The Ionian government demands an explanation on the unjustified arrest of the 5 Ionian citizens. According to information we received from their family and friends the Ionians were in fact tourists and members of the KKI on their way to Kastoria to show their children the "miracle of true Socialism at work". The Ionian government has taken every step to ensure friendly relations with Tyrrhenia yet Kastoria seems to undermine those efforts at every chance. We hereby accuse Tyrrhenia of arresting them deliberately one day before the SOKI trials so as to pressure us to hand over the accused PMs and members of SOKI without a trial or after a possible conviction. Tyrrhenia is clearly a rogue state and we demand the unconditional hand over of all arrested Ionians. We also call for cooperation with the Empire of Sikandara to end the illegal detention of our citizens at the hands of the Tyrrhenian menace.

We find it laughable to say that simple citizens, tourists, even communist party members were the ones that were arrested in Tyrrhenia. The Astynomia has searched the apartment from where the group of Ionians emerged prior to their arrest and we have found from there a series of conspiratorial homes. We can't believe that simple tourists have such an infrastructure set up, simply to show their children the "wonders of socialism". Membership in a party can be an easy thing to get, but if they were real communists they wouldn't have been in Tyrrhenia spying for their capitalist masters.

Regarding the SOKI trial, it was a complete coincidence that the day of the arrest was the also the last day of their trials. Though, we now understand more than even how grave the Ionian machinations can get, as the commission sent by Kastoria noted in its reports that most of the evidences were fabricated against them and this whole trial is just a farce to show the communists as the wrongdoers, while in the meantime, your leader, who uses the abusive title Ethnarch just used the wish of the Ionian people to get rid of the monarchy just to take power for himself. We declare that the SOKI trial is a political one and the MPs that were condemned are political victims of an oppressive system, surviving because of the lies it feeds the Ionian people for entire generations.

To, The Government of Tyrrhenia, The Imperial Government requests details of the two Sikandari individuals in detention by your government and seeks data to help us ascertain whether these two individuals have any connection with any activity of the Imperial Security and Intelligence Service or any other branch of the official apparatus of the Sikandari Empire. At this point, we cannot confirm, nor deny whether these are even indeed Sikandari nationals. We would officially request permission for diplomatic personnel from our embassy to be granted access to the two individuals thought to be Sikandari. As a member of the international community, Tyrrhenia has a moral responsibility to grant the Imperial Government access to the individuals for us to conclusively determine if we have jurisdiction over them. The Ionian Government requests personal data concerning the two persons which have been arrested. ΓΑΝ, ΕΥΠ and ΓΑΣΑΕ currently have no active Intelligence Operations in Tyrrhenia. Also Ionian law demands that all persons who are part of the Ionian Secret Services are Ionian Nationals. However our records show that these persons were not Ionian Nationals but were immigrants from the Mezhist union that had received citizenship. Additionally the persons you arrested are not who you think they are. You see the persons whom you claim to have arrested are currently in Salonika, Algolis normally living their lives. Apparently you arrested non-Ionians who had stolen the passports and Identification Documents of Ionian citizens. This is reinforced by the fact that the IDs and Passports of these persons were recently reported to have been stolen to the Federal Ionian Astynomia. We once again state our request for the data of the arrested persons to discover who they really are and also request the return of the stolen IDs and Travel Documents.

We understand that there may also be some errors taking place, but also some even worse kind of blunders. We will like to have the People's Astynomia of Tyrrhenia and the Federal Astynomia of Ionia work together to be sure that the identities of the arreted persons were stolen by fascist agent provocateurs, as it may be an operation of the mezhists to make Tyrrhenia and Ionia start a war, which which only the extreme right wingers can take advantage of. Because of this, we will like to have a joint investigation, in which we open access to both our and your files related to this case and bring the terrorists to justice.

We understand the concerns of the Empire of Sikandara, but even if acting for one of your agencies or not, the men are still accused of espionage. We understand that certain circumstances may have influenced them, making them fight against Tyrrhenia's sovereignty, we would like to have less incidents like this happening. Considering the forgiving nature of choices that need to be taken to normalize our relations after this incident, we propose a mutual agreement. We will release the two captives if the Empire of Sikandara also accepts the release of two jailed members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and they will have a safe trip to Tyrrhenia. The same treatment being applied to the Tyrrhenian prisoners.

The prisoners will be brought to the Interational Airport of Kastoria "Agapios Iordanos" under the guard of the People's Astynomia and the YKA, where a Sikandaran plane will wait for them. We expect the same treatment to be given to the Sikandaran prisoners, so that all our men can return to safety.
