Khalsa Raj Expresses Support For Butuan
Lahore - It would appear that the patience that the Maharajah's government has shown toward Vesper's continued disputes, whether real or contrived, with some of the western powers, seems to be non existant when it it comes to Cantigny's "attempt to undermine the authority and autonomy of the government of Butuan". That and the declartation by the Cantigny government implying that because Khalistan does not stand with Cantigny, it therefore must stand against them, is not likely to endear them in to most Khalistani, little alone the Maharajah and his government.

THE Commonwealth heartily seconds the endorsement of National Independence & Autonomy for Butuan, and resounds with optimism for the day that the Patriots of Khalistan and their Rajh views Cantigny as both neighbor and friend, as the Patriots of Butuan naturally do.

We of the Rajahnate of Butuan have a great deal of admiration to our Indic brethren of the Khalsa Raj and accept with gratitude the support that has been freely offered.

Embassy In Butuan Reports Armed Cantigni Soldiers In Butuan
Reporters have confirmed stories from embassy staff in the Khalsa Raj embassy in Butuan of armed Cantigni soldiers being observed in several western Butuanese villages as well as flyovers by what is identified as Cantigni fighters. Though there has been no combat reported between these Cantigni soldiers or fighters and the Butuanese Defence Force, there is a curious announcement by the Butuanese Foreign Ministry of planned arrests and deportation of Cantigni illegally in Butuan. Is the Butuanese government planning on arresting the Cantigni army and deporting them. "If this is true," said one annonomus high ranking officer in the Khalsa Raj Army, "and whether it is successful or not, such a move could be quite an embarrassment to the Cantigni military, to have their soldiers arrested like common immigration violators and deported would be a great blow to the pride."

So far there has been no comment from the Butuanese government.

THE Commonwealth is flattered by the Lahore National Tribune's National obsession with Cantigny, and commends the information source for shedding light on the potential injustice that might be inflicted upon Cannie peacekeepers participating in this ongoing humanitarian operation in Butuan. The initial 24 Hour deadline set by rogue elements of the Butuanese Government has been surpassed several times over by now, and we are glad to announce that The Press, Evening Regards, elements of the Freedom Foundation, and any free investigative organism from around the world will be invited to view Cantigny's celebration for the Nation of Butuan in Butuan City. The Commonwealth only hopes that Khalistan will extend this same faith and support to the autonomy of Bombaim, should its freedom ever be realized.

Khalistan Offers Supports To Butuan In Dispute With Cantigny
Lahore - Having confirmed the presence of Cantigny armed forces on the island of Butuan, an univited presence, one that is against the will of the Butuanese government, the Maharajah's government has not only proclaimed support to the Butuanese but has also offered to aid them in ridding the Cantigny military presence from Butuan. Though Butuan has yet to declare the Cantigny incursion as an act of war, the likelihood that the Rajahnate will is a distict possibility if the Cantigni forces do surrender or leave Butuanese soil.

Even if we believe it is noble that Khalistan defends the sovereignty of Butuan we believe that the best way the all countries involved in the crisis is a neutrality policy.

Khalsa Navy To Increase Its Presence In Long Sea
Lahore - Though there seems to be a cease-fire in the Talemantine-Altai War, the threat that it will erupt again and this time with third parties become also involved has the Admiralty concerned with the safety of civilian Khalistani shipping in the Long Sea and has announced that additional Khalsa naval air and sea assets will be assigned to the Khalistani sea routes through to the Great Sea so as to alleviate some of the apprehension shipping companies have voiced about the uncertainty of the region. Though it is hoped that the cease-fire will hold and peace obtained, the Khalsa Raj is determined not to take any chances.

Strangulation Murders Resume
Rashpur - It was hoped that as the string of strangulation murders of foreign nationals and foreign employed Khalistani had stopped after the arrest of Rakesh Khullar, for the murder of Father Aaron Mahony, a missionary from the Holy See, that it would be the end of the spree, with the New Year has the may have resumed as four new victims had been discovered in the early morning hours, all foreign and all strangled, and far enough apart that though the police deny the crime have any relationship to a possible resurgence of the Thuggie cult, they have had to admit that they are looking at a group of criminals who use strangulation as a modus operandi, either to spread terror, or to cover up some other unknown plot.

THE Covenant posits its willingness to not view Khalistan's abrupt increase of Military projection as negative news, but perhaps a legitimate interest in the liberties of maritime and aerial patrons of the Long Sea. It may also be requested, if not advised, that Khalistan considers cooperating with those of us also concerned with peace, lest we risk the conditions of peace to become dictated by one interest group.

The deployment of Khalistani military assets to the Long Sea may set a dangerous precedent and we do not wish for further escalation of the conflict, nor for a failure of peacetalks due to the interference and gunboat policy support of either belligerent party in the Himyar region. If Khalistan speaks of a possible involvement of third powers in a resuming of the conflict between Talemantros and Altai, it is actively encouragin such when it deploys forces to the region. A Khalistani military presence in the Long Sea will have lasting consequences for the Khalsa Rajs relations with Carentania.

Khalistan moves to threaten the fragile peace of Himyar. The provocative moves by Khalistan moving warships into a war zone only put its men and women at more danger than they currently. The only justification for Khalistan would be the fear that Talemantine or Altaic ships would open fire upon vessels flying its flag and we can assure the Khalas Raj that Talemantine rules of engagement do not include attacking unarmed ships of a neutral nation. With the Altaic fleet forced in port in Altai and Eiffelland the threat of an Altaic attack is unfounded. We strongly suggest that Khalistan return its war vessels to their home waters before the disrupt the fragile peace of the region.

The Cœurlois government implores the Government of Khalistan to halt its maritime movements in the Long Sea. It must take an international effort to ensure peace is maintained in Himyar, not through provocation by military means. We are willing to dispatch an envoy to meet with officials to discuss alternatives on how to ensure peace is maintained in the region while reaffirming the national security of the Khalsa state.

The fact that the Talemantine Empire and the RDTO wish to deny passage of the neutral naval vessels of the Khalsa Raj through international waters is proof in itself the need for those vessels to be there. As for a Khalsa Raj naval presence in the Sea of Sindh, and as we cannot rely on the Carentania or the Talemantine government to take Khalistani interests within the region into consideration, it falls to the Khalsa Raj to do so for itself.

The mere fact that the peace conference that has been hosted by the Carentanian government is made up of members of the RTDO and a select few non-members does not make it an international effort but one instead designed to reinforce and expand RTDO influence and dominance in the region.

The Constitutional State joins in the growing chorus of international voices that are making their concerns about further military deployments in the Long Sea region known. At the same time the Constitutional State reasserts its commitment to the sacred right to f free exchange of ideas and goods, the foundation of all victories the revolutionary free man has achieved. The Constitutional State offers the Khalistani state the reassurance that the commerce of all free men, regardless of where they hail from, is under the protection of the watchful eyes of the Continental Navy. The Constitutional State is prepared to negotiate with Khalistani authorities to bring about a framework of reassurance that will unnecessitate military deployments in the Long Sea by the Khalistani navy and help prevent the escalation of existing regional security issues.

Since 1850, Khalistan has not relied on foreign governments for its security or the defense of its national interests and do not intend to start now. The deployment of naval assets of the Khalsa Raj is not one of interference, but one of protection of Khalistani interests, a protection that will not be relegated, especially to the RDTO.

The deployment of naval assets to the Long Sea is understandable yet unnecessary and threatens only to cause further chaos in the region. The People's Republic of Vangala promises our brothers in Khalistan warships from the People's Sea Force will do their utmost to guarantee the security of Khalistani vessels.

Although we understand the actions of Khalistan, we'd greatly appreciate Khalistan backing down from deploying ships. We do not feel this will help to calm the tensions in Himyar and will further continue to possible destabilization of the reason. We also are aware that no amount of words will actually be able to convince Khalistan that their actions are unnecessary and to withdraw from the region. Jurzani Naval Presence is common on offshore oil rigs for the defense of economic interests. So long as our interests do not collide, the Republic will not go any farther on the issue.

There was a time when the Khalsa Raj could rely on such assurances from Vangala, but that was before it became a full member of the RDTO, now we can no long be certain that Khalistani interests will not be dismissed in favor of those of the RDTO.

The Khalistani ambassador has been summoned to explain his governments hostility towards the RDTO. If the Khalistani naval deployment is to be seen as a confrontation and a challenge to RDTO efforts at promoting peace in Himyar, we will have to reconsider our current position.
