Auraria and Tyrculir call for the independence of the Faroe Islands
AP Heredia

The current chaos in Danmark has been a pressing issue for many of the nations in the area for a long period of time now, but the impact on Auraria has been comparatively low. When questioned, no branch of government would offer no details on any plan that the Aurarine Government had to deal with the situation. For all intents and purposes, it seemed that Heredia turned a blind eye to the crisis.

That changed today when Senior Tribune Victor Allende announced to the press that both Auraria and Tyrculir have come together to issue a joint statement that the two nations are now calling for the independence of the Faroe Islands, a small grouping of islands off the coast of central Zulia-Santander. The statement was one of the firmest that Auraria has ever made in relations to foreign affairs.

“From this day forward, the governments of Tyrculir and the Aurarine Republic stand in solidarity that the fate of the Faroe Islands is to be their own, free from the power of foreign officials thousands of miles away. We will not tolerate the continued subjugation of the people of the Faroe Islands by any nation.”

In a later interview, Senior Tribune Allende pushed the statement even further by declaring that the Aurarine Government will support the plights of all people in all places to free and independent rule. When questioned further, the Senior Tribune confirmed that he held this belief for the territories occupied by Frescania, Potenza, and Østveg in Zulia-Santander.

“Our continent has no place for colonial powers, we are a free land,” the Senior Tribune declared.

Currently, it is unknown what steps the Aurarine Government seeks to make in order to enforce, or at the very least, increase the credibility of their stance. It is unclear whether or not the Danish Government would heed the Aurarine Government and many would point to the fact that they wouldn’t. It raises not one, but two questions. The first being “what is Auraria willing to do?” and the second being “what can Auraria do?”

Military movements observed along Sikando-Vangalan border
AP Shahdara

Independent sources have informed the bureau that there have been a series of unscheduled military movements across segments of the international border between Sikandara and Vangala, most possibly on the Sikandari side, to plug up weak regions in the wake of recent tensions between the two rival states over the sinking of three fishing boats by the Sikandari Navy. The Spokesman for the Sikandari Imperial Military has said, "The redeployments have occurred following changes in the political situation and should not concern anyone."

However, recent statements issued by the Military chief of the Sikandari armed forces, in which made veiled threats of "liberating Kilkila" if Vangala invaded Sikandara, are bound to make the reaction in Vangala, tense and hostile.

We call upon the governments of Sikandara and Vangala to settle their conflict in a peaceful way. There is already a large war raging in their neighbourcountry Yujin. Yet another war might very well destabilise the region, and maybe even the whole world.

Sikandari Military seeks larger budget, as Government & Opposition collide on defence policy
AP Shahdara

The Imperial Military of Sikandara has been hosting the "Defence Expo Shahdara 1953" which has attracted major international arms manufacturers and has been deemed a success by the domestic press in Sikandara. But behind the scenes, the military is actively pushing for a large increase in its funding, which is said to be alarmed at the possibility of a spillover of the conflict in Yujin and possibly a Communist invasion of the Sikandari mainland from its eastern neighbour. According to sources in Shahdara, the Imperial High Command is seeking to increase its 1954 budget by 40%, most of which it seeks to spend on enlargement, acquisition and modernisation programmes.

But while the Government – run by the conservative Cerulean Coalition – supports the military, the opposition Orange Democrats have spoken against defence spending increases, a move supported by the handful of independents, communists and republicans present in the Imperial Parliament. They argue that the Government would only fan the flames of war in the region and the move would be seen as a threat by the nascent communist regime in Vangala, serving as a self-fulfilling prophecy. This debate arises just as the Government has accused the Sikandari Communist Party, represented in Parliament by 6 members, of having links with foreign governments, a very serious allegation by all accounts. The tense environment has only added to the vitriol between government and opposition representatives, who have used the debate on defence policy to question the government and its "paranoid worldview".

Chancellor Suleymani, while speaking in Parliament said, "While I welcome debate, I do not think there can any compromise on matters of national defence. The threat from communism is plain before us. The Imperial Government in Yujin failed to understand the corrosive influence of the Marxists and now sees the result of its folly." The Chancellor was clear that if required, he would use his party's majority to force through legislation allowing an increase in defence spending, if the opposition became "unreasonable".

A Thaumantic arms race? Häyhist Fennia keeps stocking up on armament
AP Kristiania

Though tensions in the Northern Thaumantic littoral have seemingly calmed down from what they were several months ago, expert analysts of Scanogermanian politics remain worried that a storm could be brewing underneath the relatively calm surface. While the present situation is in no way comparable to the earlier Fennian-Havenite naval crisis or the vocal war of words between Fennia and Ostveg several months ago over their territorial disputes, the recent foundation of the Tripartite Pact and a quiet Fennian response is being seen as something that could set the stage for a new era of Northern Thaumantic tension.

The Tripartite Pact is an alliance of Sylvania, Ostveg and Ivernia, and the two former states have historically enjoyed tumultous relations with the Fennian Union. This largely stems from the historical territorial dispute over the Malminmaa region - called Vesterålen by the Auswegians - which was seized by the Fennians in the 1873-1875 Fennian-Agder War, and has been claimed by Agderike and its successor state Ostveg ever since. In turn, the Fennian Union has refused to recognize Ostveg as a successor of the Agder kingdom until Kristiania in turn recognizes the region as a Fennian constituent. The border between the two countries is heavily fortified, particularly in the Fennian side where a defensive network known as the Häyhä Line - named after Fennian strongman Marshal Joakim Häyhä - was erected in the 1940s.

With the Havenites, also a historical Fennian enemy, first focused on the Yujiner civil war and now quiet on the international stage, many believe the Tripartite Pact is now being considered a primary threat to Fennian security by the Häyhä regime. Accordingly, Kalevala has continued to increase the pace of its armament programs announced earlier this year. While much of the so-called Five-Year Army Reform is aimed at technological development, some believe that the program might also herald a numerical expansion in the Fennian military, particularly in the case of the Union Navy which at this time is commissioning new naval vessels and modernizing old ones.

Most recently, the Fennian Navy has been commissioning new vessels under the Destroyer/Escort Destroyer 55 program, and is rumored to be deploying a new class of diesel-electric submarines before the end of the year. Modernization of larger capital ships is also underway, and the battleship UA Turisas was restored to active service earlier this year in a move which some naval analysts believe might also result in future capital ship construction by the Fennian military. At the same time, the Fennian Air Force is commissioning new fighter-bomber and tactical and strategic bomber models to answer to the rapid development of air warfare throughout Europe, while the Land Forces are also receiving new armament at an increasingly rapid pace.

"The formation of the Tripartite Pact has upset the Thaumantic balance of power and is being seen as a major security threat to Kalevala", said one analysts of an Auswegian university interviewed by the Associated Press, "It's also very likely that the Fennian government will now seek closer ties with ideologically close powers such as the Mezhist Union, with whom there has already been significant cooperation".

Gabu, Guana, Popó gripped by riots
AP Nkalamenga

The provinces of Gabu, Guana and Popó witnessed scenes of violence last night, as demonstrators responded to a proposed constitutional amendment which would grant Christianity favoured legal status in Cathiopia. Officers from the National Republican Guard have detained scores of protesters believed to be responsible for the criminal damage, while sustaining several injuries themselves, including a number of critically wounded. In a press release this morning, it was confirmed there were some fatalities, as Guardsmen were forced to open fire after an attempted arson attack.

The three provinces, situated on the archipelago between Cathiopia's main island and continental Himyar, are home to Cathiopia's Muslim and Animist communities. Historically independent states free from Cathiopian mainland rule, they were forcibly integrated in the late 19th century. They have been focal points of disputes and unrest ever since.

The amendment is being debated in Cathiopia's Grand Assembly today, with the final vote taking place tomorrow. Political commentators from Cathiopia are confident the amendment will not achieve the two-thirds majority in both chambers necessary to be implemented. And despite the rumours, the ruling Constitution Party has not unveiled an alternative amendment, granting all the Abrahamic faiths constitutional recognition.

Sikandari Government gives go-ahead to industrial expansion
AP Shahdara

Earlier today, the Cerulean Coalition led Government of Chancellor Babur Suleymani secured a major legislative victory, when their proposed scheme for industrial expansion in the country was passed with an overwhelming majority. According to the press documents released by the Parliament of Sikandara, the National Industry Expansion Act 1953 would allow the government to pursue an aggressive industrialisation scheme in the under-developed regions of the country, while pumping funds, mainly through foreign investment, in existing industrial units to boost growth in the secondary sector of the economy. However, there are some misgivings being noted from the political left in Sikandara, which says that the Government's tampering of earlier labour legislation has been a sly move to weaken trade unions, with a consolation being offered to workers with a considerable increase in the minimum wage laws.

The stock markets in Sikandara responded positively, already buoyed by preliminary reports of ambitious plans of the Mezhist Union in the Faroes, regarding a free trade zone. It is rumoured that Sikandari firms could possibly use Faroes based subsidiaries to conduct business with countries which are not politically favoured by Shahdara. But overall economic indicators remain unsatisfying, despite a July report from the Treasury that the Sikandari economy had improved, as Q4 is revealing an economy continually ravaged by regional instability and left standing where it is due to dependence on the success of the mining and oil sector. The Imperial State Bank of Sikandara has said that growth will be unlikely to occur and the stagnation would possibly occur for another year, depending on the situation Vangala and Yujin.

Military Movements in Boganhem Trigger Fears of Military Intervention in the Free Cities' League
AP Malachor and AP Lübeck

The new Bürgermeisternratpräsident (President of the Council of Mayors, i.e., head of government) of the Free Cities' League, an autonomous German enclave within the People's State of Boganhem declared his intentions of declaring the independence of the cities following his electoral promises. Anton Adler, member of the Liberal Democratic Party of the Free Cities' League, publicly dennounced Social-Nationalism as a 'hideous ideology', 'enemy of freedom and human rights', describing it as a 'the son of mezhism and communism, with all that is inherently wrong in those ideologies'.

The reactions from Malachor were dismissive in tone, and not very aggressive. However, sources inside the Bogan Government warn that military movements have started, with tanks and men moving from the North to the South of Boganhem. Many fear that a unilateral declaration of independence by Adler will bring about an invasion over the small territory in the south of the country.

The Bogan government, once again, denied any plans for military intervention, beliving that 'Adler will come to reason' and that 'he cannot break international law like that, scrapping a valid treaty'. Erik Strakman told in a press conference that he hoped that 'the intense cooperation between Boganhem and the Free Cities' League continues'.

The main issue is legal rather than political. The Treaty of Seeshloss, in 1766, saw the Free Cities' League renounce their sovereignty to the 'Bogan sovereign' in exchange for military protection and monopolistic position in Boganhem's outer commercial relations. The question is - what is the 'Bogan sovereign'?
The independentists argue that 'Bogan sovereign' is a reference to the King of Boganhem, considering that, at that time, the Bogan conception of sovereignty made the King inseparable from the State. As such, they argue that, since the fall of the monarchy, there is no more King and the treaty is null and void.
The Bogan government argues that, at the time 'Bogan sovereign' was understood as 'King', but now, sovereignty has been transferred to the 'People', which express themselves through the People's State of Boganhem. As such, the treaty is still valid and can only be revised by agreement of both parties.

Danish Kingdom Ends
AP Sønderborg

With the Danish King dead for months having no real successor, the Danish Kingdom found itself in a situation similar to the Agder Kingdom of a year ago. The turning of tables, perhaps made the solution all the more difficult. The loss of the King subsequently came with a loss of the claim to the Agder Throne. While the loss was felt in Parliament, there was a unanimous feeling amongst its members that the problem the Danes felt could not be solved like the Austwegians did last December.

Secret meetings amongst Parliamentary members began in early October as it became clear that the Germanian Congress would capitulate. While the secret meetings are acknowledged, Parliamentarians refuse to discuss their minutes. The end result is clearly what the discussions led up to and nearly a month and a half later, the Danish Kingdom was declared as extinct.

"We came to the consensus that the practicality of the Kingdom was no longer a possibility," said Prime Minister Viktor Albin Hansen. He continued, "The Kingdom is over. We cannot in good faith import a monarch like we are some trolls from the North. The security and continuity of the will of our people cannot allow for it. Furthermore what more is a Dane? We are concluding a war of aggression by Germans. We must find ways to come together for the good of the state and the people."

With the end of the Kingdom, Prime Minister Hansen stepped down from his position stating that the successive state announcement would follow immediately. Sure enough a second press conference that announced the new system to be in existence immediately followed from the Sønderborg Estate where the new Government would be held.

The newly declared Government would be announced by the new Council President (Konseilspræsident), Jacob Arne Sørensen. The Council President leads the Council of Parliament, which is elected by Parliament to form Government. In turn, election policies don't have to change and the Government composition is the only changing factor. Yet the changes do change power dynamics and the Council President's selection is shrouded in mystery. A secret election within Parliament gave the Danish people "JAS", as he's being called.

Yet, the changes to the top weren't the only things that occurred within the new non-Kingdom. These changes were to change the identity of the new nation from its new home in Sønderborg. Council President J.A. Sørenson announced that more news would come from "the Estates" and subsequently very soon. Most Danish oriented details of foreign concerns have been slow coming, and with a widespread conflict in Faroe developing, the new Government must get to work quickly.

Danish Kingdom to Tyske Socialist Republic
AP Sønderborg

Yesterday's Danish Kingdom is today's Socialist Republic. The Council President J.A. Sørensen addressed several hundred approved journalists with his wife Annika Sørensen to declare the beginning the Socialist Republic of Tyskerige (Tyskeriges Socialistiske Republik). The announcement was an interesting take to a glimpse of the future. Sørensen found himself immensely animated at the proclamation. His speech announced his cabinet and that his Press Secretary Marlene Olsen, would be handling the several queued diplomatic statements required of the Socialist Republic.

The speech he gave seemed judgmental of the developing situation in regards to relations via the widely acclaimed sales of Danish foreign territories. His particularly angry at the Mezhist Union's conduct in relation to their involvement in Danish sales. He quickly blamed the Mezhist's foreign affairs department for the escalating problems at hand and stated that Tyskerige would not accept Mezhist failure.

More importantly, J.A. Sørensen's speech gave way to his instant pardon of Germanian Congressmen that did not have blood on their hands. He urged unity through the vocal criticism of Occidental Republicanism and greed, which is implied moved hand in hand.

The new Socialist Republic while still without an identity seems to have closed the chapter in what was Danish discord and crisis. Today Socialist Republican Militiamen and the Tyskerigean Army roam throughout the nation. Meanwhile cronies of J.A. Sørensen wandered the former capital city of Christiansborg fully armed, while harassing women and among rumors of shooting foreigners, especially of non-caucasian orientation. Most non-white citizens in Tyskerige are from form Tyskerigean colonies such as the Implarian Ocean holdings and Yujin.

The High Kingdom of Ivernia
wishes to state that it is reserved, yet content with the outcome of this Danish Crises. Ivernia supports the decision to pardon members of the Germanian Congress who were guilty of only the desire for proper representation. The High Kingdom hopes that the new government will be one more aligned with the ideals of fairness and equality than the previous Danish Kingdom.

The High Kingdom of Ivernia hopes that the new Tyske Socialist Republic will see eye to eye with Ivernia and her allies with regards to the Faroes Crises. The High Kingdom of Ivernia is interested in meeting with representative of the new government with regards to this, and other issues.

It is the hope of this High Kingdom that our two realms, once close, then divided, can once again forge bonds of friendship. Ivernia hopes to promise to bestow recognition on the first openly elected members of your parliament as the legitimate Government of your land and the Socialist Republic of Tyskerige as the legitimate sovereign nation.

Continental Navy Foreign Liaison Office

Constitutional State of Touzen

The Constitutional State's Continental Navy receives with deep concern the news from the Danish regime. A vision of darkness it pursued, a vision still demanding the lives of thousands of innocents in Boliatur, fighting against a mad Khan instigated by Christiansborg's incessant agitation, and a shadow agenda is once again pursued in the Danish lands. Political figureheads may change, but the underlying pattern of violence against non-white individuals remains.

The Continental Navy declares the days of Danish subjugation to be over. There is no future abroad for the Danish state or its successors, its days of adventures in distant lands at the expense of the colored majority of the globe now a thing of the past. The Danish Implarian islands are hereby declared to be independent of Danish, Tysk or other dominion, their people unchained from desperation and servitude. The Continental Navy has entrusted it upon itself to enforce an Implarian vision that extends beyond the machinations of western lords and resolutely declares a Touyouan future for the people of Touyou. We invite the other than white majority of the Implarian to enact in unison the construction of a New East, a New Implarian and a New World.

The Revolution and the Constitution will set forth towards the Danish Implarian to receive the acceptance of Implarian independence by the former colonial authorities and oversee the self-empowerment of the Implarian people beginning with the now imminent departure of their former masters. We hope for Revolution and Constitution to meet other Touyouan architects of democracy in the Implarian waters.

The National Council of Tyrrhenia and the Council of Ministers receive with those news with concern. We are glad that the affairs of the Germanian Congress have ended with justice being delivered for the ones guilty of homicide and pardoning for the innocents.

We hope that the new Danish government would work more for the sake of its people rather than a clique who wants to have more and more power. We also condemn the killings that are taking place in the country. We hope that the government will do anything possible to stabilize the nation and stop the killings of innocent people.

Signed,
Loukas Lambrakis,

Northern Free Cities Allegedly Occupied by Bogan Forces
AP Lübeck

Despite the unconfirmed source due to a general power outage in southern Boganhem and the Free Cities' League, some reports say the Bogan People's Army (Folksarmee) has advanced towards Grünebaden and Erding, the two land-locked cities in the Free Cities' League, announcing popular referendums and arguing to be there to ensure the 'observance of Treaty provisions'. No more information is available at the moment and the telephone lines are difficult to operate.

Protesters gather outside Fennian embassy
AP Nkalamenga

Protesters condemning the system of racial segregation in New Fennia have gathered in large numbers outside the Fennian Embassy in Nkalamenga, Cathiopia's capital city. The local Associated Press bureau reports several hundred are believed to be in attendance, with a strong presence from the National Republican Guard, Cathiopia's gendarmery. So far the proceedings have been peaceful, with no immediate arrests.

Calls for action began to circulate this morning after news of race riots in New Fennia's colonial capital Pyhä Henrik, in which several ethnic Swana men violated a popular dance hall's all-white policy, which soon led to widespread violence.

The Children of Himyar, a nationalist movement active in Cathiopian politics, is believed to be instrumental behind organising the demonstration. Chairman Bonifacio Bonogo has previously defended violent protest in response to Fennian colonial rule, and advocated for a strong foreign policy line from Cathiopia's government. Leader of the Pan-Himyarist Congress Nagadala Mabiala is known to be present at the demonstration, and in the past caused controversy for openly supporting the murder of white Fennian settlers.

The Cathiopian government today condemned the violence in New Fennia, but also urged reform to the territory's racial segregation laws. When approached regarding the Embassy protest, a government spokesman defended the right to protest, but also promised to ensure the safety of Fennian diplomats, a sensitive issue following the recent massacre in Nokanawa.

The Fennian Ambassador could not be reached for comment.

Death toll rises as Auraria’s Civil War continues
AP Heredia

A week ago from today, Tribune Roberto Urbina officially declared that the provinces of Naranjo, Valle Occidental, and Nueva Catamarca would not recognize the government of Chief Director José Acre and declared a “November Revolution” against him to remove him from power.

Originally seen as a tiny uprising that would easily quelled, the November Revolution is deteriorating into a gridlock filled with bloodshed as two sides battle for power. Public opinion of the war remains sretched and uncertain as news agencies in Auraria have been censored and regulated, as would be typical of a country engulfed by war.

What can be reported is that the west seems more receptive to Urbina than the east, although the fighting is concentrated in the nation’s largest city, Primer, in the Province of Aluche. Being the city where military buildup has persisted for quite some time, it has descended into absolute chaos. The chaotic battle means it is hard to tell who is winning, if anyone. However, securing Primer would ultimately grant whichever side that obtains it, the ability to push forward into Heredia. For this reason, all eyes are on Primer.

Reports of soldiers gathering around the Heredia area are widespread as both rebel and loyalist forces are building up for the inevitable battle for the city. Presently, neither side has the ability to push forward.

In the southeast, loyalist forces are putting together an effort to fight off what is being attributed as guerrilla tactics against the finca system. Though the perpetrators have yet to be named, the Government reports that it is likely communist rebels, as the area has been notorious for it.

Currently, esrimates put the death toll in Auraria at anywhere from 5 to 10 thousand people.

Port Troy, Monkecia -- Life is returning to normal in Monkecia's biggest city, following the rapid and surprise invasion of it by socialist forces led by the country's former Consul, Antonius Ffyllos. The main trading route between the country and the outside world has now spent two weeks under socialist rule and many seemingly have seen an increase in living standards, however small.

As factory and port workers return to work, their pay has been increased significantly, although rapid inflation in the city has resulted, it does seem as though ordinary Monkecians have a better deal. Furthermore, an election for the city's mayoral figure, known as the Tribune, has been promised to be held within two weeks and Ffyllos himself has given a personal guarantee that there will be no candidates barred from entering the election. It is, however, unlikely to be won by anyone else other than Ffyllos' Progressive Socialist Party, for its popularity is at about 85-95%, based on a random poll undertaken by this newspaper yesterday.

Meanwhile the city is run by Chloë Garcia, Monkecia's most prominent female leader. Having run Monkecian City during the war for almost four years, she is clearly capable and intelligent and is known to share both the confidence of the leader's inner circle and yet remains accessible and emotionally connected to the population. One political commentator pointed out however that Miss Garcia's job in Port Troy, a city around five times the size of Monkecia City, will be much harder, and not least because key infrastructure was recently destroyed in the fighting.

At a press conference earlier, Miss Garcia set out her key tasks for the next four weeks. "We will concentrate on returning the city to work, whilst improving the civil nature of the city also. Within a fortnight I shall open the biggest women's centre in Occidentia, to meet the needs of thousands of women, babies and young children trapped in this bloody civil war. I shall ensure schools are reopened and that internationally recognised curricula are taught, instead of the imperialist revisionist clap-trap that has been foisted upon our children. And my third priority will be to oversea free and fair, open, accountable elections which can be nationally and internationally recognised as the cleanest ballot possible. I shall be issuing invitations to civil administrators from Occidentia and democratic friends across the European globe to visit us shortly."

This paper has been banned, along with all other national press operating inside socialist-controlled territory, from commenting or reporting on any military information. However, it is allowable to report that casualties from the recent battle, which mainly lasted just one night, numbered under 1,000 for socialist-linked forces, under 5,000 for nationalist-backed forces, and 154 civilians.

General Sun Daoshi Commits Suicide, Treason
AP Nokanawa

General Sun Daoshi, commander of the Imperial forces which earlier this year initiated an offensive which successfully recaptured large portions of Liangang, a city which had fallen into rebel hands, is reported to have taken his own life earlier today. Sources suggest that the General had made a bid to claim large portions of southern Yujin and secede from the Empire with a personal militia, and when approached by Imperial loyalists, had taken his own life so that he would not be able to name his co-conspirators.

Imperial forces are said to be moving to major cities in the South to ensure the regions security while an investigation into the plot is launched. General Sun Daoshi leaves behind a son, Sun Zhida, aged 17. Forces loyal to Sun Daoshi have been asked to disarm themselves or merge with Imperial New Army forces in Xinhai.

General Sun Daoshi is perhaps best known for his defiance of the Imperial order to burn down Liangang, instead opting for a ground campaign which successfully dislodged Hongmenghui rebels from the majority of the city in September. Though the offensive itself claimed thousands of civilian lives, General Sun Daoshi was praised by some as having bought time for civilians within the city to evacuate. Shortly after his success, Sun Daoshi was relocated to Xinhai in anticipation of a fabled October offensive by Vangalan forces.

Deep Monkton, Monkecia -- CONFUSION reigns at every level of society as the bloody civil war seemingly enters its final phase, and the Engellex-backed capitalist regime of Prime Minister Creedo is very much on the losing side.

It is over six years since Operation Red Horse removed the fledging socialist government from power in Monkecia, which in turn pushed the country into a bitter, bloody civil war. Finally, the socialist group has managed to make substantial gains and with a large amount of popular support in the remaining capitalist-held areas and across the wider country, it is now looking increasingly untenable for Creedo to defeat Ffyllos in warfare. Indeed, recent reports from the front lines report that since Port Troy was captured by socialist forces, show that there is very little actual fighting going on now, and it is simply a matter of Monkecia's many hamlets, villages, towns, and provinces switching sides as they jostle for position and protection. The National Guard, once backed by the one of the strongest regimes in Europe and armed with a vast array of weaponry, is now looking increasingly desperate and fragile, and has suffered from mass mutinies and defections itself.

It is conceivable that with the momentum now very firmly with Ffyllos and his socialist forces, fighting could break out at the outskirts of Deep Monkton within a fortnight. Such a situation would almost certainly see large scale uprisings of working and lower classes in support of the socialists across the city. In both Port Troy and Close'ath, strong trade unions called the workers out on general strike in the run up to socialist advances, a pattern that is likely to be repeated in Deep Monkton.

It is not known what Creedo's intentions are or those of this wider regime. The "king", who was installed four years ago when it looked like Ffyllos' forces were defeated and the war was won, lies critically wounded at a hospital in a secret location. Creedo's whereabouts is not known, with some reporting he has fled to neighbouring Auraria. Key members of the regime haven't been seen in public for days, leading to intense speculation. The city is being governed by what remains of the National Guard, who had closed down every homegrown newspaper. Recent troop movements and announcements indicate that the military are preparing to confront the socialists, at least initially, although it is known there is now "on-going" communication between the de facto controllers of Deep Monkton and Antonius Ffyllos himself.

It is good to see that the Danish crisis has ended. We will continue to evaluate the developments in Danmark to formulate a stance.

We commend Council President Sørensen for the instant pardon of the Germanic Congressmen. However, we strongly condemn the violence against foreigners committed by persons who are apparently aligned to the Council. It is of utmost importance that Council President Sørensen takes action so that he controls his men again.

We also consider it of utmost importance that the people of the Danish Implarian get the opportunity to decide upon their future.
