President Martin Sunter sighed as he sat in his lounge chair in his main office. Sitting around him were his top advisors, a band of dangerous vigilantes has become quite a nuasuance in the country of Freiheit. Now the newly elected President, Martin Sunter, was tasked with getting rid of them. It was Chris Hoffman, head of the Federal Investigation Force who first spoke.

"Mr. President, the F.I.F. has pinpointed thier location. The Nationalist Front is holed up in the Bergarbeiter Mountains in the Kohle province. All we need is your permission, and we can begin arresting and invading thier little make-shift fortress."

"That would be foolish! They have been buying arms for months now! They will be well-armed and will not allow the F.I.F. to just waltz right in! This is a rebellion, we need to send in the military to crush it!" Argued Defence Minsister, Arnold Kolgrim.

"They have not publicly announced anything that would classify them as rebels. They are simply vigilantes, criminals, who happen to have armed themselves." retaliated Hoffman.

"How exactly do you plan on getting in their? The F.I.F. is not a organization trained for combat. They are trained for investigation." said Kolgrim.

"They do have certain divisions that are trained for counter-terrorism. The F.I.F. can fight the Nationilist Front." spoke Sunter.

"But Mr. President! They-" began Hoffman.

"I have heard what you have to say Arnold. And I have made my decision." interupted Sunter.

"The F.I.F. will begin moving immedeatly sir. You made the right choice."

The meeting was adjourned and the people began walking out of the office. Hoffman was smiling to himself as he lit his cigarette...

Marshall Denever walked into the huge house that seemed to be just tucked away in the Bergarbeiter Mountains. The house had obviously used to be a holiday home, probably used by some obscenely wealthy man as a vacation spot. However, now it had been turned into a fortress. Sandbags were piled up in several strategic locations, along with tables, and anything else that could be made into a bunker. Marshall had curly blonde hair, and blue eyes. He was a Hofflander, infact a very high ranking one. He was teh head of The C.I.A. in Hoffland. He had been tasked with arming the Nationalist Front, and ensuring that it became violent. As he walked into the house, the man who was in charge of the Nationalist Front, Viktor Burkhard, walked up and held out his hand.

"Hello, Mr. Burkhard." said Marshall as he shook Burkhard's hand.

"And a hearty hello to you..."

"My name is Denever."

"Ah yes, that was the name. You have done Freiheit a good thing you have. Now we will eb able to rise up as a-" began Burkhard.

"Right, right, have you recieved teh newest shipment of weapons?"

"Yes yes we have my friend. And we think the F.I.F. is planning an assualt on us soon."

"Good, now I really cant be long."

"Nonsense! Come have a drink!"

"I do not drink, its bad for my liver."

"Oh... in Freiheit this is a sign of friendship."

"Well we are business partners, not friends."

"I see. So you were leaving? Allow my men to show you out."

"There is no need. I see the door, my men are then cabaple of escorting me twenty feet."

As he said this Marshall walked out of the door with his gaurds and got into his van. Soon he would have had his way, and the Hoffland Government would be one step closer towards its goal...

N.F. Compound

Agent Bastian Goldstein crawled through the grass. He was to lead the attack on the N.F. compound. He was in command of over 150 F.I.F. anti-terroism commandos. After what seemed like forever, the N.F. compound finally came into view. It looked more like a ski-resort, thought Goldstein, however teh windows were all bordered up and there was two make-shift towers with search lights that had been hastily put up in the front of teh compound.

As the continued to crawl, a N.F. guard began to walk through the grass. He was smoking a cigarette and seemed to be admiring his pistol. That was when something struck Goldstein as odd. That pistol reminded him of one he saw in Hoffland when he was on another mission. As he looked at it, a bullet was fired into the N.F. gaurd's head. The soft click of the silenced M-P5 was like music to Goldstein's ears. It was then that something went wrong, as a dog began parking loudly from within the compound.

"Oh go take a piss you obnoxious mutt!" yelled an unseeable N.F. gaurd as the dog ran outside, immedeatly running for the F.I.F men hiding in the grass. The searchlight playfully followed the dog, and then stopped on one of the F.I.F. agents.

"WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!!!" yelled the man on the tower.

Things were about to get really bloody... really fast.

Burkhard was moving while reloading his Hoff-made rifle. He opened fire and took out three FIF agents. Then as he hid behind one of the sandbag bunker's threw a grenade into the long grass in front of the HQ.

"Don't let those Capitalist bastards get into our fortress!" He yelled.

Agent Goldstein ran foward, and fired a grenade from his grenade launcher. The grenade hit one of the towers and took it down. The tower splintered as it fell onto the roof of the fortress. Then he began giving supressive fire on the bunkers, giving his men a chance to charge the compound.

Shit, thought Burkhard. He had planned for this of course. But the back up plan was a very violent one, and he had been hoping for a small casualtie count. I'll give my men a few more minutes before I resort to that, he decided.

The battle raged on, and the FIF continued to advance. They eventually took out all of the resistance outside of the compound and began to move in. Burkhard began to sprint onto the roof. Goldstein saw him as he ran, and pursued him. He opened fire, but Burkhard turned a corner as he did so. When Goldstein reached the stairs, Burkhard turned around and fired at Goldtsein. He jumped to the side as the bullets smashed a window a few yards back. Then he continued to pursue as Burkhard began to run again.

Burkhard dissapeared behind a door, that presumably led to the roof. Goldstein kicked it down... and found 20 rifles aimed at him.

"Drop your weapon!" yelled one of the Guards. He obeyed and then dropped to his knees with his hand on his head.

"You thought that the FIF would simply be able to walk in and eleiminate me and my men a s a threat? Well you thought wrong fool... start the chopper." Said Burkhard as he pulled out a revolver.

"Why do you have to resort to violence? You could peacefully protest you know... such a matter of rebellion exsists." spoke Goldstein.

"Ha. You know as well as I do that peaceful protest never does any good. How else are we going to oppose your President's regime? He is making our beautiful Freiheit capitalist! How can you all sit back and allow this to happen!?"

"He is doing nothing of the sort Burkhard! You are just a man desperate to gain power. You are mad you didnt win the elections fairly so you think you can seize power with a revolt!" yelled Goldstein.

"SILENCE PIG!" screamed Burkhard as he pistol whipped the FIF agent. Then he stepped back and looked at the chopper.

"We are ready when you are sir." spoke the pilot.

"Very well. Its time to use the back up plan gentlemen. Start the sequence." He spoke as he pulled the revolver's hammer back and put the gun in Goldstein's face. Goldstein swallowed as Burkhard's grip tightened on the trigger.

A soft click was all that the pistol produced however as it misfired.

".... if god wishes to spare you fine. We shall see if you survive the C-4. Fair well agent. Get into the chopper men."

"What about the other men down there fighting?" asked one of the rebels.

"They have died well for thier country. Now get in." Burkhard said as he climbed into the chopper. The men followed. Goldstein waited for the chopper to begin flying, then he puled out a grenade and threw it at the chopper. It exploded a few feet from the chopper, and only shook it up a bit. Goldstein looked ran to the edge of the roof. The compound was three stories tall... and jumping off would result in death almost as surely as the explosions would. There was nothing but rocks and boulders at the bottom. Then he felt the rubble of the first of the explosions. He jumped off, and as he was falling the rest of the explosives went off, sending his body flying away from the compound.

The last thing he remembered was seeing a man on fire run out of the building while Goldstein drifted out of conciousness.

New NF Base somewhere in the Hoffland city of Delta

Denever walked into the meeting room. Burkhard and his top generals were sitting at a round table. Denever took a seat, as he sipped from his coffee.

Burkhard spoke after about two minutes of silence.

"So your government did not approve of you selling weapons to us?"

"No they did not. So you being here is a great risk to me."

"Then why would you help us?"

"Becuase I can use you and your men."

"You think we will simply allow you to use us!?" Burkhard said as his anger began to rise.

"I believe that you had better do as I say. Because I have something that might interest you." He then waved his hands, signaling the guards to bring in Burkhard's family. They were bound tightly and thier mouths were sealed shut.

"How the hell did you find them!?"

"I must appluad your efforts to conceal them. It was pretty difficult. However eventually I bribed one of those precious generals of yours to tell me. That little cottage in the Ogden coutnryside just didnt seem to suite them. So I brought them here." As Denever said this Burkhard suddenly pulled out a pistol, instead of shooting Denever he shot one of his Generals, whom he seemed to know had told Denever his families whereabouts.

"I think you know what this means. You work for me now. Otherwise your beautiful wife and children die. And they will not have a quick death either, they will die a very long and painful death. And I have a job for you and your men."

"What do you want."

"I need you to attack the city of Culdre, its on the border between Freiheit and Hoffland. Capture the village. Kill everyone and anyone who argues to your occupation. Then, when Freiheit military forces attack you, provoke them a little, but then flee over the border. I will have a token force of soldiers disguised as Hoffland Forces waiting, and they will open fire on the Freiheitians."

"... You want war between Freiheit and Hoffland? What would this accomplish?"

"That is not for you to ask. Keep in mind that if you fail, your family will die."

"Hoffland cannot stand up to the Freiheit military! Surely you know this."

"Silence!"

"... You dont want Hoffland to win the war... you think that by having Hoffland lose it can be vulnerable to you taking over."

"You are not as stupid as you look."

"I will not do such a thing!"

"Isn't this what you and your 'Nationalist Front' want? For Freiheit to become a huge force in the world? By defeating Hoffland as bad as it will be defeated your country will gain a lot of land and prestige."

"But... alright. I dont have a choice."

"No you dont."

"We will do as you say."

"Your dismissed."

Burkhard left the room, looking at his wife and children with a sad look on his face. His Generals followed him out. Then the family of Burkhard was taken out and put back into thier holding cell. Denever was left alone in the room, smiling to himself. He thought about how easy this was. Soon he would be in control of Hoffland, something he had dreamed about since he was a child. As he sat there, one his top agents walked in, this agents name was simply Philip. Philip was one of the many super agents that the Hoffland C.I.A. had in its possesion. Super agents were agents that were abducted as children and trained thier whole life to be mindless, obedient, killers.

Philip spoke, "Sir the family has been executed as you ordered."

"Good, and I want you to be there Philip when Burkhard and his men run back over the border. I want you to be the one who kills him."

"Yes sir."

As Denever stood up to leave something caught his attention. The clocks in the room were all ticking in unison. Kind of like a countdown. Denever smiled as he walked out of the room.

Chris Hoffman walked into the hospital room of Agent Bastian Goldstein. He pulled up a chair and sat down, nearly cringing as he looked at the agents face. Goldstein's face had almost completely burned off by the explosion, yet the Doctors had informed Hoffman that Goldstein was capable of speaking.

Hoffman began, "Hello Goldstein. I see the mission was not succesful?"

"No... it was not." the words seemed to labour him greatly. Speaking was obviouisly no easy task.

"I need you to tell me what happened. You see, everyone else was killed in the explosion, or is still in critical condition."

"I... talked with Burkhard... he didn't reveal... any secrets. I'm... afraid I... can't be... of much... help."

"Nothing? You got close to Burkhard and you couldn't find out anything?"

"Well... the weapons... one... of the guards... had a pistol... that I recognized... from one... of my... previous missio...ns... It looked like... a Hoff officers... pistol."

"Hoffland? Hoffland has been suppling this terrorist organization? Do you realize that they publicly condemned the NF?"

"I know... what I saw."

"Well thanks for your uh... help." said Chris Hoffman as he walked out of the room. What a lunatic, thought Chris.

Culdre, 2:30 p.m.

The queit town of Culdre, was suddenly interupted by the sound of Military trucks. The Nationalist Front had arrived. NF officers were yelling through loudspeakers, telling the populace to cooperate... or die. A few of the townsfolk resisted, but they only proved that the NF was not fooling around when it threatened death.

Once the town was secure, Burkhard stepped out of his military truck. He looked around at the frightened civilians, with a look of sadness and regret on his face. He lit a cigar as he walked around waiting for the Freiheit military to show up. It took about three hours, but they definetly showed up.

Freiheit tanks and choppers appeared, and they did not hold back at all. Soon Burkhard gave the order to retreat back over the border. So the trucks hightailed it out of there, with the Freiheit forces in hot pursuit. Soon, the border came into view. Burkhard could see the CIA's pretend Hoffland Military force. The Freiheit paused for a few minutes as the NF forces crossed over the bridge. Then they continued... the 'Hoffland' forces opened fire. Taking out four choppers and two tanks.

The Freiheit forces began wiping out the Hoffland forces, as the NF men got away. When the NF got far enough that they had lost the Freiheit forces they pulled over and got out of thier trucks. Then a single car drove up to the NF camp. When it stopped, Philip walked out of the car.

Burkhard spoke, "Tell your boss that we succeeded."

"He already knows. H esends his congratulations." Then Philip whipped out a pistol and fired a single shot, hitting Burkhard in the forehead. The NF forces opened fire on Philip, ripping him apart with machine gun fire. But what had happened could not be undone... and the war had already been set into place.
