Well, it is clear who the warmongerers are. Not the Eiffelloretalians. It is also clear now what we already suspected: Serenierre wants to conquer the Retalian Islands, despite Premier Martinique stating the opposite.
We have made clear an enormous number of times that the Retalian Sea is free for any maritime vessel sailing to and from Eastern Serenierre, but the Sereniens seam to be deaf and blind every time we say and show that the Retalian Sea is free for their vessels. Even if we take the twelve nautical miles territorial waters around the Retalian islands into account, there is more than enough international waters available for Serenien ships to sail through. But the Sereniens don't want to see that. The Sereniens don't want to hear that. The Sereniens continue to accuse us of blocking off the Retalian Sea. As we see now, with the purpose to fabricate a casus belli and conquer the Retalian Islands.
Eiffelland-Retalia wants stability. We will continue our policies regarding the Retalian Sea: It remains open for any kind of sea traffic to and from Eastern Serenierre and Lars. When needed, we are willing to sign a treaty for that. This is something we proposed earlier as well, but apparently also at that time the Serenien government was deaf and blind.
We realise, and the government of Serenierre should realise, that we both have a responsibility to Lars and to a lesser extent Fleur. The government of Serenierre should realise that Lars and Fleur, countries which don't have anything to do with our dispute, will suffer enormously when a war breaks out in the Retalian Sea. Eiffelland-Retalia and Serenierre have enough other ways of access to the large sea routes, but Lars and Fleur only have one: Through the Retalian Sea. By the way, we do realise that Fleur is landlocked. However, also Fleur trades overseas; it uses the seaports of Lars and Gunnland for that.
