Excerpt from weekly press briefing of the Reserve Bank of Nedernesia
'Yes, moving towards electronic payment methods is a step in the right direction as it ensures taxes are collected and helps combat the scourge of money laundering, however we maintain that there is and always will be a place for hard currency - cash - in the economy. It is not our place to make policy for other central banks, but we view the West Engellachian plan to retire hard currency with a modest amount of concern and if this plan does indeed go through, we will be closely monitoring its effect on the local economy and figures. Thanks for your questions and see you next week!'
-Chancellor of the Reserve Bank of Nedernesia, Madam Helen Schlikkers
