As follows are a listing of some popular [or long-lasting] publications from within the Boreasic Continental Republic and its territories. We will be updating this publication listing [this post] incrementally with updated information and also with publications which are popular within Specific Regions.

[ooc; I have yet to design a publication or two for Kayah Tanah; or one for Bally Brenden yet- though those will come in time. Thank you for reading.

[The] Duncrk Wilyr- Originating from Duncrk within Dvery state, the Duncrk Wilyr [Literally: Ranger/Courier of Dun-Carrick], the Wilyr is the foremost publication within the western portion of the continuous Boreasic Continental Republic. Known for its sometimes rightest and rural-ist take on politics, it has a strong following in Dvery, Kilkerry, and Western Warre and was the third to begin publishing English editions of its publication.

It's editor has been known to spout almost racial rhetoric about Celtic [specifically An Lyric] supremacy, and has been imprisoned no less than seven times by the State Police within Dvery over attempts to commit 'ancestry crimes' upon germanic descended Boreasic peoples.

Lumina's Lantern- The Capital of the Continental Republic's favorite newspaper [and its current longest standing]; Lumina's Lantern is known to be the most moderate and fair-balanced within the nation on issues outside the nation- and is rumored to have the largest subscribers list internationally. It is known for keeping track of those currently considered for being awarded citizenship for outstanding service. While it has a weak following outside of Lumina itself, Kilkerry, and [Possible Coro State] also have strong followings, and it is the strongest mainland written newspaper within BallyBrenden and Kayah Tanah.

UiRyan's Voice- A paper published by the UiRyan Clan, this paper originates out of Stormmaigh [Stormhold] within Rygard- and is the paper most viewed as biased within the nation; though it has the courage to say what others might not. Previously called 'The Hound's Howl' by the UiRyan Clan's Bearhound Corporation; it was rebranded after the corporation was called out for using it as a 'tool for the UiRyan clann and nothing but.'

The Warre Guardsman- The paper with the highest domestic distribution within Warre and the-whole of continuous Boreasic Continental Republic, the Guardsman also is the rival for Lumina's Lantern's followers within Kayah Tanah and BallyBrenden. The Warre Guardsman is known to have a slightly right leaning militarily- left leaning economically and domestically viewed grouping of writers and editors, but tends to moderate other views.

Kolea Asdha- The Sentinel is the premier newspaper of Kol Thasaidh, enjoying the greatest subscription rates of printed news in the entirety of the country. It is known to generally take a moderate stance on most issues, generally acknowledged as being a staunchly populist and pro-government publication.

Golea Skalhjaradh- The Golea Courier is the oldest newspaper still published within Kol Thasaidh. It traces its origins back to the 19th century, serving as the sole medium for government publications until the establishment of several more printing houses as the century advanced. It remains to this day a powerful force in both the newspaper and media industry as a whole, and is known to take an authoritarian and definitely pro-military stance.

A Havok! Comics Review

Continuing its path to be at the Forefront of the Comic Book, Graphic Novel, and Web-comic industry- the folks at Havok! Comics have decided to expand their internationally focused books, and not simply expanding them by expanding the avenues which they have been selling them- the Havok! Comics media department has recently released to the dutiful press [reviewers like myself], what seems to be plans for an entire new line of comics, the Havok! UNIverse, which will shockingly feature a continuing world between comic book series- but also create a whole new paradigm within the traditional Havok! storytelling procedures.

The 'SUPER!' length issue #00 [At a whopping 10 times the size of normal Havok! comics] has already been released to the press, and will be hitting news stands, convenience stores, hobby stores, grocery stores, and online distributors within the week's end, and the storytelling so far has been excellent. Daring to mention, mimic, and sometimes parody current events, the series and the entire setting seems to have promise.

Returning to the setting are some of my personal favorites, such as the classic Engellexic hero 'The Enigma'; the much loved Warreic [and indeed Boreasic as a whole] hero, 'The Mahogany Hound'; and even the Cannie lass from the close to discontinued series 'Lady Liberty'; even the mostly unknown Kayathna heroine 'Belalang' (The Grasshopper) has made a return- but there's plenty of new heroes as well- such as the Engellexic Air Marshall 'Sam Horizon'; and plenty of interesting new villains.

A paradigm I've also noticed within this new UNIverse is that Havok! has went out of its way to make a multinational list of heroes, and in particular has tried to make a hero or heroine to represent every nation; and to recognize current events- for instance the stories of The Enigma! And Sam Horizon, Air Marshall; they both take place under the backdrop of the Monteli-Engellexic War currently underway- and share some of the same villains, such as the Montelimarian group known as 'The Order of the Rooster', a league of assassins, warriors, and villains from throughout Montelimar and it's former Empire.

It was barely a cameo as of yet, but it seemed for a moment that I saw one of the Crimson Torch rings upon a Caretanian soldier within Solaren who saved a group of civilians from a marauding beast commanded by one of the Solaren Catholic church characters referenced during that chapter. While I love the storytelling; there are some very risque moments- even legally risky ones such as referencing the Crimson Torch like that, homage or not.

For more information about the current plans, check out

Local News Page #1

Lumina, Lumina Capital District, Boreas Continental Union-

We now stand at the third day of protests- which began exceedingly lightly involving the approach of the union holiday of Unification Day. Parallel protests have sprouted up in Stormmaigh, Rygard; and the Lumina Capital District. Those protesting were originally thought to be Rygardic separatists who chose to protest on Unification day rather than the day the former 'Rygardic Kingdom' called Thul's day.

While the protests could be watched by police if the former was true, the fact is, they seem to be protesting Unification day on this the thirtieth anniversary of Kayah Tanah's accession into the Union as a state. Some protesters have been known to be calling out that Kayah Tanah doesn't deserve a place within the union- citing that Kayah Tanah is neither ethnically nor geographically a Boreasic territory, and thereby should not be afforded the -rights- of one; but from the views expressed and the fact that none of the Protesters seemed to have problems with the half-Kayathna reporter who was on duty [me]; this issue doesn't seem to be as simple as that.

Within the Capital District they have the right of unlimited timespan protest, so long as it does not move into a through-fare and does not interfere with average civilian traffic, but reports are that the Rygard legislature have told them to vacate Stormmaigh's streets by the seventh day or face punishment.
