Following domestic success as a top rated Cantigian program, Culinary Hero goes global this winter with a reality cooking competition program that seeks the best chefs Europe has to offer.

Each week chefs from around the globe compete to create their best rendition of a different nation's signature meal, whether they are familiar with the foreign specialty or not.

Competitors are judged by Cantigian or foreign chefs & celebrities, and scored in three categories:

Taste / Quality
Presentation
Improvisation

OOC: To participate you provide 1 signature meal from your nation, 1 name of contestant chef, and 1-2 chef judges or celebrity judges. For example:

Scoring will be done by dice, so randomly because I'm not sure how else to do it (no one probably wants to RP a lengthy cooking recipe, lol). One roll for Taste, one roll for presentation, and one roll for improvisation. Chefs who are lucky to be cooking their native signature meal get an additional roll for that week's show.

An ideal number of contestants would be 8, which I will not get, so I may fill in some NPCs (perhaps handicapped).

(varied tapas dish for an appetizer to include: Las Bombas - a hearty meatball, encased in mashed potatoes, covered in batter, and deep fried. Calamares - small rings of fried squid. Aceitunas - olives stuffed with bell peppers. Chorizo al vino - spiced sausage cooked in red wine.)
Paella - a rice dish that includes white rice, green beans, assorted vegetables, and duck.
Churros - for dessert, churros are strings of fried dough covered in cinnamon sugar. Melted chocolate, dulce de leche, and caramel will be provided for dipping.

Signature Dish:

Hamloaf: is a baked meat dish, similar to meatloaf, made of ground ham and ground pork and combined with other ingredients to form a loaf like shape. Distinct in color and taste from meatloaf, hamloaf is often baked with a sweet glaze, often consisting of brown sugar, molasses, pineapples, or cherries. Often served with boiled potatoes and a vegetable like green beans or steamed carrots, representative of the simple foods often favored across the Central Sylvania.

Chicken and Waffles: Chicken over waffles. Either served in variations fried with syrup and butter or as a more common stewed chicken breast with a gravy.


Apple Dumpling is a pastry filled with apple, cinnamon and occasionally raisins. Apples are peeled and cored, placed on a portion of dough, then filled with cinnamon, butter and sugar. Then the dough is folded over the apples and the dumplings are baked until tender. Served with vanilla ice cream.

Judges: Alfonse MacCarthy (Celebrity Chef, Winner of Commander in Chef Season 1), Lizet Reyes (Actress, Singer)

*Can be made from whatever is around but traditionally requires some sort of red meat, water, root vegetables, cabbage and or carrots, and some sort of grain. Traditoonal recipes almost always include water, beef, potatoes, carrots, flour, and a cooking wine but popular modern recipes now almost always include some sort of wheat noodles and a thinner broth. It typically requires days or at least 12 hours of stewing to be done "right", and often features bones and other less desirable pieces of the cow, deer, etc to help make the broth.

CHALLENGE 1: the Fàlthakshadom of Shaeoiumlah

"From the frozen reaches of the Northern Cooperative Union to the sweltering Savannah of Natal, Chefs from around the world are converging on Metropolitan Vesper to pass the most daunting gauntlet of international cuisine and determine who is Europe's Culinary Hero!

I am your host and permanent judge Neil Floyd, and each week I will be joined by two foreign judges, consisting of the world's finest chefs and media personalities. This week I am joined by actress Roberta Anaya of the Aurarian Republic, and Alfonse MacCarthy from the High Kingdom of Warre. Chef Renditions of this signature meal from Shaeoiumlah will be judged by three categories: Taste, Presentation, and Improvisation. With a possible 18 points each week, their scores carry over to each challenge culminating in a final determining score.

Starting with the Fàlthakshadom of Shaeoiumlah, this is perhaps most befitting challenge to start the gauntlet. Kôshûr, Kûku, Shôlethard! Kôshûr, Kûku, Shôlethard! Kôshûr, Kûku, Shôlethard! I encourage all of our domestic and international viewers to say that three times fast! Apologies to our Shaeoiumlahn viewers for this humble chef's butchering of your language.
