The Rehber's New Wing-Man

The Rehber Serhan Oscelik (left) and Bora Corbaci (right)

Kraliyet, Anakara district

With the sudden passing of former Gilusapolis (secret police) director Hassan Basbug, The Rehber was quick to appoint one of his closest firends and veteran militant Bora Corbaci as the new director of the Gilusapolis. Corbaci has been a successful soldier for most of his life and once held the position as a lieutenant in the Koruma Ajansi (secret agency). Our leader the Rehber has always been keen on Corbaci even before the coup which liberated our glorious nation in 1992.

The Gilusapolis is the second most prestigious organisation in the nation behind the Milliyetci and the first on the list of most important paramilitary organisations. During the lavish ceremony today in the capital of Kraliyet, the Rehber placed the official Gilusapolis crest over corbaci's left breast. The Rehber briedly spoke publically of these events. "The passing of our friend Hassan Basbug was not an easy time for any of us. He was a truly decorated soldier and a genius at work with the Gilusapolis. However, I am confident that director Corbaci will be just as effective, if not more, than our departed fellow Milliyetci." Corbaci, who was overjoyed by his appointment, took to the podium soon after. "I vow to you, my Rehber, and to you the Barazian public, to uphold Milliyetci law and not abuse my position for personal gain, but instead to continue the hunt for those who wish to committ treason and for those who conspire with the traitors. I work for the progression of Barazi."

The Sultanate once again condemns the criminal actions and lack of respect for the Religion of the Prophet (peace be upon him) by the Barazi regime. The people of Barazi have every right to practice their Noble Faith in peace, masha'Allah, and the Barazian government has no right to obstruct them.

Corbaci: Communist Riot "Firmly Dealt With"

The Gilusapolis after the communist riot

Mieszinvek, Fakir district

The economic metropolis city of Mieszinvek did not wake up to the usual sound of motorised vehicles and walking pedestrians early this morning. Instead, Mieszinvekites woke up to the sound of violence as the Gilusapolis clashed with exactly 100 communist rebels.
Gilusapolis director Bora Corbaci, who was only appointed the position yesterday, had his skills as a paramilitary leader put to the test as communists masked with red and waving red flags blocked traffic in the town square near one of the nation's most important and influential treasuries. Though they were not a part of any particular organization, Corbaci ordered the arrest and termination of any communist rebel resisting the Gilusapolis and denouncing the Milliyetci as well as the Rehber himself. "The violence broke out around 6:05am this morning." Confirmed Corbaci, "The ridiculous demands made by these rebels were enough to imprison them in the name of national security. I would like to confirm that the problem has been firmly dealt with."

Rarely do protests and police clashes happen in Barazi, but when they do, the Milliyetci and its paramilitary organizations are always on stand-by - ready to bring order and security back to Barazians. Out of the 100 communist rebels in the streets of Mieszinvek, 23 were executed for the good of the republic on the spot. The remaining 77 were reportedly dealt with by Corbaci and the Gilusapolis in a different location. The Rehber, pleased with the news, had this to say:

"I see my appointment of Corbaci was a positive one. This, my brothers and sisters, this just goes to show you what communism can lead to: hatred, greed and violence. Who knows how many hard-working Barazians may have been harmed by these swine traitors! Think of the future my friends. It's rebel groups like these ones that turn our most innocent, our children, into red-admiring wastes of flesh! It simply won't be tolerated! Not while my blood is still pumping through these veins!"

Let this be an example to all those who wish to poison the minds and livelihoods of Barazians and Europeans alike with ineffective communist tactics.

We strongly condemn the brutality with which the Barazi government treats dissenting voices and can only point out the obious fragility of a nation, that resorts to such extreme measures to prevent its citizens from forming independent thought.

The Rehber announcing his trip to Oikawa

Kraliyet, Anakara district

After much anticipation on hearing about the state of Barazi/Oikawa relations, The Rehber Serhan Oscelik confirmed that he would be meeting the leader of the Oikawan Empire on an undisclosed date this weekend. "In the next coming days I will be travelling to Oikawa with the Foreign Affairs Minister Osman Polati where we will try and see where diplomatic ties as neighbouring countries has gotten us so far."
This comes as a controversial shock to outside nations, especially the ones with Islam as an official and/or dominant religious idea. But the Rehber is convinced that Oikawa and Barazi share similar interests when it comes to the expansion of Islam which is indeed a poison. Osman Polati will be travelling with the Rehber leaving General Ulvi Yilmaz in charge during his absence. But of course, this is still only this weekend.

Detour to Akhaltsikhe

Kraliyet, Anakara district

After it has been confirmed that the Rehber will be leaving for Oikawa this weekend, he has now confirmed that he will be travelling to Akhaltsikhe in the capital city of Tetri Tsqaro due to "prior undisclosed committments". Though the reasons why such a meeting was quickly arranged are uncertain, the Basin was assured that it is strictly diplomatic. Trade agreement deals and intelligence-sharing are the only things confirmed to be on the list of topics for the Rehber, Foreign Minister Osman Polati and Zviad Saakashvili.

It is imperative that agreements and dialogue are made between the Nationalist Republic of Barazi and Životinje at the soonest possible time. The Huszar Administrative Union has regional cohesion in mind, and open channels of communication are now paramount to this administration. The building blocks of lasting peace are being molded here and now with simple diplomatic exchanges, we will not allow Barazi to be denied a place in our blueprint of manufactured prosperity.

I would be exceptionally happy to send one of my most trusted ministers Ulvi Yilmaz to take part in such talks. It is necessary to find peace between our neighbours - especially when there is so much trechery abroad. With that said, Gen. Yilmaz is ready when you will have us.

Summit Wrap-Up

The Rehber's two day trip to Akhaltsikhe in order to attend the Akhaltsikhe-Barazi Summit, has finally concluded after numerous hours of talks on creating economic ties between both nations. The Rehber, who enjoyed an extra day of sight-seeing and scouting historical monuments, embarked on his jet alongside foreign Minister Osman Polati and Hakuvvetler minister Sinasi Denktash.

The summit, as previously stated, was about creating ties between Akhaltsikhe and Barazi - something that should have been dealt with long ago, but was held back due to the previous oppressive leftist regime in our now risen nation. Being the first foreign dignitary to enter the nation's monumental Atrium, he was given a warm welcome overseas. Because of Muslim infestation to the south, the Rehber was quite surprised at how enthusiastic the Akhaltsikhi embraced him. Entering the Atrium, the Rehber did his fist-to-heart salute, which is an official sign within the Milliyetci.
Both economic and foreign ministries will be cooperating on a stong and smart economic agreement which will surely strengthen the once strained relations between Barazi and Akhaltsikhe.

The Rehber has now left the Tetri Tsquaro where from there he will be flying to Yiyuan, the capital of Jizhou. Though the Rehber's agenda for this unexpected visit is still unclear, he has pushed back his date to travel to Nokanawa in the Oikawan mainland.

Inalcik Trials to Begin

Kraliyet, Anakara district

Last month, the Gilusapolis aprehended Atan Inalcik, an eighteen year old Khazar from Tepe in the district of Berrak. Inalcik was spotted in the streets trying to rally support to tear down what he called it to be "Milliyetci propaganda." Gilusapolis director Bora Corbaci had confirmed that Inalcik was under the influence of alcohol and presciption drugs. These allegations have been wildly denied by Incalik. Though he has admitted to tearing posters and disrupting the Milliyetci, he has also claimed that noone was following him making his efforts futile and therefore, not really a "big deal".

With the trial date set to begin tomorrow, Inalcik will be facing a tribunal with consequences more dire than he had imagined. Atan is being charged with Public Display of Radical Anti-Government Behavior which according to the Rehber's laws is punishable by life-imprisonment or forced labour. He's also being charged for Public Intoxication, which is quite minor compared to what may be facing him ahead. Only the tribunal can decide what the future holds for Atan Inalcik.

Almak Meeting

Almak, Uyutmak district

With waving flags of Barazi red and a cheerful sunny day to top it off, it was no question that Denkuvvetler (naval forces) minister Yuksel Ozdem would be warmly greeted by the sea-side city residents once arriving at the Almak ve Deniz Üssü (Almak Naval Base). Ozdem was greeted by Uyutmaki governor Piyale Yorulmaz who saluted the minister before shaking his hand.

The meeting in question was about the boost of funding towards the Barazian Denkuvvetler by the Milliyetci government. The Almak Naval Base, being one of the largest coastal Barazian bases, would see a surge in equipment and Denkuvvetler Vessels as well as battle ships. "The security of Barazians towards the south has always been one of the Rehber's main concerns - especially with the presence of a communist state towards the south. Protection is very necessary in case of unexpected red insurgencies." The minister Ozdem had to say on the issue. Governor Yorulmaz, who's district budget has also found a portion to give to the base, has expressed similar sentiments towards this development.

Blue Union Invades Barazi

Waking up this morning to a sudden and unexpected insurgency to the northwest of Barazi, acting Rehber Ulvi Yilmak has sent for the immediate mobilization of ground forces as well as Koruma task forces. Violent outcires for the removal of the invading foreigners resonated in key cities as the people took to the streets, this time, with no government intervention.

"Nowhere in the Milliyetci agenda did we have a plan to construct nuclear weapons. We are certainly not rallying any rightist states to do our biding. there has never been any proof of any sort of wrong doing by the Rehber behind Barazian lines. we will retaliate - hard if we have to. All 6,000 air defense guns have been activated and various units of over 400 tanks and artillery accompanied by ground forces. the airforce will make sweeps across the rural border to clear any insurgency coming northward. Barazians do not want them here, and the Milliyetci certainly does not want them here." - Ulvi Yilmaz

The Rehber is set to cancel his trip to Jizhou to return to the fatherland to take matters back into his own hands. He has already strongly condemned the flase accusations made towards he and his government with no proof to back them.

Europe has grown tired of the Barazi acid spewing talking head. A checkered face with the pustules of deceit and hatred screaming when humanity needs silence, scheming when humanity needs cohesion, and fighting when humanity needs peace. The Blue Union Captaincy of Životinje is in the process of a long overdue liberation, that the free world has been yearning for from Barazi for over a decade.

Though we are not a part of the Council of Nations, we urge that they investigate the reasons to justify the invasion of Barazi, a nation where not a single Barazians has ever harmed a Ziv. Right now, we have 1.18 million armed personnel in the Barazian army. we ahve not yet deployed them all, though it seems we may have to come close. They are well trained and ready to defend their land where the people are finally happy after years of rebuilding. The Rehber is not going anywhere.

Savaşamanı Act Introduced

With the cooperation of the Koruma Ajansi, Gilusapolis director Bora Corbaci - with the cooperation of the Milliyetci government - passed his long awaited Savaşamanı (War Time) Act. Due to the recent violent outbreak to the northwest of Barazi, the Rehber says that this could not have come at a better time. "We have to think quick and effective in times like these. Any measures taken to rid ourselves of these unprovoked invaders are very necessary."

The Savaşamanı Act was an idea composed by the military, Gilusapolis and Koruma to have deliberate freedom to enter Turkmen, Orghuz and Khazar reservations in Barazi to scout for possible traitors to the fatherland. "It's not a matter of killing them or anything of the sort." Corbaci commented, "We just want the Rehber to give us permission to enter these communitites to see if any wrong-doing is being made or if any communication is coming in from the northwest. It's a matter of national security."
Corbaci has already begun arranging his squads to enter the reservations, peacefully, and only resort to violence if absolutely necessary. Terrorist activity coming from Životinje in these communities is the main objective to seek and capture.

The Kingdom of Belmont see the brutalities of the Barazi regime. We see the hate speech spread by organs of the government. We see the autocratic measures being brought by the government. The current war engulfing this nation is a war of the making of its own leadership.

As of the 1st of May 2010, The Kingdom of Belmont shall enforce a series of harsh economic embargoes upon the Barazi regime, the details of which shall be announced on the 1st of May. This situation need not happen if the Barazi regime reconsiders its options.

Report on the Blue Invasion

The Rehber greeting citizens at today's press conference

Kraliyet, Anakara district

Today the Rehber emerged in public from the confines of the Birlikmeclisi in Kraliyet with a smile on his face as he was set to make a progress report on the invasion along with General Ulvi Yilmaz and Foreign Minister Osman Polati. The crowd was very boastful and cheerful as the trio made their public display of unity in Barazi through difficult times. General Yilmaz had confirmed that though the battles in the northwest were getting hectic at times, that Barazian Milliyetci are doing their best to press off the insurgents so far. It was with air force cooperation that the mission has been moving along “swimmingly” as the General put it.

But the headline now making waves in Kraliyet are the “harsh economic embargoes” that the Kingdom of Belmont has implemented on the 1st of May 2010. After the Savaşamanı Act was introduced yesterday giving the Gilusapolis and Koruma more power over suspected terrorists, Belmont has set a firm stance against the Rehber and Barazi.
“This does not come to me as a surprise.” commented Foreign Minister Polati. “It would not be the first time that a nation has placed such sanctions against us. They just simply do not understand our ways here and it makes them nervous.” The Foreign Minister realises what these sanctions may cause, but he remains optimistic that Barazi also has friends in high places. “I wouldn’t put any emphasis on it. But we certainly won’t stand down on protecting our people. Our actions of defending ourselves are justifiable.”

The Rehber clapped gladly as his ministers made their announcements to the public. He then took to the podium and the associated press saying that Barazi will survive this ordeal. He also made another announcement from the part of eastern allies in Jizhou. “Premier Li of Jizhou, with the knowledge of their President, has agreed to make a legal and fair arms deal between our two nations not only for defence support, but for economic purposes.” It is still unknown if the Rehber has agreed to sell any Barazi-manufactured weapons to Jizhou.

Placing a Hero to Rest

Commander Sinasi Denktash (center) with top aviation officers in 2009

Kraliyet, Anakara District

What was but simple speculation has now been confirmed when the Milliyetci announced the sudden passing of high-ranking Milliyetci and Hakkuvvetler commander Sinasi Denktash this morning - the morning of the state funeral. The government has done its best to keep the passing of Denktash quiet to not attract attention to Kraliyet in a time of conflict. In reality, Denktash died of a cardiac arrest saturday evening. With a cease-fire now in effect, the Rehber has given the OK to go ahead with the funeral procession alongside Denktash's widow Lorena.

Sinasi Denktash was a decorated soldier, respected commander and clever strategist. His participation in the takeover of Barazi in 1992 lead to his installment as fourth in line to the title of Rehber. But with this sudden tragedy striking the Milliyetci, that will sadly not be the case. However, with all of his military accomplishments under his belt and a big family to carry his name, Denktash will be remembered as no less of a hero and one of Barazi's liberators.
The state funeral procession was held today in the Birlikmeclisi in Kraliyet around 12:00 EST. Nearly 50,000 people, including those who stood by him during the coup: Serhan Oscelik, Yuksel Ozdem, Ulvi Yilmaz attended to support and mourn with Lorena Denktash as she said her last goodbyes.

A Tense Stalemate

Silahfilosu forces clearing a path for refugees

Sevinmek, Kuzey District

The cease-fire ordered by Ziv and Barazian officials is still in effect as rumoured peace talks are being conducted by delegates representing Barazi, Životinje and Akhaltsikhe. The western front of Sevinmek has relatively become a ghost town as the only people remaining are those in military attire and those who simply refuse to leave. The rest of Sevinmek as well as other surrounding communities have seen a surge in refugees coming from the warzone escorted by reserve froces. Guzellik's north has suffered the same curse as well as other townships invaded by the Blue Union.

The stalemate has given the troops a chance to prepare for a possible attack from the other side during the standoff if the peace summit goes sour. Now almost face-to-face, Barazian and Ziv forces now have one of the most daunting tasks known to the military: waiting. "We will remain in our positions until this conflict is rectified." says Yapistirmak governor Eyup Taskopruluzade. Public protests against the Ziv invasion continue across the unoccupied border - taking full advantage of being heard when there is only silence. The Milliyetci has provided housing, food and other necessities for Barazian refugees who have temporarily evacuated the warzones.

Gov't to Cut Subsidized Fuel

A gasoline deposit in Sadikoy, Berrak

Sadikoy, Berrak District

The Rehber announced last month that an economic reform plan would be implemented in the second half of the Barazian calendar, which ends in March of 2011. Finance Minister Ferrid Bayram said on sunday that a gasoline rationing program would begin along with the reform project.
"After the implementation of the subsidy plan, gasoline will be sold at free market prices," he noted.

Under the gasoline rationing plan introduced, drivers could buy 60 liters of subsidized fuel per month for 1,000 bazafons (B$). The Milliyetci under Serhan Oscelik plans to phase out subsidies over five years and compensate those in need with direct cash payments. Minister Bayram says that cuts would make Barazi less dependent on gasoline imports - especially in these times where economic sanctions from Belmont and Životinje threaten Barazi.

The following issue of the Basin was written and edited in liberated-Sevinmek with joint cooperation from the Guzellik area. With the go-ahead of peoples of Barazi and the Imam Ruslan Shanazar, we the Barazians can finally have a free opinion on the current adherent situation in our nation. – Message from the editor

Shanazar to The Rehber: “Your time is coming”

English transcript

GUZELLIK, Yapistirmak – Witle the troops from the north continue to pour down into Barazi, it has become clear to those of the liberated lands of Barazi that they no longer have anything to fear. This was the message that the controversial Imam of Ilkriyet Ruslan Shanazar passed on today when he and a crowd of devout Muslim-Barazians took to the streets of Guzellik. The goal, as Shanazar put it, was to tell The Rehber, Serhan Oscelik “Your time is coming.”
Thousands of people of the founding tribes of Barazi (Baraturks, Baraturkmen, Baraghuz and the small Barakhazars) came together behind the Imam to protest the injustices that they claim is still very current in our modern Barazian society. Shanazar was able to bring up literally dozens of incidents that he himself has had with The Rehber’s intimidating paramilitary force, the Gilusapolis lead by Bora Corbaci. One of them included being brought to the mountains of Yapistirmak and being savagely beaten and what was thought, left for dead. Another woman protester who demanded to remain anonymous had this to say: “I myself am a mother of seven children.” She confided, “I have buried four of them because of the constant violence and manhunt towards us.”

With the Rehber’s war going south, Akhaltsikhe’s troops being pulled out by an awakened Executor and reported unrest within the Milliyetci Party; one can only wonder what the Rehber will do next. Some of the Baraturk ethnic group, which is the predominant majority populace in Barazi, who were never targeted by the Milliyetci unless they were civil disturbances, have been reported seen migrating northward to the liberated lands. “At this point, I will risk my life.” One man told us carrying one bag and a stick, “I would rather face being blown by the Zivs and Sarmatians then stay down there.” Every story has another side however. In the heavy-Milliyetci south, thousands of Neo-Milliyetci supporters took to the streets in their turn to be heard. Red flags with the ram’s horn symbol dabbed in the middle waved and cries from the streets of cities like Almak, Kraliyet, Silsilesi, Sadikoy and Oscelisehir – which was renamed in honour the Rehber – resonated the south. Pictures of key Milliyetci figures such as Oscelik, Ulvi Yilmaz and Osman Polati were held up in a shrine where the crowd proceeded by chanting Sadik bir Milletand performing the Milliyetci salute. The manifestations were mostly directed to the declaration of war from Greater Sarmatia and of course, the first invaders of the Blue Union.

With time and effort being the only factors at play for the liberation of Barazi – forceful, appreciated and voluntary effort from the Zivs and a peaceful direction plan for the nation from the Imam – the Rehber certainly has some decisions to make; or some explaining to do.

State in Distress

KRALIYET -- With Ziv forces swiftly on the move in Kraliyet both on foot and in the skies, the capital city of the once united nation is now is utter chaos with looting and murder quickly on the rise. The Union Army has been cooperating relatively well with the populace and others not so well as the breaking-up of looters didn't go so well. Some feel that the "foreigners" have no authorization over them, while others look to the Zivs for safety reasons.
The Imam Shanazar has called for all people in distress to stop the violence and look to what they have the privilege to rebuild. "What has happened here today is nothing short of a miracle. But we, as a now-liberated people, must join together - Muslim or not - in peace so we can build our nation into something better. Barazi is a beautiful nation with much potential. But it must be left into the hands of the people because it is the people who built this nation in the first place."

The Milliyetci is reported to be in complete disaray as the Rehber, Serhan Oscelik, is nowhere to be found. It is unclear if The Rehber is still in Kraliyet or not; as well as the fact that nobody knows what mode of transportation was used for his evacuation. Other high-profile Milliyetci have gone missing - Yuksel Ozdem, the Denkuvvetler's Grand Admiral has fled the country as told to us by inside officials who have abandonned their positions under the Milliyetci banner. "Oh yeah, Ozdem is out of here." An anonymous insider remarked. And on a chilling note, Ulvi Yilmaz, the Defense Minister and Silahfilosu Commander was found dead in his Kraliyet home this morning. He committed suicide by headshot. Peering at the totem pole, this would leave Osman Polati, the Minister who failed in the peace summit in charge. Now all Ziv forces, with the help of cooperative Barazian soldiers have to find the Rehber so he and all surviving Milliyetci can stand trial for the attrocities committed behind closed borders. With some Milliyetci influence amongst most Kraliyet citizens, the Imam is certain that they will find peace with the new Barazi that they too may help create.
