Newly arrived refugees from Montelimar have today, in the city of Gâtineau in Saint-Laurent (French-speaking Europaland), announced the formation of a new organisation to be called the Front pour la libération totale de Montelimar (Front for the Total Liberation of Montelimar). The organisation, which claims to have the support of a number of left-leaning and republican organisations inside Montelimar, has, as its ultimate aim, the expelling of all Engellexic troops from Montelimar, including the unlawfully-annexed area of Flanders-Hainaut, and the overthrow of all authoritarian institutions within the country itself such as the monarchy. Montelimar, according to the FLTM, must become “a free republic built on radical, democratic principles and with respect for human rights and the rule of law”.
Prime Minister of Saint-Laurent Gabrielle Moreau spoke at the founding event, giving her support to FLTM and its struggle against the autocratic regime of Engellex: “I am proud to support you and all the people of Montelimar in your struggle for liberation. Our two nations have deep historical ties. Many of us in Saint-Laurent are descendents of people who came here from Montelimar hundreds of years ago. Today we see people from Montelimar again coming to our shores, not as victims of poverty in search of a better life but rather as refugees fleeing brutal oppression, tyranny and genocide. Here in Saint-Laurent we have listened in shock and disgust to your stories of unbearable cruelty and brutality committed by the occupation forces of Engellex. To put a stop to this we desparately need organisations like the FLTM that can stand up for the people of Montelimar and use every opportunity possible to support them in their struggle for liberation, democracy and human rights. Vive la Montelimar libre! Vive la liberté et la démocratie!”
Foreign Minister Saida Nasri also expressed support for the organisation and pledged that the government's so-called Freedom Fund will provide FLTM with enough money to establish a satellite TV channel and radio station which will be beamed to Montelimar to ensure free access to information for the people living there. The channel will highlight the atrocities committed by Engellex, inform the population about the activities of the pro-democracy resistance movement and provide a voice for all progressive forces inside and outside of Montelimar interested in ensuring a free and democratic future for the country. The Engellexic Head of State meanwhile has hit out at Europaland with the bizarre claim that refugees from Montelimar have been kidnapped and brought to the country against their will.

Supporters of the 'Yes' side in the upcoming RDTO referendum (less than a week from now) express concern over the emergence of deep divisions within the organisation as Vangala and Jurzan mount a strong vanguardist challenge to the more libertarian-minded member states. Opponents of the RDTO in the Centre Party and Liberal Forum claim this vindicates their argument that it would be better to focus on pursuing a new military alliance open to all democratic states.
