"Good evening fellow countrymen. I speak to you one last time as Canciller of the Continental Imperio de Justosia. I am not going to read the remarks that were prepared for me. I lost, and I use that word as loosely as possible, this elección by less than half a percent. I do not believe it was fair. I believe foul play was involved. As you know, one of the flurry of elección laws passed by the Primero Senado was that the loser of any elección in what is now the imperio, can challenge the results if the margin is under one percent. I could, but will not utilize this right. The Emperatriz has requested I do not. I will obey. Every patriotic eye in the imperio will be upon the party that has been in the wilderness since nineteen seventy one. Of course because the infamous events of nineteen sixty nine. Should they try to pervert this government, I will be only one of many throwing my hat in again to oust him.

I hope and pray Canciller Elect Albares is truly a moderate, and a good man. I am heartened that we are all answerable to God in our roles. Even our sovereign. I am proud of the work I did as highest elected official in the archipiélago. I have no regrets and no shame. It was an honor to lead you. God bless you. Viva Justosia.*

° Canciller Manuel Albares (NSDU) appears not to be heeding the not so subtle warning by Senado Orador Tomas Castro (NCRA). This morning he called for a constitutional convention to streamline parts of the Imperial Constitution he sees as either convoluted, or just plain wrong. A vote to amend the constitution lastly took place shortly after the coronation of the late Emperador & when the Nationalists still had close to a 60 seat super majority. This was to officially reclassify the kingdom as an empire, restore the noble ranks, & related logistics government wise. It requires 60 votes. The Social Democrats seem to be looking for payback. With a united Nationalist Conference, it's unlikely they'll get it.

° Budget talks between the two palaces of the Executive Branch, & the Senado leadership, ongoing.

° Small fire reported at a petrol refinery in Belalcazar. Emperatriz & Canciller informed.

° Governors of Puerta & Llave Islands ask Avalon permission to design own flags. Crown Prince Carlos III, currently deputizing for his mother, ascends both requests with the stipulation that the Imperial Coat of Arms, the current Francisco House crest, appear prominently in the upper left hand corner. Developing.

° Increased navy presence along eastern seaboard of Sirena Islands. Defence Ministry says H.I.M. will soon be in the region but gave no more specifics.

° Emperatriz & Foreign Minister hold 2 hour long video conference meeting today during brief recess in Cairan business. Minister Guzman (NCRA) reportedly, repeatedly assured H.I.M. that the AoMS has non aggression in its charter. Annabella I is said to love the idea of the AoMS in theory, but hesitant to sign anything she thinks will further inflame tensions in Europe. Still it's at very least somewhat likely that she'll sign & trust the government in her name.

° Minister Guzman also presented a short list of candidates for ambassador to the AoMS to H.I.M.

° Senado Orador Castro (NCRA-Avalon) says vote to officially join AoMS is scheduled for tomorrow at his urging. The vote is mostly ceremonial as the Nationalist Conference is united in support.

° Canciller Albares (NSDU) opposes joining AoMS but says of course will respect the senado verdict. Also says that a nation must always be very wary before cosigning itself to any side in history.

° Emperatriz returns from Caira. Announces Senado Orador Castro (NCRA-Avalon) will immediately began pushing through non aggression pact treaty with new Cairan royal government. Bill also includes trade incentives. The Meridian Sea is becoming a bustling trade hub. The original draft included much of H.I.M.'s own wording. Castro is introducing the senado version as per 1823 Constitution, a sovereign cannot introduce legislation to the senado themselves. This was the same year Justosia transitioned from Absolute to Constitutional Monarchy.

° Emperatriz signs off. Then announces she is taking 2 week vacation in Santeledo where there is another royal residence. The Sirena Castle. The islands were named after this.

° Emperatriz reportedly wanted funding for a bullet train network connecting all major cities in budget. Both the Canciller & Senado Orador talked her down. Saying it's far too expensive & that bullet trains are becoming obsolete. This was the only thing they agreed on.

° Nationalist led senado pushes through non aggression pact/trade treaty with HFE in party line vote. Vote occurred immediately after Emperatriz, utilizing her constitutional authority, broke tie in final budget vote. Now passed & signed by both her & the Canciller.

° Emperatriz signs aforementioned treaty. Leaves for castle in the Sirena Islands for 2 week vacation.
