There's no need for an invasion and the death of more innocents, both French and Anglo-Saxon. Both Great Engellex and Liege are of the Catholic faith, can we not act like good Christians? I believe that before anyone acts hastily, Liege and Great Engellex should sit down and figure this out without military involvement. It's obvious that many countries saw that what happened to the people of Liege was tragedy, I believe that this invasion could easily escalate into something bigger. So I call for peace talks, is there anyway that the government of Great Engellex would agree to that?

Sir Anthony Pelham-Holles continues to have his messages confused and distorted to encourage more war in the region of Galla and drag Engellex into further war in a region that only recently received an armistice. Sir Pelham-Holles disregards the massacre of thousands of Frenchmen at the hands of the Hughes regime in the "Bloody Verdict of Verdun" and condemns the French populace for rising up against the oppression of Alfred Hughes.

Sir Pelham-Holles should also be reminded that the empire supported the Engellexic moves into Montelimar as well came to its aid when it was attacked by the bloodthirsty Altaic regime.

His Majesty's Government has been carefully reviewing the troubling events in Liege as they have unfolded following the national election results. It is most unfortunate that an already destabilizing event, the unexpected outcome of a highly contentious and charged election, should have so quickly and so tragically escalated past the levels tolerable in a modern democratic nation. The presence of wrongdoing is undeniable, what is not so obvious is what parties and individuals are deserving of punishment for willfully committing themselves and others to violent, repressive, and illegal courses of action and which are those that may have had to make difficult but rightful decisions in the midst of the chaos and the fundamental breakdown of democratic institutions.

It is clear that the responsibility of the neighbors of Liege to that troubled country's people is the assurance that a return to stability and lawful rule is facilitated with all possible speed. To that end we give our full support and backing to the calls by Her Imperial and Royal Majesty Charlotte's Government for the establishment of an international commission to be formed for the purpose of discerning the circumstances of the violence following the election so that appropriate action may be taken in the restoration of justice. Individuals, including former cabinet members, should be immediately released from their unlawful detainment until the conclusion of this commission's activities at which time, if it is found to be proper, they may be formally charged and tried in accordance with the law and the expectations of the behavior of a free and democratic society.

Furthermore, it is the opinion of His Majesty's Government that an international observer force be formed and dispatched for the purpose of overseeing an election at the earliest possible date to replace the interim government and military rule with a legitimate civilian authority.

Sincerely,
Rt. Hon. Matthew Steel MP

I would like to caution Breotonia and Great Engellex with their policies towards Liege, we all saw what happened with the last Anglo-saxons that occupied the nation of Liege, we in Corsica do not want to see a repeat. His Most Catholic Majesty would like to urge you to listen to Cardinal Rousseau and talk to the interim government of Liege before you try anything.

His Majesty's Government thought it implicit that, barring extraordinary circumstances, these efforts would be made in coordination with the interim government. It should further be noted that a multinational group of election overseers is hardly an occupation.

The Grand Duchy has for the past few weeks been concerned with the events unfolding in Liege, with the deaths on both sides and the political chaos that unfolded. We understand the frustration and anger stemming from the Engellexic government. However, before war erupts after another peace has been signed, we would suggest an international team go to observe and inform the international community of the situation on the ground. Potenza would be willing to host such a team with other member representatives.

"The former Northern Secretary, Sir Anthony Pelham-Holles, sitting within the Commons Assembly, strongly endorsed the opinion of a leading nationalist Commons Member that should avenge the massacre of the Engellexic people, that took place in the capital of Liege, by seizing the city of Verdan...They must not, and certainly cannot, prevent our marching on Liege, if her Majesty’s Government so chooses...The former Northern Secretary sat down to large cheers from the Commons Assembly." The language used by Sir Anthony Pelham-Holles and the following cheers suggest that government of Great Engellex want an occupation of Liege and maybe even worse. To the Holy Kingdom of Corsica it sounds like what Great Engellex and Broetonia want are 2 totally different things.

OFFICIEL ERKLÆRING

The Government of His Danic Majesty is extremely mindful of the calamity that has befallen the Republique de Li
ége in recent times in the period commencing and subsequent to the ascent of M. Enjolras Rousseau of the Ligue de Défense Liégeois as the new Chancellor.

His Danic Majesty's Government is moved to lend its support to the current administration to achieve the necessary restoration of civil order to the country, in a thoroughly impartial manner, which is required with a degree of great urgency, within limits acceptable for a civilised society, if bloodshed is to cease. As such, following earlier statements issued from the Udenrigsministeriet in Christiansborg, we support the assumption of emergency powers by M. Rousseau to effect this aim. This is our recognition of the immensely difficult state of affairs that
Liége currently experiences and as such, extreme circumstances require extreme remedies.

But this assumption of powers must be always under the strict proviso that it is for a limited time frame and should not be extended indefinately and, furthermore, evolve into autocratic and despotic government, and should be mindful of the dispute as to the legitimacy of the rule of the new government. Additionally, it is imperative that the assumption of emergency powers not be abused for the advantage of one community over another and must be for the benefit of all Liégeois irrespective of the ethnic, cultural and lingustic background that they derive from.

However, whilst we recognise the extreme circumstances that afflict Liége at this moment in time, we strongly urge the Rousseau administation to engage in stringent dialogue with the opposition to find an amicable resolution for the long-term stability of Liége. As such, there should be complete exploration of effectual measures to achieve this end which should necessarily involve the release of opposition leaders and their supporters. This may be difficult, but it is necessary and will be a symbolic and practical demonstration of true statesmanship by M. Rousseau, despite disputes over his right to govern. This is an opportunity and a test.

However, we must give guidance that a failure to put this eventuality into place not only risks continued fracturisation within
Liégeois civil society and structures, but also the dire risk of external territorial intervention by neighbouring powers which the Republic will not be in a position to resist against.

Furthermore, we believe that it is of paramount importance that all criminality against any citizen irrespective of background, including the recent deaths reported, be fully and exhaustively investigated and due punishment be carried under the full onus of impartial law. This would have a positive and healing effect for the whole country and is, as such, for the greater good.

We readily understand the desire of ethnic
Liégeois to affect their own determination. In this endeavour, there is a common understanding given our own historical struggles to regain our own independence from the Holy German Empire which we achieved in 1660. But our own historical lesson has guided us in that it is far better to strike a conciliatory approach to constituent peoples not necessarily of the dominant ethnic, linguistic and culural group. We have accomplished this over many years. Our own experience informs us that this is not a simple approach and takes time, effort, and dialogue. But our example proves as an inspiration that it is achievable.

Regarding the recent development of the establishment of an International Commission, we are of the view that this may of great beneficience. There are contradictory accounts emanating from either side of the recent elections as to the legitimacy of the advent of the government of M. Rousseau. An International Commission should be tasked with the responsibility of fully validating the election returns and thoroughly investigating all accounts to ascertain the concreteness of the legitimacy of the rule of the
Ligue de Défense Liégeois, or not, as it may transpire. The Government of His Danic Majesty is willing to be a composite member of this commission, alongside other nations, and shall willingly send representatives to the said Commission.

Corsica will send representatives to this international commission as well, but everything we do should run through Liege first and the Great Engellex military should be kept in check, his Most Catholic Majesty does not want this to escalate any further. The people of Liege should have full control of what happens in their own country, not the nations that surround them.

The Government of His Danic Majesty congratulates the readiness of the Holy Kingdom of Corsica to involve itself in the Commission and we cordially remind the Corsican government that we are on record that we urge the current administration of M. Rousseau to put into effect the stringent measures required.

However, it is transparent that not every government is accepting of the state of affairs that have transpired in
Liége for multiple reasons and, as such, not only should a Commission be established to assuage those more doubtful governments, but also as an act of transparency.

In international consensus, the onus is upon the administration of
Liége to prove itself to the international community, which we hope and expect it shall do so to the utmost degree judging by the pronouncements by M.Rousseau.

I know that Corsica has already agreed to be in this commission, but before we force these measures, especially the release of the murderers, on Liege that Danmark has so kindly asked for, we in Corsica believe that they should be approved by both the commission and the interim government of Liege. If the Interim Government in Liege does not feel like these measures will help their people, then we will come to a better compromise. Corsica will not sit by while the powers in Europe try to play puppet master and pull the strings in Liege, it's up to the people to decide what should be best for their country and who else is better to know that then the man they all rallied behind, Rousseau.

THE Oceanic Realms has suspended operations of our Foreign Office in Verdun as of May 16. This suspension of diplomatic operations, we hope, will clearly reflect our opinion that regional peace and security has been undermined by destabilizing entities of a rancorous nature. Whether delivered by Engellexic Authority, or International Commission, we believe in the inevitably of justice that shall be served under faith or fire, by the end of this calendar year. And while we do not recognize a direct connection between violent entities in Liege, and Liegois residents within these , we will not hesitate in monitoring radical entities that may have or might take form here in the Oceanic Realms.

It has been alleged by many that the Crimson Islands do not keep its most Engellexic interests to heart, but what actions we have taken in Implaric-Oceania have only ever been done to preserve the True Peace & Security of an Engellexic Region comprised of its righteous culture, and spectacular race. The Grand Force of the Covenant stands, sails, and flies ready to deliver the Queen-Empress' justice wherever its perpetrators may hide. This Foreign Office, which operates under the Covenant between Queen Alice & Chancellor North, is officially at the disposal of our properly Engellexic counterparts, and will take any and all actions to preserve the glory and honor of the Establishment.

Forward !

DULWICH, THURSDAY, 17th MAY 2012

The Right Honourable The Secretary of State has received the Command of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty The Queen-Empress
to make known the following gracious Statement of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty
to the European Community.

An Extension of The Queen-Empress' Statement in Council.

TO THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY
I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty;

I now intend to address the international community and to inform it of the position of her Majesty and the Imperial Government, which remains un-changed, as well as to state what has occurred since my letter to the Republic of Liege on 15 May 2012.

Since I made my letter to the assumed governance of the Republic of Liege the international community and, indeed no doubt, the people of Europe have been placed into a position of the greatest confusion from statements made by the Government of the Kingdom of Corsica with respect to the stance of her Majesty and the Imperial Government on the deplorable developments that manifest in Verdun. It is not my intention to make any comment on the statements made within the Commons Assembly; but I feel it right – especially after the tommy-rot which had been made on the subject – to say that it appears, perfectly so, that Sir Anthony Pelham-Holles had the full right and reason, by his principles, to form the opinion that he did on the Liege Crisis, and that it is quite unbecoming of governments to seize the words of an elected representative to the Imperial Parliament, that does not hold an official position of State, in an attempt to pursue a crisis at the great expense of serious consideration of the points proposed by myself to the Republic of Liege to remedy.

I stated on Tuesday, 15 May 2012, that her Majesty and the Imperial Cabinet found it necessary for a European Commission to be formed, in order to investigate and pass judgement on the present and past state of affairs in the Republic of Liege. I, the Imperial Cabinet, and her Majesty, have yet to receive a communication from the assumed governance of Liege on this matter.

On that same letter, I conveyed the demand for the immediate release of President Alfred Hughes, having been empowered to pursue that endeavour by the command of her Majesty the Queen-Empress; a political, and, most importantly, national personage should not be imprisoned by a political opponent without the due process of an independent national or international judiciary, to do so is in gross violation of democratic and civilised codes that Great Engellex will insist are maintained.

My letter also conveyed a proposition for an inter-governmental institution to be established that may research and advise the Republic of Liege on policies for ethnic and social cohesion.

I have received encouragement, in respect of this situation, from the governments of the Kingdom of Breotonia and the Grand Duchy of Potenza, however, it is right to allow the Republic of Liege to formally respond to the international community within an acceptable time frame of twenty-four hours, before it is best decided on how to proceed.

The government of the Kingdom of Corsica is kindly requested to refrain from formal commentary of the situation; the position of the Talemantine Empire has been, with regret and disappointment, acknowledged.

DULWICH EVENING DISPATCH

FRIDAYMAY 182012

LIEGE CRISIS

SECRET CONFERENCE TO TAKE PLACE; NONSUCH OUTLINES ENGELLEXIC POSITION

Soon after, his Grace, the Duke of Nonsuch addressed the concerned Nations of Europe on the Liege Crisis and the formal position of Great Engellex, a communication was made to the Imperial Cabinet, the name of the foreign government remained privy to his Grace, detailing an engagement of diplomacy to take place in Liege to settle the crisis – what caused shock and irritation within the House of Lords was the nature of this conference, it is to be held secretly without an invitation to be extended to her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet. The Duke of Nonsuch confirmed that he avoided any expressions of irritation and fury to his counterpart, within the foreign government, declaring to his peers that the fault of such treachery and duplicity lay at the feet of lesser courts of lesser peoples, and will I not entertain discredit to a noble and most illustrious friend of her Majesty – the statement caused a great speculation within both chambers of the Imperial Parliament, with the strongest trends being Cantignia, Potenza and Arendaal.

The Duke of Nonsuch was asked whether her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet contemplated to completely abandon the conservative and commercial policy which had previously formed the bond of alliance between Great Engellex and the Talemantine Empire. The Earl of Poplar was reminded that Engellex and Talemantros, connected, as they had so long been, by the similarity of their respective institutions, despite the Talemantine intent to move away from co-operation with the a leader of European civilisation, still had much more to enjoy in the future no doubt. The Talemantine Government still remains committed to the honour of close inter-governmental communication, that a suspension or a cessation of such guarantees for sincere association with her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet would necessarily imply an abandonment on the part of Talemantros of those political and economic advantages, and would necessarily diminish, in a considerable degree, the sympathies and respect they enjoy within Engellex for their civilisation and what it stands for; so damaging would a Talemantine sponsorship of such a conference be, that I state to you, my peers, that I will not pass formal judgement until their exists greater intelligence.

The full statement to the House of Lords was at a considerable length; and its tone was, though not of annoyance, at all events of the Liege Crisis decided and energetic. The position of her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet was stated to be what perhaps the Imperial Parliament already guessed under the circumstances. It purported to repudiate all rumours of a military action again the Republic of Liege; it spoke of her Majesty as having no desire to legitimise the absurdities of a despotic authority under Rousseau; it confirmed the difficulties experienced by the Imperial Cabinet in dealing with the situation from several quarters in Europe and the lack of communication from Verdun; the dangers that now threatened not only the Anglo-Saxon world by the Preuti-Borussian continent, from the rapid and violent progress of Liegeois nationalist ideals; and it, for the first time, formally confirmed that the Imperial Cabinet is considering a number of non-military options to reinforce its position against the encroachment by lesser states. The statement on the Engellexic position was not considered as sufficiently satisfactory and left much to speculate; there were not found in it assurances of a positive nature on the potential of retaliatory conduct from the Imperial Cabinet; nor did it completely confirm or dismiss the deterioration of relations with the Talemantine Government – sufficiently so to satisfy the parties to whom were particularly interested.

It had been urged on the part of the Earl of Poplar, that it was absolutely necessary to give explanation of a still more precise kind; that public opinion in Engellex required his Grace to do so; that the momentous events which had just taken place in Liege, and the affront of a secret conference, would, no doubt, be energetically be commented on around Great Engellex, and that it would be not merely satisfactory but absolutely indispensable for the Imperial Cabinet to have some intelligence, some assurance, something more akin to the position of the country, in fact, to present to Parliament when, as would certainly be the case, explanations were demanded at the commencement of this secret conference.

With reference to the Talemantine Government, the Duke of Nonsuch said that what lately had occurred has not disposed her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet to regard the conduct of it – and other lesser states – as one that ought necessarily to induce the cabinet to allocate any more regret and disappointment than it has hitherto done. While admitting that Talemantine Government has succeeded in crippling the confidence of her Majesty toward their government, the Cabinet still regard the Northern Himyari state as relatively conducive to the interests of the Imperial Crown.

KINGDOM OF WISSEMANDIE
The installation of George Cavendish-Bentincke, Earl of Nonsuch, brother to her Majesty the Queen-Empress, as King Georges of Wissemandie took place at Mormant on 17 May 2012 in a solemn and reserved ceremony with the Ministers of Mormant and the Duke of Rothermere, representing the Crown of Great Engellex. The formal declaration of independence of the Kingdom of Wissemandie was first read in French, and then in Engellexic. It was then signed by Georges of Wissemandie, the Duc de Fontaine-Harcourt, and the Duke of Rothermere. It was remarked that, as in the annexation of Flanders-Haintaut, the Duke of Rothermere declared to the ministers at Mormant a welcome to the Empire, but avoided any indication that the Queen-Empress assumed the title of sovereignty for Wissemandie.

The first act of King Georges was to terminate the draft of the Constitution of Wissemandie. His decision was made on the advice of the Ministers of Mormant. It is to be formally drafted and promulgated after the proclamation of the result of the vote of a parliamentary election, based on the system of Montelimar, to take place next month.

His Majesty's Government was not made aware upon the receipt of its invitation that such an essential party had been left out. Whether this was an oversight by the strained interim government or an intentional denial of having Engellex present during these negotiations we must make our strongest call that this situation be rectified. No suitable resolution to the crisis can be agreed upon in the absence of Engellex and His Majesty's Government will withhold its own delegation until this matter is remedied.

MONTEL PROTESTATIONS

THUGS OF REVOLUTIONARY OPINION CAUSE REIGN OF TERROR

A Montel Workers Demonstration resulted in many violent acts of insolence beginning over the week-end in various parts of Flanders-Hainaut and Wissemandie, but it is difficult to say what the outcome will be. In some instances a compromise was swiftly arranged on the basis of restoring Montel work and labour laws for factory hands, this was confirmed in several industrial heartlands of Wissemandie. In others, notably around Lille, the general grievance is to reduce the ten hour work day established upon annexation, to which end it cannot be told yet. In some rare instances workers are demanding the end to fourteen hour shifts, citing a constitution that no longer applies. The chief demonstrations were in Lille, where about ninety thousand men and women abandoned factories for rebellious behaviour. Their places were quickly filled and disruption, largely to food processing, was minimal. In Bordeaux a number close to eleven thousand men also left to participate in rebellious bastardry.

The men who had departed their employment in Lille and Bordeaux became very violent on Sunday, a great and despicable act of insolence, and attacked many civil and commercial premises. The local constabulary and the Royal Engellexic Army defended the cities, and in the fighting which ensued twenty-two strikers and three officers of the constabulary were fatally defeated. One officer was captured and beaten by the Montel mob in Lille, where they hung him within a market district. A socialist congregation of the city issued an incendiary circular through a computerised program, more popularly referred to as a social network, calling upon the people of Flanders-Hainaut to take up arms in revenge for the attempt by the local constabulary to maintain the Queen-Empress Peace. The Prime Minister of Wantage proceeded to the Grand Ducal palace in Biden to attain a decree calling for the removal of such devices from troubled regions on Sunday afternoon; the Grand Duke deferred the decision to parliamentary vote on Thursday afternoon.

A desperate encounter occurred in Eastern Lille on Monday, constabulary officers believe as a result of computerised campaigning, between the officers and student revolutionaries. The latter, to the number of seventeen-thousand, were holding an unsanctioned demonstration in a public square, when the constabulary appeared at the scene and ordered them to disperse. The revolutionaries, however, refused, and in the conflict which ensued several hand-held army weaponry – from the defeated Montel Army, were used with devastating consequence against the officers. Twenty-two officers were killed and many wounded. The Engellexic Army were swift to move in and attack aircraft of the Second Air Wing of the Royal Engellexic Air Force demonstrated against the revolutionaries on the consequence that would be had should they continue.

A local report states that on Monday afternoon a great congregation of revolutionary youths, organised by Montel nationalists, was held in the open air of the destroyed Lille market square, those attending being predominantly young men and women holding derogatory opinions of Engellex. The speeches delivered were of a highly inflammatory character, the advice of the self-appointed leadership was to bring destruction on and pillage all the property of the Engellexic people – military and civilian. Seeing that the mob were being incited to terrible violence, the constabulary ordered the crowd to disperse; but this they showed no inclination to and a force of constables thereupon advanced to clear the square. The revolutionaries immediately retorted by the use of projectiles and, what appeared to be, a rocket-propelled grenade directly into the closely packed ranks of the officers. Eighteen of the men were killed outright by the bursting of the destructive weaponry, and eleven others were mangled in a frightful manner. The officersopened fire upon the mob; but at the outset their force was not sufficiently strong to clear the square. The revolutionaries returned the fire with abandoned firearms, a desperate struggle for the possession of the square commenced. Finally the constabulary were reinforced by the Engellexic Army, and, pouring in a rapid fire, compelled the congregation to disperse. Three aircraft of the Royal Engellexic Air Force roared overhead, demonstrating the lack of tolerance for such violence by the authorities. A great number of the revolutionaries were seen to fall, and it is believed that over eighty were shot down; but the number cannot be definitely known, as each man as he fell was removed by their allied thugs. The army received no fatal casualties.

DICTATORSHIP OF LIEGE
The people of Engellex and Europe are already quite informed of the event that took place a day or two after the coup d’etat in Liege, whereby a decree was published announcing the arrest of the former, and legitimate, government including the president, to await for a trial to be conducted by a member of the new dictator’s government, Roland Frollo. On its first appearance this terrible action was spoken of by civilised states as a mere threat to democratic ways. It now appears that it is something more formidable. Every day adds to the certainty that the suppression of the Anglo-Saxon peoples of Liege will be carried out with stringent affect against those unfortunate persons, who, because they have had the temerity to boldly have known their heritage as Anglo-Saxons in Liege, are branded traitors and criminals.

His Grace, the Duke of Nonsuch, confirmed that the regime of Liege submitted to Engellexic pressures against the confirmed rumours of a diplomatic conference of secrecy by the extension of an invitation to her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet. A statement on behalf of her Majesty the Queen-Empress will be addressed to this congress of diplomats in Liege, however, the Duke of Nonsuch refused to confirm speculation on what lies within it. All quarters of this atrocious-murderous affair will have the displeasure of her Imperial Majesty made known to them, in time.

THE LATE POPE STEPHANUS IV
Henry Edward Cardinal Manning, Archbishop of Southwark, addressed to the House of Lords his desire to make a communication to their Lordships on the death of Pope Stephanus IV. The communication was on behalf of Herbert Alfred Vaughan, the Archbishop of Ealing, who remains at the Royal St. Georgiana’s Hospital for treatment. He had received from the Archbishop of Ealing a letter, which read :- My Lords, - his late Holiness the Pope Stephanus IV left a legacy upon which those of the Capitoline Communion in Great Engellex feel greatly moved and enlightened by. It is my wish, in honour of his memory, and in remembrance of his teachings from the Holy See, to attain parliamentary sanction of works to be performed for the construction of a new House of Lord, of my communion, within the city of Ealing. Allow me, therefore, to request your Lordships to endorse this great construction in the name and memory of a most holy father and deliverance the people from the destruction of our moral fabric by the collapse of enlightened states around us. Cardinal Manning, the Archbishop of Southwark, stated to the House of Lords that the Capitoline Church of Great Engellex shall assume the absolute expense of the great endeavour. The House of Lords voted in favour of endorsement.

ROYAL COMMISSION UPON THE DEPRESSION OF TRADE
The Imperial Parliament received the First Report of the Royal Commission upon the Depression of Trade – established by her Majesty to evaluate the consequences of the Saamiskavien and Borussian folly – which is dated May 25, and is signed by the thirty members, headed by the President of the Board of Public Trade. The document opens with a reference to the statement made by the Queen-Empress earlier this year which established the mission of the Royal Commission, and which stated that the Commissioners were proceeding to consider in detail the condition and prospects of some of the leading industries of Great Engellex. The report then proceeds :- The industries which we selected as the most suitable for our immediate consideration were the coal and metal trades; the several branches of the textile trades; agriculture; and transportation. In selecting there special branches of the trade and industry of the country, we were influenced not only by their intrinsic importance, but by their representative character.

The metal trades, for instance, afforded an example of a commodity the raw material of which is to a very large extent found within the limits of Great Engellex, and in the manufacture of which the cost and efficiency of labour are considerations of primary importance. In the textile industries, on the other hand, the raw material is not only almost wholly imported from abroad, but also forms the principal element in the cost of the manufactured articles; while both the agriculture and the transportation industries involve considerations of a different order, on which it is unnecessary for the Royal Commission to enlarge so at present. It appeared to the Royal Commission therefore that an investigation into four branches of trade which were of so much individual important, and were affected by such widely different conditions, could not fail to throw much light upon the problem placed before the country, and enable her Majesty’s Royal Commission to define with greater precision the limits of the inquiry. After stating that the notes of the evidence taken at forty meetings held between February 1st and Mary 1st, is submitted with the report, the document goes on to say that in conducting the examination of the several witnesses who appeared before the Royal Commission we endeavoured in the first instance to determine from their opinions whether the trade or industry with which they were connected could be properly described as depressed; if so, the precise meaning to be attached to that expression. The causes which have contributed to bring about the existing condition of trade and industry; and any remedies which could be suggested.

The minutes of evidence taken between February 1st and May 1st are then given, the witnesses having been confined to the metal and textile industries, with the exception of two members of the Westmooreland Agricultural Board of Control, who were examined rather late, and whose testimony was of importance to the inquiry into agriculture.

The Queen-Empress addressed the House of Lords, and stated her appreciation of the product of the Royal Commission and expressed her hope that it’s work shall form the foundations of new policy to bring the Engellexic industries back to exemplary performance.

BOLIATURIAN MAGYAR FOREIGN AFFAIRS
CITIZEN'S COUNCIL OF 100

The Boliaturian peoples see the blatant disregard for the cries of the Montel people by the government of Engellex as an extreme policy towards the denial of freedom and a threat to all free peoples and equal people of the world. Boliatur also sees the move by the government of Engellex to support the radical racists and bigots in Wasatch as a threat to European security. Boliatur realizes it holds no influence of Engellex, nor believes that Engellex will listen to the Citizen's Council, but the people of Boliatur condemn the actions of Engellex in the hope that other nations will do so as well.

The Grand Duchy condemns this act of violence by special interest groups within the region of Montelimar, and support the motions by Engellex to maintain order within her borders.

We will likewise maintain watch over Potenza's border with Montelimar, and openly state that any attempt to spill the violence over into the Grand Duchy will be considered a military attack and will be treated as such.

DULWICH, THURSDAY, 31st MAY 2012

The Right Honourable The Secretary of State has received the Command of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty The Queen-Empress
to make known the following gracious Statement of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty
to the Princes, and Chiefs of Boliatur.

An Extension of The Queen-Empress' Statement in Council.

TO THE PRINCES, AND CHIEFS OF BOLIATUR
I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty;

With regard to my fellow Montel countrymen in Wantage, I believe it not necessary that Great Engellex should remind governments of Europe that on every occasion her Majesty’s Imperial Cabinet and Parliament has guaranteed for them the entire liberty and freedom which are claimed for by the people of Anglo-Saxon heritage.

Her Majesty the Queen-Empress has never, for a moment, thought to ask the Imperial Parliament to look upon the Montel people unfavourably, but that the Imperial Parliament shall foster them, that is shall indeed cherish them, that it should encourage the prospects of wealth and achievement in their lives. Her Majesty ensured that the Imperial Parliament would leave them perfectly free, permit them the same rights, the same privileges, the same power that her Majesty would confer upon every other Preuti-Borussian community within Great Engellex.

Now, what has been the course taken by the present regime in Boliatur? Because, it is understood, that Great Engellex is charged with the oppression and tyranny of non-Anglo-Saxon ethnicities; and the intelligence departments of my ministry have it that it is indeed the regime of Boliatur that forms pride on the subjugation of other societies and organisations that do not meet the criteria of its own perverted ideology. To the point of financing the actions of revolutionary thugs in more civilised societies.

Boliatur exists on the fringes of Europe, beyond the reach of civilisation and democracy; the day the enlightened metropolises of Preuti-Borussia acknowledges the hysterical-half-pints of the self-appointed Citizens Council of Hundred will be quite a dark day indeed.

The absurdities of the Citizens Council is so profound that not a member of it should find themselves house-room within the imperial metropolis.

By the Grace of GOD, of the EMPIRE of GREAT ENGELLEX, CHARLOTTE, the QUEEN-EMPRESS, through the SECRETARY of STATE, his Grace the DUKE of NONSUCH

DULWICH EVENING DISPATCH

THURSDAYMAY 312012

PROCLAMATION OF PEACE

SIGNATURE OF THE TREATY IN DULWICH

The Dulwich Treaty of Peace was on Thursday concluded and SIGNED in the imperial metropolis. At six o’clock in the evening the cannons of the capital city announced the event by a salvo of one-hundred-one guns.

The Council of State was summoned at Battent Palace on Thursday morning, at nine o’clock, and remained sitting till half past eleven. The Queen-Empress presided, and gave her last instructions, and, his Grace, the Duke of Nonsuch returned to his town residence to receive the plenipotentiaries at Nonsuch House. They appeared in full uniform, and wore all their orders and decorations. They assembled in the Queen-Empress Dining Room before quarter to twelve, and after the treaty was read over proceeded to sign it in the same order of precedence which they have been accustomed to during the Dulwich Conferences. Crowds of pedestrians had been out from an early hour, as it was known that something important was to occur, and numerous congregations of people were made on Adelaide Embankment and close to Warwick Street near Battent Palace to see the plenipotentiaries enter and leave. They were received, both on going and returning, with gestures of great respect from the capital’s people. The moment the signatures were completed, the expected signal was given, and three canons mounted on the fortified forms of the Adelaide Embankment proclaimed the news before the ministers departed Nonsuch House. At two o’clock the following proclamation was affixed to the walls of Nonsuch House and the Northern Department building – where the Imperial and European Ministry now operates from :- Peace was signed to-day, at half past one, at Nonsuch House. The plenipotentiaries of Great Engellex, Montelimar, Wissemandie, Fontaine-Harcourt and Frœschwiller-Wœrth, have affixed their signatures to the Treaty, which puts an end to the existing war between Great Engellex and Montelimar, inclusive of its Successor States.

The Queen-Empress wished to receive all the plenipotentiaries immediately after the signatures were affixed to the treaty to congratulate them on the happy result of their labours, and to thank them for the redoubled activity they displayed during the last two weeks, thanks to which peace was signed moments after the declaration of an armistice. Addressing herself more particularly to the Duc de Fontaine-Harcourt, soon to be King of Montelimar, her Majesty expressed to him, in dignified but cordial terms, her sincere satisfaction at seeing the two countries completely reconciled.

Field Marshal Arthur Batten-Lyon, 12th Duke of Rothermere and War Secretary, after a protracted interview with her Majesty the Queen-Empress, attended at Battent Palace on Thursday afternoon, when it was determined that the news of the signing of peace at Nonsuch House should be more properly announced, both at Battent Palace, the Adelaide Embankmenet for a second time, Dulwich Castle, Battersea Park, and Warwick Castle, by the firing of a salute of one-hundred-one guns at each location. It was decided that to not interrupt tea time within the metropolis, the hour appointed for the ceremony was six o’clock in the evening. The fact rapidly gained publicity, and a very large concourse of persons collected in Battersea Park, within the space leading from the Royal Blues Guards Parade to the Duke of Richmond’s arch. One-hundred-one guns were brought from the gun-house into Battersea Park, and arranged, with the mouths facing the river. A squadron of the Royal Blues kept the ground, in order that no accident might occur to the spectators. A great body of constables was also in attendance. The flashes of the guns upon the surrounding parkland, and the sharp reverberation of the successive reports, had a striking effect upon the spectators not just in the park but throughout Dulwich.

The military bands at the three Dulwich barracks, from within Battersea Park, Dulwich Castle and outside Battent Palace, at the same time played the , and when the Battersea Park guns had ceased, the report of the guns at Dulwich Castle were distinctly heard booming in the distance; this was followed by Adelaide Embankment, and then Warwick Castle. At the termination of the firing, the people filled the air with loud and patriotic acclamations. The bells of the different metropolitan cathedrals and churches rang merry, until after mid-night in commemoration of the event.

OFFICIAL DECLARATION OF PEACE BY THE ENGELLEXIC GOVERNMENT
The dispatches had indeed been sent by his Grace the Duke of Nonsuch, her Majesty’s Secretary of State, to the ambassadors of Europe within Dulwich, announcing the signature of peace between Great Engellex and Montelimar at half past one on the Thursday May 31, at Nonsuch House, in Dulwich. The plenipotentiaries of Great Engellex, Montelimar, Wissemandie, Fontaine-Harcourt, and Frœschwiller-Wœrth, have affixed their signatures to the treaty which puts an end to the war; and which, while definitively settling Preutien Sovereignty Crisis – established by the Federation’s aggression before the war, establishes the tranquillity of Preuti on solid and durable bases.

The exchange of the ratifications will take place at Valmy in, an estimated, eight weeks, or sooner if possible, due to the need of electing the parliaments in Valmy, Mormant, Fontaine-Harcourt and Strausberg; until that time the stipulations of the treaty cannot be fully made public.

OFFICIAL DECLARATION OF PEACE IN HAMMERSMITH
On Thursday, at half past six in the evening, about nine thousand persons had gathered in front of Mansion House in the expectation that the Lord Mayor of Hammersmith would make an official announcement that the war was at an end. His Lordship presented himself at the balcony, and, addressing the people assembled, said he had just received the following communication from the Secretary of State for the Home Office :-

My Lord, I have the honour to acquaint your Lordship that the Imperial Metropolis of Dulwich had received a four-hundred-four gun salute to the official declaration of peace between Great Engellex and Montelimar, dated May the 31 in Dulwich, with the definitive treaty for the restoration of peace, and for the maintenance of the integrity and prosperity of Preuti by the formation of the Engello-Preutien League, signed at Nonsuch House at half past one in the afternoon, by the plenipotentiaries of her Majesty the Queen-Empress, of the King of Montelimar, of the King of Wissemandie, of the Prince of Fontaine-Harcourt, and also the Prince of Frœschwiller-Wœrth.

Charles Foster, Earl of Onslow
To his Lordships, the Lord Mayor of Hammersmith.

The Lord Mayor then proposed three cheers for the Queen-Empress, and three cheers for army, navy and air force, which were most enthusiastically given. Precisely at mid-night the functionaries of Hammersmith, preceded by the Lord Mayor, left Mansion House, and proceeded on foot to the Square of St. Georgiana from where he read the dispatch. The roofs and windows of all the buildings in immediate locality of the square were crowded. Standards and imperial flags were floating from most of the commercial and public buildings, and also on the vessels within Hammersmith. As soon as the official proclamation had been made at the square, the centre of the city was illuminated by spectacular fireworks and lighting.

TERMS OF THE ENGELLO-MONTEL TREATY OF PEACE
The members of the Dulwich Conferences have still to perfect a number of secondary arrangements essential to the new state of relations in Preuti. It is believed the organisation of the Engello-Preutien League is one of these reserved subjects, and another is believed to be special arrangements necessary to establish a dual authority of the City Port of Caen in Wissemandie with the Grand Duchy of Potenza. It is alleged that the settlement of the status of Radilo is satisfactorily provided for by the Treaty of Dulwich. The Dulwich Evening Dispatch was privately assured that Engellex – regarding which it was feared some squabble might be had on the part of Montelimar – is to assume the sovereignty of that kingdom’s overseas ventures in Himyar. It is also stipulated that Montelimar is to maintain no military without the absolute approval of Dulwich, though this needs to be verified.

It rests with the Governments of Preuti – and more especially the Imperial Cabinet, to take care that the treaty becomes a reality with the establishment of a competent Engello-Preutien League. This organisation would give economic security to the war torn regions and encourage prosperity. There is strong reason to believe, however, that the organisation of this enterprise is not fully touched upon in the treaty. On that a separate convention will be negotiated between Engellex and the Montel States. It will be a matter of delicacy, but the dictates for prosperity are quite clear, and the policy of Engellex is to have all conform to these dictates.

The object of the war was to place on a secure foundation the independence of Preuti and the integrity of the Montel States from dictatorship of Borussian Courts within the Federation; to prevent unjustified Borussian wars. To attain these ends, with reference to the Engello-Preutien League, it is requisite that the relations of the Montel States to Great Engellex be substantially strengthened – economically and politically, and that the least possible encouragement should be afforded to the cabals and intrigues of Borussian Courts.
