IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT OF SIKANDARA
GRAND COUNCIL FOR DIPLOMATIC AFFAIRS
PRIVATE CORRESPONDENCE
14. July. 1955 The Imperial Government is saddened beyond belief by the great tragedy which occurred in the Kingdom of Qadim. We have made our stance clear in the public statement issued by this office. However, we believe that in recent years the tensions in the Long Sea region have escalated due to the presence of hostile forces such as communism and piracy are, together, causing great problems in our region. The Imperial Government would like to offer its full support to the Government of Qadim to combat hostile elements in the country. We would invite representatives of the Qadimi government to Shahdara to discuss possibly enhancing the measures needed to ensure the security of the country. As you are well aware, the recent discoveries in the country have allowed great avenues of cooperation to open up between companies on both sides of the Long Sea and it is essential for us to ensure that Sikandari investments in Qadim's future are not for nought. The Imperial Government, further, would like to discuss arrangements between our two intelligence agencies to allow for a better cooperative role between the two to help stabilize the region. We look forward to your response. Mir Rustam Ghaznavi Grand Councillor for Diplomatic Affairs |
