonia is Camp Ostmark, a sprawling displaced persons camp that has become a symbol of hope amidst chaos. Here, Ostmarkian peacekeepers and Red Cross workers provide essential services, from medical care at the camp’s field hospital to education for displaced children in the camp’s school. The camp even recently inaugurated a 24/7 ambulance service, complete with Advanced Life Support (ALS) units staffed by doctors and drivers working tirelessly to reach those in isolated areas. “We’re not just providing services,” explains Erika Lenz, a senior Red Cross volunteer. “We’re creating a sense of normalcy and stability for people who have lost everything. That’s what makes this work so meaningful.”

Ostmark’s dedication to peace and humanitarianism has not gone unnoticed. Recently, the Principality of @Cervia awarded Ostmarkian peacekeepers with the Order of Peace of the Red Stag, praising their efforts to protect civilians and assist the weak in Caledonia. In their official communiqué, Cervia’s Minister Rosetta Campagna lauded Ostmark’s role in defending human rights and promoting peace. Major General Bauer, in his acceptance of the award, spoke on behalf of his team with deep gratitude. “This medal is not just for us—it’s for the Republic and the people of Ostmark, who believe in the sanctity of life and the importance of standing with the oppressed. Our work is a reflection of the values our Republic holds dear.”

Ostmark’s humanitarian legacy is also a testament to its leadership. Staatspräsident Karl Albrecht has been a vocal proponent of neutrality, often reflecting on the lessons of Ostmark’s troubled history. “Our past reminds us that peace is fragile and must be protected,” he remarked during a recent speech. Chancellor Walter Eidman, the architect of Ostmark’s democratic renaissance, once famously declared, “To help others is to find redemption in ourselves.” His successor, Chancellor Karina Berger, has continued this legacy, ensuring that humanitarian aid remains a priority in Ostmark’s foreign policy.

For Ostmarkians, neutrality is more than a policy—it’s a deeply personal commitment to building a better world. Their efforts in Caledonia, and beyond, are not just acts of kindness but declarations of who they aspire to be. By prioritizing solidarity, compassion, and nonviolence, Ostmark is steadily transforming its international image from a nation haunted by its dark past to a beacon of hope for the future. As the Republic continues to send its peacekeepers and aid workers into the most dangerous and desperate parts of the world, it offers a profound message: that even a nation permanently scarred by its history can choose to stand for peace, humanity, and the protection of the vulnerable.

Civil Guard Established on Ile

Cunill (Risslers) -
In a move aimed at fostering stability and revitalization in the region, the Republic of Azilia has officially announced the formation of a Civil Guard on the Island of Ile that will be formed modelled largely upon its own civil guard which mirrors that of the Frankish Empire. The announcement came during a ceremony held in Ile, the regional capital of the island where LTG Antonio Borjes, commander of the 12th Division, highlighted the importance of reconstruction efforts towards the re-establishment of an independent Caledonia that could better defend itself from foreign forces and domestic threats for a more prosperous future for Caledonia.

The Civil Guard will take on multiple roles as a national police force and a paramilitary force to protect the national borders and waters of the Island and in the future parts of Caledonia. The city of Ile on the island will maintain its own local law enforcement freeing up resources for the civil guard to handle rural and maritime duties. With a projected goal of 1,000 uniformed individuals for the civil guard on the island, the first 100 have been picked by local officials to be sent to the Republic for 3 months of training with the first batch of officers attending the Military Academy in the Azilian city of Merades for a year.

The Caudillos office had no comments following the announcement instead directing reporters to Borjes statements at the ceremony.

OSTMARK'S ELECTION AND THE ROAD AHEAD
Besselman's administration will face significant challenges, including maintaining economic growth.

You must be registered to see images.

WIEN (Risslers) - In the aftermath of Ostmark’s January 7th elections, the international community is closely analyzing the significance of Alexander Besselman’s victory and what it signals for the Republic’s future. The Sozialdemokratische Partei Ostmarks (SDPO) won a decisive mandate, with 61% of the vote, underscoring the public’s resounding support for a progressive domestic agenda, stability, and national reconstruction. At just 39 years old, Besselman is now the youngest chancellor in Ostmark’s modern history, a symbol of generational change and renewed optimism.

For foreign observers, these elections reaffirm Ostmark’s commitment to democracy, four years after the nation’s liberation from dictatorship. Besselman’s rise marks a significant political shift, as his administration pledges to prioritize social reform, economic modernization, and the welfare of ordinary Ostmarkians. His rhetoric of unity contrasts sharply with the National-Syndicalist past of Ostmark, providing reassurance to allies that democracy is firmly entrenched in the Republic’s fabric.

Ostmark’s unique constitutional provisions banning membership in military alliances or defensive pacts continue to shape its foreign policy. This neutrality reflects a deeply ingrained wariness of entanglement in international blocs, a legacy of the Belgarsk Pact’s collapse. During its time as a member of the Marxist-Leninovist alliance, the Volksrepublik Ostmark became synonymous with isolationism and economic stagnation. After the fall of the pact and Ostmark’s national rebirth, neutrality was enshrined to ensure that the Republic could chart an independent, non-aligned path forward.

This neutrality poses both opportunities and challenges. On one hand, it shields Ostmark from the volatility of international military alliances and allows it to focus on domestic recovery. On the other hand, it limits Ostmark’s ability to participate in collective security arrangements. Neighboring nations like the Empire of Eiffelland and the Holy Frankish Empire have expressed a willingness to deepen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the realms of trade and economic investments, while respecting Ostmark’s stance on military neutrality.

Economic modernization is at the heart of Chancellor Besselman’s vision for the future. Ostmark has made significant progress in overcoming the scars of the 2014 default, with its economy experiencing what experts refer to as the "Ostmarkian Economic Miracle". However, the need for infrastructure development remain pressing challenges. Foreign investors are optimistic, particularly after signals from nations like the Holy Frankish Empire about their desire to further invest in Ostmark’s growing economy. Kaiser Paul’s recent invitation to Chancellor Besselman to visit Chagny underscores the growing interest in fostering economic ties with the Republic.

While the SDPO’s overwhelming victory secures a stable government, the political opposition faces a reckoning. The Nationale Volkspartei’s poor performance, receiving just 3.4% of the vote, reflects the electorate’s rejection of reactionary nationalism and its lingering associations with the nation’s totalitarian past. Meanwhile, the CDU and the Zentrumspartei remain secondary players, capturing a combined minority of the vote. Besselman’s government is poised to dominate the legislative agenda, but it must avoid complacency and remain attentive to the needs of all citizens, including those who feel left behind by Ostmark’s transformation. As the youngest chancellor in Ostmark’s history, Besselman’s leadership represents a bridge to the future. His administration will face significant challenges, including maintaining economic growth and preserving national unity. However, his strong mandate and commitment to democratic values have inspired confidence both at home and abroad.

Despite Calls for Unity, Four Caledonias Emerge from One

Dun Eidynn (Risslers) -
In the aftermath of the Caledonian Civil War and the intervention of the Multinational Coalition alongside the Justosian Kingdom, Hanseatic Republic, and Azilene Republic, while most of the international community continues to call for "a united, constitutional, and free Caledonia," it has become increasingly clear that every passing day results in a Caledonia further divided from itself and with four separate socio-economic realities, with no signs of changing anytime soon.

Southern Caledonia experienced significant devastation to both its population and infrastructure during the Covenanter Regime, and there were initial fears that the death and suffering would continue into the winter. However, of the four regions it has experienced the most dramatic recovery to near-prewar levels thus far, thanks to comprehensive foreign aid from the three empires of Josepánia, Yuan, and Eiffelland in particular, along with Caledonia-wide humanitarian aid workers and goods from nations such as Ostmark and Catignia. Combined with the efforts of the late Josepaña Empress Catarina MacCulloch Constantino to streamline the influx of foreign aid and domestic charity services as well as ensuring maximum efficiency in its distribution, the citizens of Southern Caledonia in the Josepaño Occupation Zone have unquestionably the best quality of life with the freest access to both necessities and luxuries good, and a recovering regional infrastructure to ensure the free flow of goods and people. Ivor Blacach, the head of the Blacach a Dheas (Blacach of the South) Clan, has in particular been glowing in his praise of the efforts of the Imperio Josepaño, declaring that "southern Caledonia is a beacon of hope, where Caledonians from the north and the Midlands have streamed in as refugees to join in the recovery process, and they have been welcomed with open arms." With the recent declaration of impending annexation of the Far Northern Republic into the Justosian Kingdom, renewed calls for a restoration of the High Kingdom under Josepaño hegemony have sprouted again, despite the Empire's continued refusal to endorse these efforts.

The Caledonian Midlands also experienced destruction at the hands of both the Covenanters and the Coalition-Hanseatic forces in their efforts to wipe out the former, and they too are embarking upon significant economic recovery over the past few months, but in much more limited scope. Without the same access to foreign aid, the Hanseatics in the Midlands prioritized their efforts towards getting the industrial heartland of Caledonia humming again with resounding success, as the factories currently pump out manufactured goods increasingly close to prewar levels. The quality of life, however, has not achieved as dramatic a recovery and is significantly lower than the south. Only the necessities are accessible to the population, with disposable income and luxury goods increasingly rare, and there are reports of a brain drain occurring from the Midlands to the South due to a centralization of politico-economic power originating in Abercrombie Crossing, where the upper classes that initially escaped the Covenanter regime with their wealth have returned to buy up Midlander factories across the Hanseatic Occupation Zone, focusing on generation of profits over regional economic health. Cormac Eòghanach, the Clan leader of Clan Eoghanach, continues to cooperate with the Hanseatic-based Caledonian National Council and their ideals of a unified Caledonian Republic, though they've found themselves increasingly reliant on Hanseatic economic and political aid to remain relevant to the population.

In the Far Northern Republic (FNR), there is little if any positive news emanating from the fledgling, self-declared state that now finds itself in the midst of annexation into the Justosian Kingdom. President Daniel Blacach, the leader of the Blacach a Tuath (Blacach of the North) Clan, found himself head of a sparsely populated, if immense, swathe of land where the main source of people and infrastructure in Dun Glas was significantly damaged due to Covenanter and Justosian bombing as well as chemical attacks. The international community refused to recognize the FNR, and this combined with significant sanctions upon Justosia and the FNR has contributed to a sharp decline in economic health, leading to widespread desertion amongst the military and police forces and migration of portions of the population south into the Midlands and Southern Caledonia, along with a brain drain. The FNR National Assembly by two votes decided out of desperation to be annexed into the Justosian Kingdom, but this is not expected to bring any significant relief in the short or long term, given expectations of continued refusal by the international community to recognize this latest development. This region of Caledonia has by far the lowest quality of life, and presents a significant challenge to the Justosian Kingdom to reverse this trend before it leads to worsening instability and unrest.

Lastly, in Azilene-occupied Ille Island, there is at best stagnation and at worst creeping decline. The island itself experienced little if any direct harm during the civil war, but was sparsely populated to begin with, and heavily reliant on its connections with the mainland to maintain its economic health. With Azilene-led economic sanctions on Justosia due to its support of the FNR, that connection has been cut off, and alternatives to the other two regions of Caledonia are inefficient and unreliable, leading to a decline in economic health, with significant fears of famine beginning to appear. The decline in quality of life is not as dramatic as the FNR, but it is expected to exponentially increase if little is done to reverse current trends. Ille Island's future is also uncertain, as the Azilene Republic has expressed little desire to end its occupation of the Caledonian territory due to Justosian presence and the Hanseatic occupation of the Channel Islands, and its cooperation with the Coalition is tenuous at best due to the aforementioned Channel Islands.

With increasing gaps in quality of life across the four regions and significant political developments as a consequence, regardless if the gaps indicate recovery or decline, every day that passes harkens to impending failure of one of the core tenants of the Multinational Coalition in restoring "a united, constitutional, and free Caledonia." Involved powers such as Josepánia, the Hanseatic States, Justosia, and Azilia will soon have to rethink their priorities in the divided nation if unity cannot be decisively imposed to reverse these trends, and even then, it may already be too late.

Prosecutor's Dept Probes GGC, Summons Gonaugh for Questions

Palatas (Risslers) -
The Department of the Prosecutor in Spaciria has launched an investigation into the executive management of the Gonaugh Group of Companies, following the disaster that struck MV Galdikas at Edessa.

The Prosecutor General Eivarrd Holmes stated in a statement during a press conference formed immediately following reports of the event that, "The press release from the GGC crisis response team fails to satisfy serious questions that remain unanswered, moreover it is apparent that the company had failed to address significant problems in its quality control structure. Thus, we have summoned the chairman emeritus, Secretary Gonaugh, to answer for this serious episode. Considering his status as a Custodian, we ask that he surrender himself to the Department no later than 24 hours from now. The same goes for all other persons on the board of directors from the same level of management."

Meanwhile, the counsel representing the company has described the investigation and summons as politically motivated, charging, "Why summon non-executive personnel to answer for this? We must ask ourselves who is behind the Prosecutor General? Who appointed him? Those who know, know it for themselves. We insist on the innocence of our client and this goes for everyone being accused. The summons does not come from good faith in the interest of complementing Pelasgian investigations in Edessa. It does not. We will uphold the truth and call on the Department to withdraw its accusations."

Futhermore, the counsel reavealed that it has called on the Edessa Prosecution Office to transfer the investigation to authorities in Palatas and return the arrested crew, citing reasons among others the incompatibility of laws and procedures governing the probe between the two completely different jurisdictions, and insisting from this that the rights of the accused may not be fully protected if investigations persisted in Edessa. "We continue to ask that the investigation, relevant documents, papers and the detained, be returned to Palatas" the counsel concluded.

It remains to be seen if Palatas authorities will cooperate with their counterparts in Edessa or might separate investigations be conducted alongside potentially resulting in completely different or complementing findings.

@Pelasgia

Anonymous Footage Acquired by Risslers.

Dun Eidynn (Risslers) -
Risslers global has come into possession of shocking but unsubstantiated footage of what appears to be Justosian military police rounding up Caledonians in towns near the border of the former FNR and the allied zone. In the footage military police officers can be seen marching Caledonian civilians into train cars at gun point. Audio translated from Aziliene-Justosian language into Engellsh mention labor units and camps suggesting that the Caledonians shown are being forced into labor for the Justosian military.

Currently a buildup of military forces is taking place on both sides after Justosians rejected diplomatic efforts to pause the annexation of the FNR into the Justosian Kingdom. The Justosian government maintains that the annexation is legal after a simple majority vote in the FNR's now disbanded legislature.

It is important to note that the footage has yet to be substantiated as real and the source would not reveal when this footage was shot or exactly where.

Cunill (Risslers) - Reports of an impending conflict between the Catholic Defense League coalition and the Kingdom of Justosia have sent shockwaves through the international community. Amid growing speculation of military mobilizations, Azilian Foreign Minister Jose Rademaker addressed the press today, offering carefully worded statements that stopped short of confirming that war was in fact coming. “The escalation of hostilities in the Gaelic Isles threatens stability in the region, and certain actors who have consistently chosen aggression over diplomacy bear responsibility for this crisis. Justosia has long positioned itself as an outlier in the international order, pursuing reckless policies that undermine peace and cooperation. The world is now seeing the consequences of such isolationist militarism.”

Speculation of war has intensified following multiple reports of CDL aligned forces moving into positions in Caledonia, while Justosian assets have disappeared from port. While both sides remain quiet about specifics, satellite images and eyewitness accounts suggest that the conflict is no longer a matter of if but when.

As the world watches Caledonia, the question remains. Will war be avoided, or has the point of no return already passed? While Azilia remains officially noncommittal, today’s statements and its recent military maneuvers hint at a much deeper involvement than officials are willing to admit.

Avalon Possibly Ready For Talks

Avalon (Risslers) -
Government officials in Avalon have signaled to Risslers that they may be ready to enter into a negotiations over Caledonia. Avalon still maintains that a united Caledonia is not possible nor even wanted by northern Caledonians. The possibility of a two state solution has been floated as a solution for avoiding war.

However despite this, officials in Avalon have stated that no talks can be held until the Azilio-Josepanian Catholic Axis reduces it's forces in the area. Justosian officials state that they arevwilling to commit to talks if these and other unrevealed conditions are met. Until the the military forces of both Justosia and the Coalition continue to stare each other down.

CERVIAN TROOPS JOIN OSTMARKIAN PEACEKEEPERS IN CALEDONIA
A New Era for Humanitarian Relief

You must be registered for see medias

DUN EYDINN (Risslers) – The arrival of 75 Cervian peacekeepers in Caledonia marks a significant expansion of the multinational humanitarian effort spearheaded by Ostmark. The newly reinforced force, now operating under the revised Ostmarkian-Cervian Humanitarian Relief Task Force - Caledonia (OCHRT-CAL), has grown to 155 Ostmarkian soldiers and 75 Cervian troops, bringing the total strength of the peacekeeping contingent to 230 personnel. This collaboration signals a deepening commitment to stabilizing southern Caledonia, where sporadic violence and unexploded ordnance continue to pose a dire threat to civilians.

The peacekeepers from @Cervia , having undergone training in Ostmark before their deployment, seamlessly integrated with their Ostmarkian counterparts. Under the command of Major General Heinrich Bauer of the Ostmarkian Territorial Defense Force, mixed patrols have already begun operations in key areas, focusing on mine clearance, civilian evacuation, and conflict de-escalation.

"This is a mission of humanity, not of arms," Major General Bauer stated during a briefing. "With the addition of our Cervian friends, we are not just increasing our numbers—we are strengthening our resolve. We stand together as a neutral force committed to protecting those who cannot protect themselves."

The integration of Cervian troops into joint patrol units with Ostmarkian peacekeepers has been swift and efficient. These mixed teams, wearing the distinctive blue helmets of peacekeeping forces, as per an Ostmarkian tradition dated back to the civil war in Bourgogne, are tasked with maintaining humanitarian corridors, responding to emergency calls from local communities, and ensuring that aid convoys reach their destinations safely.

Despite coming from different military backgrounds, the Cervians and Ostmarkians share a common doctrine—defense-oriented, humanitarian-driven, and committed to neutrality in an increasingly volatile conflict. Their mission parameters allow them to act as an intermediary force in case of tensions between factions, preventing further escalation and ensuring civilian safety.

The situation in Caledonia remains fragile. The presence of unexploded mines and remnants of the past conflict continues to claim lives, with rural communities facing the greatest risk. OCHRT-CAL peacekeepers have already started surveying further hazardous areas for demining operations. Meanwhile, advance teams are preparing for potential evacuation efforts, should ongoing tensions escalate into full-scale warfare.

Cervia’s decision to join the mission has been widely praised by international observers. The growing commitment of neutral nations like Ostmark and Cervia to humanitarian relief efforts is an encouraging sign that the international community is not turning its back on Caledonia. Their presence will undoubtedly save lives.

Despite logistical challenges, OCHRT-CAL is determined to expand its operations. Plans are already underway to establish secure humanitarian zones where displaced civilians can find refuge. More medical personnel, engineers, and aid workers are expected to join the mission in the coming weeks, further strengthening the force’s ability to provide essential services.

For now, Cervian and Ostmarkian soldiers march side by side, united in purpose. Their mission is clear: protect the innocent, maintain peace, and offer a lifeline to those caught in the turmoil of war. As OCHRT-CAL moves forward, will Ostmark and Cervia save the world?

Cunill (Risslers) - The government of the Republic of Azilia has confirmed that the Santa Catalina, a commercial freighter missing for several days in the Northern Thaumantic, was sunk in what authorities are now calling “a premeditated and shameful act of maritime aggression” by the Kingdom of Justosia.

The Santa Catalina, owned by AziliaComercio shipping firm, was enroute from Josepania to the Azilian mainland carrying industrial components and agricultural machinery. Contact was lost with the vessel days ago under circumstances the government initially described as “uncertain.” Despite widespread rumors, officials maintained public silence until today, citing operational security. The Minister of the Navy confirmed that a small number of survivors, “miraculously spared” he said, were rescued from a life raft by Spascirian fishermen and brought to Cunill by military helicopter. The survivors’ testimony reportedly confirmed the presence of a Justosian submarine in the vicinity of the sinking by their accounts of what happened to the ship and the multiple explosions felt across the vessel in its early morning hours.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Jose Rademaker condemned the incident as “an unforgivable assault on Azilian sovereignty and a blatant breach of international maritime law.” He went on to say, “This was a civilian vessel. It was unarmed. It posed no threat. The Kingdom of Justosia has chosen barbarity over diplomacy once more.”

Pelasgia, @Meridia ink pipeline deal

Propontis (Risslers) – Pelasgia and the Crown of Meridia have agreed to a jointly construct a pipeline connecting the southern Pelasgian oil and natural gas fields and pipeline network with Meridia. The pipeline will utilise the existing Pelasgian network from southern Pelasgia to the Carian coastline, and then cross to the Meridian island of Arcadia, then to Noria, and then finally to Caserta, in Campania. This ambitious project will also make future expansions to Ebria, the Papal States, and @Cervia possible, though both sides have chosen to not make any agreement on these matters until the core network expansion to Caserta is completed first. This is because such an accord would require the consent of multiple other countries, thus needlessly complicating the project in its initial stages.

You must be registered to see images.

Map released by the two parties as part of a press statement

To accord with Pelasgian law that restricts construction of and investment in oil and natural gas-related projects to Pelasgian firms and nationals, any upgrades to the network on the Pelasgian side will be made exclusively by KEPEFA (the Government holding company that owns PelPetrol and PEFA) and its affiliates, particularly Herakles Construction. On the Meridian and international side of the project, both sides will coordinate to make necessary planning and construction, with KEPEFA offering its significant expertise in such projects to the Meridians freely. In the midst of growing geopolitical tension, this project offers the Meridians the ability to have safe access to fossil fuels from a neighbouring country with which they have enjoyed peaceful relations for over a century, while the Pelasgians gain direct access to the continental Gallo-Germanian and Tiburian markets.

While construction will undoubtedly take a few years' time to complete, work is expected to begin before the summer, with both sides being determined to invest significant resources to rapidly advance the project.

CYNE Emerges as Yuan Declares Energy Goal

Da Qiao (Risslers) –
Corporation Yuan Nuclear Energy or CYNE, a state-owned enterprise, organised private and public investment ranging from hard cash to other goods and services pertaining to nuclear energy commitments, to the tune of EM 300 billion on Thursday, as news broke on morning papers and live broadcast about Yuan, revealing according to a Diplomatic Chamber disclosure that the country had attained the knowledge, skills and other developments, organised for developing a long term and viable nuclear energy infrastructure and production.

Now, questions are being asked to where Yuan is sourcing its materials and skills from, as historically mining firms in the country have never discovered deposits of naturally occuring uranium and other resources required for fundamental operation of a nuclear power plant. And also that the country has never exported the material on a public basis anways. While questions surround CYNE's goals. It's owner, the Court of Yuan, declared in a diplomatic notification to all countries, insisting and assuring that CYNE will remain aligned with peaceful use and production.

The Court also answered to a Risslers question, asking if it would commit to the refinement of weapons-grade materials, to which it declared, "We will never create nor use WMDs in any situation. Problems can be resolved through dialogue. This is the assurance we give to the international community."

It remains to be seen how far Yuan is willing to go in its efforts to utilise nuclear energy for civil use, with 30 power plants already scheduled for construction, more may be needed to keep up with the inevitable demand of a billion and more consumers.

Oceanan Secretary of Foreign Affairs Dismissed

New Magnesia (Oceana) - Oceana's Secretary of Foreign Affairs Horatio B. Thornewood has reportedly resigned from his position in the Council of State in an unanticipated Cabinet Shuffle. In a short statement Chancellor Octavian L.V. Ashcroft informed reporters that Secretary Thornewood had "lost the confidence of the Emperor and the Council" over what he termed "persistent policy differences" and had agreed to resign his position voluntarily. A statement from the Imperial Household thanked Secretary Thornewood for his principled and effective work as a Minister. The Ministry of the Exterior will be taking over the portfolio of the Foreign Office pending appointment of a new Secretary.

OSTMARKIAN AND CERVIAN PEACEKEEPERS LAUNCH MASS EVACUATION IN WAR-TORN CALEDONIA
Exhausted and afraid, hundreds of refugees rescued by OCHRT-CAL Blue Helmets.

You must be registered to see images.

DUN EYDINN (Risslers) - In the shattered hills of southern Caledonia, where roads have turned to mud and the air is pierced by distant artillery, a glimmer of order and hope has emerged under the protection of an international force. The Ostmarkian-Cervian Humanitarian Relief Task Force Caledonia (OCHRT-CAL) has begun a massive evacuation operation, codenamed Operation Safe Crossing, aimed at rescuing civilians stranded in the path of an increasingly brutal conflict.

The launch of the operation follows weeks of rising hostilities in the region, particularly near the unstable frontier dividing Northern and Southern Caledonia. Hundreds of civilians, many of them elderly or accompanied by children, had become trapped in contested villages and makeshift shelters as shelling and small arms fire intensified in recent days. Entire families were caught in no man’s land—unable to flee without risking crossfire or encountering landmines left from prior engagements.

Reports from local sources and reconnaissance patrols indicated several dire cases. In one hamlet southwest of the abandoned village of Ainslaw, dozens of villagers had been huddled in the basement of a collapsed school building without access to food, clean water, or medical supplies for nearly four days. In another instance, a group of civilians attempting to flee through a forested area was forced to turn back after encountering unexploded ordnance scattered along the path. A medical emergency involving a pregnant woman in labor was narrowly resolved by the rapid intervention of an OCHRT-CAL patrol, who extracted her under poor weather conditions and delivered her to the field hospital at Campo Speranza, where she gave birth to a healthy child and was later transfered by an Ostmarkian Red Cross ALS ambulance to Dun Eydinn's Pediatric Hospital in agreement with local healthcare authorities.

In response to the deteriorating conditions and the clear inability of local authorities to protect the civilian population, OCHRT-CAL initiated Operation Safe Crossing following the personal authorization of its commander, Major General Heinrich Bauer of the Ostmarkian Territorial Defense Force. The operation’s core objective is to establish a secure humanitarian corridor, roughly fifteen kilometers south of the de facto border, to facilitate the orderly evacuation of displaced persons from high-risk zones.

Evacuation convoys consist of civilian buses provided by the local Caledonian municipal administrations, operating under armed escort from both Ostmarkian Landwehr and @Cervia 's Forze Armate. The convoys are distinctly marked with OCHRT-CAL insignia, and all peacekeepers involved wear blue helmets and identifying insignia in accordance with international humanitarian standards. Every movement is carefully coordinated through secure humanitarian channels to prevent misidentification or hostile interference.

Ahead of the launch, a formal communiqué was issued by the Command and Coordination Unit (CCU) at Camp Ostmark, near Dun Eydinn. The communiqué was addressed to all recognized armed factions, military formations, and national authorities involved in the hostilities and clearly outlined the non-combatant, neutral, and strictly humanitarian nature of the operation. It called upon all belligerents to respect the sanctity of humanitarian action and refrain from any conduct that would endanger evacuees, peacekeepers, or aid workers.

The evacuation operation is being conducted in phases. The first convoys departed on the morning of April 10, reaching isolated communities identified by previous surveillance and local informants. The route was secured in advance by armed patrols and combat engineers, who cleared debris and marked safe passages around suspected minefields. In several locations, peacekeepers arrived under steady rain, guiding civilians through flooded fields and unstable rubble to reach designated extraction points. Many of the evacuees had been living without power or shelter for days. One particularly harrowing rescue involved guiding a group of disabled pensioners, trapped in a former sanatorium on the edge of a shelled industrial district, to safety through a collapsed access tunnel.

The humanitarian camps at Ostmarkian controlled Camp Ostmark and Cervian controlled Campo Speranza, the logistical hearts of the operation, are undergoing rapid expansion to accommodate the surge of evacuees. Built in by joint Ostmarkian and Cervian engineering teams under adverse weather conditions, the camps now feature a functioning field hospital, emergency sanitation, potable water facilities, and command posts coordinating all relief activities in the region. Major General Bauer has ordered the tripling of the hospital’s capacity in Campo Speranza, with new trauma care units and pediatric modules en route from Ostmark. Additional sanitation and shelter units are being installed to preserve not only physical safety but also the dignity of the displaced population.

Security at the camps and along the evacuation routes is being reinforced by regular patrols of OCHRT-CAL infantry, operating under defensive rules of engagement. Their primary mission remains the protection of civilians and humanitarian personnel. While the situation remains fluid and fraught with danger, no attacks or violations of humanitarian law have been reported since the operation began.

Operation Safe Crossing has not only provided immediate relief to hundreds of families but has also become a powerful symbol of unity in action. The cooperation between the Republic of Ostmark and the Principality of Cervia, two nations with distinct histories and cultures, reflects a shared commitment to peace, human dignity, and international responsibility. The image of blue-helmeted peacekeepers carrying children through flooded streets or shielding elderly evacuees from the cold has already begun to circulate across international media.

The road ahead remains uncertain. Much of Caledonia is still engulfed in conflict, and access to many contested zones remains limited or impossible. Yet the success of these first evacuations—and the courage of those executing them—offers a beacon in the darkness. For the civilians who looked up from the mud and rubble and saw peacekeepers standing between them and the war, the meaning was unmistakable. They were not forgotten. Help had arrived.

THE REPUBLIC STRIKES BACK
Why Ostmark is Waging a Relentless War on Neo-National Syndicalism.

You must be registered to see images.

WIEN (Risslers) — In a thunderous speech that echoed through the National Assembly and across the Republic, Chancellor Alexander Besselman declared an uncompromising war on the resurgence of neo-National Syndicalism in Ostmark, describing it as “a poison in the heart of democracy” and “the lingering ghost of tyranny that will be crushed beneath the full weight of the Republic.”

The statement, broadcast live to millions across the country, came just hours after a major counter-terrorism operation was carried out by ZOSS-1, the elite tactical unit of Ostmark’s Staatspolizei, against a heavily armed cell of the Kampfgemeinschaft Revolutionärer National-Syndikalistischen (KRNS)—a militant group ideologically aligned with the late Horst Grasser’s regime, which ruled the nation with an iron fist until its downfall in 2020.

The raid, which unfolded in the industrial outskirts of Wien, led to the arrest of 4 suspects and the seizure of large stockpiles of weapons, propaganda material, and evidence linking the cell to the December 13th 2020 attack on the Palast der Republik—a massacre that left 82 dead and is widely regarded as the darkest moment of the post-Grasser transition period.

For many outside observers, the intensity of the response may seem startling, even excessive. But for Ostmarkians, the scars left by the National Syndicalist regime are still fresh. The period between 2018 and 2020 saw the democratic institutions of the country systematically dismantled under Grasser’s rule, a quasi-totalitarian dictatorship that combined militarized populism with violent repression.

The 2020 December Crisis—a short but bloody civil conflict—ended with the restoration of democracy under Interim Chancellor Ludwig Bohmer, and eventually with the election of Walter Eidman, a former resistance leader, in January 2021. But the trauma of that era remains deeply embedded in the Ostmarkian psyche, and the resurgence of any movement even loosely associated with Grasserism is perceived not just as a threat, but as an existential danger. “In most countries, extremists like these are a fringe problem,” says Dr. Helena Varga, a political analyst at the Ostmarkian Institute for Democracy. “In Ostmark, they are a symbol of the worst years in living memory. The reaction isn’t just political—it’s personal, historical, and deeply emotional.”

The operation that prompted Besselman’s fiery speech was spearheaded by ZOSS-1—the Zentrale Operative Sicherheitseinheit-1—an elite rapid-response task force created during the democratic reformation of the Staatspolizei. ZOSS-1 now represents the cutting edge of Ostmarkian internal security. Their raid on the KRNS safehouse was the result of a months-long investigation that uncovered plans for coordinated attacks against political targets and transportation infrastructure. ZOSS-1 operatives, clad in full tactical gear and operating under strict legal protocols, executed the raid with surgical precision, suffering no casualties while neutralizing a highly volatile threat. In a joint press conference with the Interior Ministry, officials confirmed that the cell had access to explosive materials and encrypted communication with other cells possibly active in other parts of the country.

Chancellor Besselman’s speech did not mince words. His language was unapologetically martial—some critics abroad called it “dangerously jingoistic.” But domestically, the reaction was overwhelmingly supportive. Besselman, himself a former underground dissident during the Grasser years and a veteran of the December uprising, has staked his political legacy on defending the Republic’s hard-won democracy. “The time for appeasement is over. This is not merely a question of law enforcement—it is a question of national survival,” Besselman said during a press conference, his voice rising with each sentence. “We are the sons and daughters of the Republic. Our fathers built it. We will not let it fall again!”

As Ostmark tightens its grip on extremist factions, the international community is left to ponder the implications. On one hand, its determination to defend democratic values is commendable in an age of creeping authoritarianism across parts of Europe. On the other, some human rights observers have raised concerns about the potential overreach of internal security forces and the vague legal status of emergency measures still in place since the December Crisis. However, as Besselman himself stated, “Liberty is not defended with words alone, but with courage, conviction, and yes—sometimes with force.”

For Ostmark, democracy is not an abstraction—it is a fragile flame carried through the darkness of the history of the small germanian Republic, guarded fiercely by those who nearly lost it. The crackdown on KRNS is not merely a police operation; it is a reaffirmation of a national vow: that never again will Ostmark yield to tyranny.

As ZOSS-1 helicopters hovered over Wien, and the streets with candlelight vigils for the victims of the 2020 massacre, Ostmark’s citizens were reminded of both the fragility and strength of their republic—a republic that has chosen to fight, not falter.

Strength through Disarmament, says VichyCha, at Valls Labour Meet

Valls (Risslers) — Spasciria's VichyCha Aldewaiss attended a major summit in Meridia's Valls, on May 1st in line with labour day celebrations, involving world leaders coming from the left wing of the socioeconomic scene. Premier Aldewaiss attended a forum meeting hosted by the Social Democratic International, an organisation of the left founded by the ruling Labour Party in Meridia. At the summit, also attended notably by Ostmark's Chancellor, major and minor figures of governing leaderships were present.

Speaking before the august summit of attendees, the Premier, who has governed Spasciria through austerity and prosperity, since the death of his father then-Premier Alfred Julian in 1997, conveyed the message of his party the Spascirian National Congress, a message that announced the ultimate policy of Spasciria for the final decade of the Aldewaiss Cabinet.

"We look now on this day, of labour and of hardship. Men before me, I tell you that these facts of life need not be true, nor facts at all be they should. The human capital is that through which we gain strength through intelligence, through education, and that removes the vicious cycle of poverty. The hardship caused by this cycle is now further exacerbated by troubles in the seas." The Premier said, before continuing.

"Troubles I'm sure all of us know, all too well recently. Working men and women have died on the seas in service to the good faith of their work, to service their country and furnish the quality of life for all peoples to the highest degree. Their sacrifice stands before us though we mourn them fallen. Their sacrifice is ours to uphold, not to waste, not to give away."

His opening remarks attracted considerable applause, especially among this gathered audience of emiments and laymen, who have suffered amidst the breakout of yet another war, affected directly by the recent tragedies in April which saw Justosian submarines attack merchant vessels, an active threat.

The Premier then gave his word to the world, drawing some support, holding violence in contempt and urging pacifism, continuing he said.

"My party calls upon everyone, be ye men of labour or of office, to unify under disarmament of the high seas, to impose our will of peace and her spirit which drives the very foundations of every sane modern society today. The scare in the seas will persist and if we do nothing or do too little, then fear will hold us to ransom."

"And our cause will be lost."

Following another 10 minutes, he left the podium to wide applause.

The Premier has called on the left to seek pacifism to extinguish war. What remains to be seen is whether words can be executed or do they fall flat as in most politics?

Fu Emperor's S1 Car Spotted at Josepano Circuit, Sparking Visit Rumours

San Jose (Risslers) -
The System 1 Racing Car, SJ10 or ShuJian10, famously owned and driven by the Fu Emperor of Yuan Guo, was seen earlier today being offloaded from a container lorry at a private circuit in San Jose, capital of Josepania. This has ignited rumours among fans of the sport, motoring journalists and the international press that the Yuanese Leader may soon be paying a visit to Josepania. A speculation not unfounded due to the warming relationship of both countries and their leaders. @Josepania

Vivaian Mitomsky, renowned motoring journalist and expert, speculates that a visit if true, might include a long term stay, reasoning that the Emperor has never brought his SJ10 to foreign circuits, to private tracks, when there would be no competition scheduled. Mitomsky believes this event to be more consequential than a simple race visit to the Josepano racing environment and thinks there may be more at play.

These beliefs are also shared by political analyst and expert, Jian Utai, who said on the matter that the appearance of the SJ10 outside times of competition makes it very likely that a Yuanese state visit to Josepania may be at hand. Utai based his reasoning on the recent admission of Yuan as a member into the League of Monarchist States, an organisation first endorsed by the Josepano Crown.

Utai also speculates that more is afoot with this sudden appearance of the SJ10, indicating to himself as he placed it, "No one takes their favourite toy to a small track, when they've got a bigger one at home. Either this is a second home or the start of an adventurous vacation."

Meanwhile, reporters from Risslers have obtained critical information pertaining to this matter from sources of purportedly high ranks who asked not to be named, revealing that the Emperor has been personally grooming his son, Crown Prince Fu Jun Kai, in studies of governance and leadership, seemingly preparing the heir apparent for future.

While, this remains speculative without any formal acknowledgement from Yuanese officials even following a Risslers request, the question still remains: What is the SJ10 doing in Josepania?

Oceana Adopts Provisional Naval Law, Imperial Address Expected

New Magnesia (Oceana)
- Oceana's Council of State has enacted the provisional Naval Law of 2026 which, if ratified, will set in motion a major buildup of the Imperial Navy, directing the Navy to begin preparations to expand from a three to four Carrier Strike Group fleet on a permanent basis. The majority of the Law's text remains classified but according to a spokesman for the War Ministry in the next year the Law directs the Navy to begin overhauls of certain mothballed ships, including the INS Romulus, while also allocating funds to lay new keels for the warship classes currently in production and directing the War Commissariat to increase annual conscription, warrants and commissions. Reportedly a renovation of the defunct shipyards at Starry Cross is the preferred option for expanding shipyard capacity.

Not currently known is the full fiscal impact of the provisional Law or how it will be funded if ratified. The Finance Ministry has announced they have developed a "comprehensive revenue and expenditure strategy" as part of the ongoing budget process, but declined to release any details, citing the sensitivity of the ongoing 2026 State Budget process. Informed sources have indicated to Rissler's the Council of State is likely to propose increased deficit spending in the 2026 Fiscal Year, noting inflation numbers have been close to target.

The Imperial Household confirmed to Rissler's the Emperor has been "personally involved" in the drafting of the 2026 Naval Law and that it is part of a new "strategic vision" he intends to advance to nation and to the next National Assembly. Details are not forthcoming but foreign policy analysts consulted by Rissler's say they believe His Imperial Majesty is planning a major shift in Oceana's foreign policy. Military analysts suggest the proposed naval buildup would leave the Imperial Navy second in size and capability to only Sylvania in Westernesse if fully implemented. Market reactions were muted, market watchers believe most investors are in a holding pattern awaiting details of the forthcoming state budget before making any major moves.

Nanuka, Yuan Agree to Series of Projects in Trade Expansion Aim

Da Qiao (Risslers) -
Weeks following the state visit of the Yuanese court chancellor Liu in the Republic of Nanuka, ambassadors from both countries have finally issued their joint commitment to setting in motion and without further delay, the agreements surrounding trade and bilateral economic affairs between the two countries, in deals surpassing most estimations.

According to a report, Da Qiao Fund Corporation will work jointly with Nanukan investors to fund the expansion of Harper's Landing International to better accomodate freight capacity and proper trade facilities and furnishing, as Yuan and the international community looks to the opening of new and emerging markets in the often understated emerging economic capacity of Nanuka.

The report from a joint spokesman, also detailed large investment for further facilities, extensions and others at an existing Port to handle and increase facilities for high capacity cargo shipments and others, working mutually towards Nanuka becoming a central hub for international trade in the continent.

In addition to the arrangement, successful rounds of negotation have secured increases in the export quota of Nanukan lithium and other critical rare earth materials essential to the production of everyday products, elevating the Republic as a key exporter in the community of rare earth exporters. Anticipating the natural increase of Yuanese freight coming into and through the country, Yuanese companies have also secured a further deal on landing fees at Harper's Landing and better docking rates at the port, further culminating the country as an attractive, competitive and viable economic partner in terms of international trade, community and relations.

The court chancellor hailed the meeting in Nanuka as one which ultimately leads to a bright path for both countries and the wider community. @Nanuka
