I am a bit of a loss of where on the map would be the best place to set up a black, African-style basket case piece of jungle

I'd figure to the south-west of Wazi, with access to the sea, would be nice.

Something like X marks the spot.

I'll put the names of the cities later on. Capital stays in Dagoville, I just need to figure out where I want it on the map exactly.

I guess there won't be a South Pole if that is going to be jungle.

The idea was to consider climate when picking a map spot, but it looks like the poles are not going to be a factor.

Hey I have an idea for a possible compromise between the two of you if you both want to hear it?

I want to completely retract the claims I put out earlier, and instead request a larger stretch along the edge of our southern maps. If I am approved here I promise not to put it to waste with B.S. Old UDO was internally focused, yet I think I was a flexible and fair player externally and I will play as such with a generous territory.

One has to consider that these territories are a hard sell to begin with, located next to older players like Q, Wazi, Taley, Free Cities, and Kediri has been around lurking for a long while. Not to mention it has no coastal access point, but these reasons are why it is most appealing to me as a challenge for me. I want Uroduah to be bigger and better then old UDO in all ways.

Don't worry, you can always bribe the Dagomban military to give you port access. *nodnod*

Maybe we should just agree to have the south border of the map be warm, and allow it possibly as room for potential map expansions in the future, similar to how this happened in original NSeurope maps, which gradually expanded as the forum got more active.

He is right, the Southern edge should just be a great desert with Camels and Tree Climbing Goats, instead of a Icee parade.

Just as a note, that was deemed acceptable by myself (& I think Tale too) We were all working towards creating some sort of compromise to make all of us happy, and I think we have that with that map UDO has displayed of Austurs.

Well, I'd prefer a more DRC style Dagomba than a Mali or Tchad one. But having a mix of both rainforests and deserts can be fun.

It better be, unless you want the Camel Cavalry setting burning down Dagomba for sport. THE SEA OF FIRE SPREADS INFINITELY ACROSS SOUTHERN EUROPE.

Nooooooooooooo!

If we do something silly like that a scale will be forever impossible. People should find better spots.

Like erm where? In fact I hold my breath for the future IF there is a influx of new players. Where would they go? Would people be willing to make room for them?

I'm not holding my breath on a new player influx.

But if we absolutely had to expand somewhere east-west would be much better.

Meh, I don't think we should nitpick to much about the dimensions of the map. Let's not forget that we have managed with a square map for quite some years. I don't think that within a week into the roleplay we have 20 map applications, but it's not unlikely that there would be a couple and if we get 3 or 4 new people the map is simply full. I will gladly admit that the mistake is all mine, that I have underestimated the amount of people coming to this roleplay and the size of the claims, but I think it's better to have some map changes now, before roleplay begins, then when roleplay is ongoing.
