Car Bombs in St. George!
Explosiosn were heard outside of the 1st National bank in St. George today. Three carbombs were detonated in front of the building, which killed three. 12 more were injured. The Nationlist Front took responsibility for these attacks. Now, President Sunter promises, there will be swift and violent action agaisnt these terrorists.

Nationalist Front Shut Down!
It has been confirmed today that the Nationalist Front has been eradicated as a threat to Freiheit. In an intense battle in the city of Culdre, NF Leader Viktor Burkhard was shot and killed. The battle lasted for about an hour, then the remaining NF soldiers surrendered. The trial process promisises to be long and slow, thanks to new laws enacted by President Sunter promising everyone the right to a trial by jury with thier own lawyers. However, the Preisdent promises that all of the people assocaited with the Nationalist Front shall be brought to justice.

News laws have been passed, allowing the Department of The Treasury to Privatize the well-off Coal Industry. Also, there is the possibility of outsourcing the Coal Industry to other countries who do not have enough coal. This sparked some protest in the mostly Communist province of Kohle, were most of Freiheit's coal comes from. However most of the nation seems to agree with President Sunter's new laws, seeing as he still has an approval rating of 75%.

The Congress has been in a deadlock over whether Cigarettes should be outlawed in the country. Most of the government offiacals are heavy smokers, yet some of teh ones who do smoke heavily are voting for this law to pass.
"It just doesn't make sense that we have illegalized Marijuana, but continue to allow Cigarettes to be legal. If anything Marijuana should be legal, and these disgusting things should be outlawed." Says Congress member John Hawley.
It is likely that the Congress will be in this deadlock for some time, as neither side has given way.

We'd like to express our slight concern about marijuana possibly being legalized in our neighbouring nation of Freiheit. Though we do not wish to take part in such a law or support it, we the government of The Scotlands wish to make sure that no illegal substances find their way across the border and flooded into our streets. What our neighbours do within their own borders is beyond us.
We would also like to possibly buy some shares in the Freiheit coal industry and in return, of course, we would be able to create new jobs for thousands of Freiheitians. The slums that house the Otchi population, in the province of Verteidigung, have seen a high rise in racial violence. Several gangs that are pro-white have been sending in mobsters to set fire, beat, and kill Otchi people. The Otchi people are outraged, and are beginning to demand the government take action against this organized anti-Otchi crime spree. However, many police have been 'looking away' from this crime wave. Also there has been evidence of bribery being used by the racist gangs.
The President has not made an offical statement about the events however, and neither have any government officals.

Despite the President's disapproaval of the violence, that did not stop the gangs from making more attacks yesterday. Fires burned in the Otchi Slums for hours, wounding over 70 Otchi, and killing 3. After the fire, a gas station in a small town called Cura, which is about 2 miles away from the Otchi Slums. Witnesses claim that it was a group of Otchi, however it is unclear whether the witnesses are speaking the truth or simply attempting to get the Otchi in more trouble. No one was hurt in the gas station explosion thankfully.

Foreign Secretary Off To Stirling!
On Wednesday Christoph Denever met with the Taigh Foreign Minister to discuss a possible free trade agreement. The agreement would be an exchange of Freiheitian Coal for Taigh Oil.
"If Taigh Ur excepts our proposal, both of our nations shall find great profit from this deal. Also we will be able to help Taigh Ur come out of the isolation it has been in for so long." said President Sunter of the deal on Thursday. We have yet to hear if the deal has been approved of by Taig Ur.

In order to prevent further attacks on the Otchi people, Cheif of Police Jerry Dubois has ordered that Verteidigung Police block every entrance into the slums, and stop/search every person and vehicle going in or out of the slums. Yesterday the Conservative Party and its ‘allies’ have given in to the Equality Act, and it has passed with 100% of the Congress approving of it. Otchi are pouring out of Verteidigung, and many have begun moving to St. George, or to work in the coal mines in the state of Kohle. Marriages have skyrocketed as White men have begun marrying their Otchi girlfriends, however many small busniness’s are still opposed to the Otchi, and have refused to hire them. Most people are glad that this law has passed. The President gave a speech today, here is an excerpt:
‘This is a glorious day for Freiheit. We have finally given the freedom our nation promised to all of our people, not just the majority. Now the Otchi people can live in a country were they are free, and not enemies of the state as they were before. Now the Racist gangs operating in Verteidigung are warned, if they do not halt such action… military personel will move into the state.’
The Otchi people are now declaring March 25, Freedom Day, and it will be celebrated as the day they were considered people too. The Freiheit Congress is considering adopting this as a Holiday as well.

2010 Economic Outlook
So far our economy is doing great! However this is the time of year that the National Press hosts its economic overlook article.
The Department of the Treasury is hard at work making sure that we Freiheitians stay an economic power to be reckoned with in the world. With a GDP per capita of 50,000 USD and a unemployment rate of only 3%, we are reaching new heights as a economically powerful nation. Here is the government's budget plan for the remainder of 2010:

The government has made it clear that it will spend a considerable amount less on maintaining the many parks and national wildlife reserves that Freiheit has. If the parks and reserves are now going to have to be maintained by volunteer groups mostly. Also Health has become a considerably less of a priority, last year it took up 23% oif the budget! This will result in a shrinking of Doctor's wages and the wages of other Hospital staff. It is possible that Hospitals will be privatized sometime in the future.

The F.I.F. reports that they have found documents stating that the Communist Dictator Olaf Detlev ordered the creation of these nuclear weapons in secret.
Now President Sunter is tasked with the decision on whether to get rid of these nuclear weapons, which may hurt foriegn relations, or to dispose or get rid of them, which takes a great oppurtunity away from the Freiheitian Armed Forces.
