Tsentralna Rada Condemns Wieser Mobilization

The Tsentralna Rada voted overwhelmingly in favor a motion put forward by the ruling NPP-ARU coalition condemning Wiese recent military mobilizations. General Secretary of the Rada Lilia Kozak called Wieses mobilization: "highly provocative and ill-advised move that will inflame regional tensions. Kyiv will not stand idly by well the war that is raging on the continent expands to our doorstep."

The KPA announced following the declaration the General Staff of the Kyivan Peoples Army had ordered forces in the western regions to an increased readiness. Some reservists have reportedly been called to report for duty, though the scale of the call-up is unclear. A KPA spokesman denied any aggressive intent saying that the KPA mobilization was a purely precautionary measure and that only certain support personnel had been mobilized, though he declined to provide and details citing operational security.

"His Majesty the Wieser Emperor and His Council of Ministers express our relief in the sight that we are not the only neutral and unaligned power in Germania and on its borders to mobilise for defensive operations. The increased readiness of the Kyivan Armed Forces is seen as a positive move in Augsburg, as they help ensure a regional balance of power and put an end to regional fear-mongering.

"The Imperial Defence Forces have been mobilised ever since the unlawful and illegitimate Breotonian-sponsored terrorist attack on Augsburg in September. We are puzzled by the fact Kyiv took no less than over two whole months to respond in kind, but nevertheless, it does not minimise or weaken our relief by any degree, for we are firm believers that Kyiv, as a stable power in southern Sarmatia, will assist in reassuring the world that the dying conflicts of Gallia cannot expand beyond the borders of Montelimar and Solaren in their twilight.

"We trust that our dearest Kyivan friends and colleagues will not hesitate to establish continued, stable diplomatic communication so as to cite their concerns if, at any stage, they feel that the Imperial Defence Forces are directed, at any stage, against a power not deserving the wrath of the Empire. It will be our pleasurable honour to address any such concerns with logic, expedience and belief."

KPA goes to the Empire?

General of the Armies of Kyiv Ilia Nikon announced today that following the conclusion of closed-door negotiations a contingent of the KPA would be deploying to the Empire of Talemantros. General Nikon told reporters that the possibility of security cooperation between the two largest Orthodox powers had been floated some time ago but had been prioritized in light of the "deteriorating international security environment". The General denied though that this represented a formal military alliance, saying such matters were for the Rada to decide.

Immediately after the Generals announcement the General Secretary herself met with reporters to elaborate on the announcement. She reiterated the Generals statement that this did not represent a formal military alliance, adding that: "Kyiv does not have any stake in the ongoing war between the EDF and Engellex and we have absolutely no intention of involving ourselves in the ongoing conflict." So described the plan to deploy some Kyivan troops to the Talemantine Empire as a "Purely military arrangement, to increase familiarity and build military ties between defenders of the Orthodox world."

When asked to comment on the Patriarchs call for support of Talemantros against Gorno-Altai and if that was in any way related to the recent announcement, she denied any link saying: "His Beatitude was acting in his capacity as the head of the Kyivan Church and spiritual leader of our nation when he called for solidarity with our fellow believers in Talemantros. The timing of these announcements was simply a coincidence."

There is no word yet on the scope or timetable of the planned deployments.

The deployment of forces to the Talemantine Empire during this period of tension and the Talemantine pursuit for territorial expansion is clearly the wrong signal. We advise the Kyivan government to postpone their actions until peace between the Talemantines and Gorno-Altai has been restored.

Secretary of Foreign Affairs

On the contrary Kyiv feels that in these chaotic times there is a need for greater solidarity among the nations. Talemantros and Kyiv, united under the cross, must stand together as bulwark against the chaos that has enveloped the west. To cancel the exercises in response to Gorno-Altais aggressive designs would signal to the warmongers and imperialists that they have a free hand to divide and conquer the Orthodox world. That Kyiv will proceed as planned is an irrefutable demonstration of the solidarity between Talemantros and Kyiv.

DULWICH, TUESDAY, 15th NOVEMBER 2011

The Right Honourable The Secretary of State has received the Command of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty The Queen-Empress to make known the following gracious Statement of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty to the President, and Ministers of Kyiv.

An Extension of The Queen-Empress' Statement in Council.

TO THE PRESIDENT, AND MINISTERS OF KYIV

I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty this PRIVATE CORRESPONDENCE;

As the Northern Minister of Great Engellex I am compelled to inquire on yourself the position which Kyiv would assume with respect to a successful occupation of Gorno-Altai by the Talemantine Empire.

It is probable that no decisive advance will be come to in this matter before Gorno-Altai publicly demonstrates its refusal to negotiate the grounds of a peaceful transition to regional peace, and with that government reinforced by token gestures from the Federation, our own representatives are unable to reach any entry into discussions with that state.

The violent invasion of the Zadar0Istrian islands is an unequivocal breach of peace, which we regret the Engellexic force stationed there has not been in a position to absolutely resist.

It must be remembered by regional actors, that when the European Defence Federation committed Preuti-Borussia to a destructive war the state of Gorno-Altai was not a signatory of that alliance, the Federation, rather hastily, appropriated Gorno-Altai following the invasion against the islands.

The resignation of Gorno-Altai from the Federation cannot be omitted from any peace treaty, Kyiv, in the pursuit of regional stability and balance, must avail herself in the Orient with that resignation.

It is quite easy to see the motive that induces the Federation to set such high value on the membership of Gorno-Altai. By its position it can command the Long Sea and Himyar, and would enable the military despotism to make its Freedom of Europe entirely illusory.

By the Grace of GOD, of the UNION of GREAT ENGELLEX, CHARLOTTE, the QUEEN-EMPRESS, through the SECRETARY of STATE, Sir ANTHONY PELHAM-HOLLES

Altai Peace Conference announced in Kyiv

The Secretary of Foreign Affairs announced today that following intense behind the scenes negotiations the governments of Talemantros, Engellex and Gorno-Altai had agree to return to the negotiationg table in Kyiv. The secretary hailed the development as "...a victory for peace in Himyar. All parties involved in these talks now agree that a negotiated peace is the best possible outcome to this conflict. What remains is to determine precisely what that peace will entail."

The talks are a coup for Kyivan foreign policy and a rebuke to critics of it's involvement in Himyar. The Peoples Republic was able to leverage it's position as a strong outsider with ties to both the Talemantine Empire and EDF to convince both sides of the wisdom of returning to the bargaining table, even after previous talks broke down following a leak in Gorno-Altai's negotiating team.

The Foreign Secretary was also keen to add that there would be "No leaks", with the security services reportedly prepared to do everything in it's power to prevent the talks from collapsing again.

For security reasons it has not yet been revealed where the conference will be held.

The People's Republic has repeatedly and explicitly stated our intention not pursue nuclear weaponry, Kyiv is exploiting popular anti-Vangalan sentiment and international tensions to justify a dangerous expansion of its existing nuclear arsenal. The Kyivan military junta is the main threat to peace here, not Vangala.

STATE DEFENSE COUNCIL DECREE No. 1628

The State Defense Council took the unexpected step of releasing a new decree, the first of it's kind issued in many years. Decree No. 1628 entitled On the Defense of Patriarchate states that the Kyivan Peoples Republic recognizes the Patriarch of Talemaniki and the Emperor of Talemantros as the "spiritual heads of the holy church" and that "it is the holy duty of believers to uphold the authority of the Patriarch and Emperor". Following from this the decree directs the Kyivan Peoples Republic to "defend the offices of the Patriarch of Talemaniki and Emperor of Talemantros through any means necessary, up to and including the use of military force".

Though the issuance of the a decree was an unusual step representatives of the Rada were keen to emphasize that the decree was entirely consonant with the beliefs of the Tsentralna Rada and they fully backed the SDC's decision. Commenting on the decision to bypass the Rada a spokesmans fro the General Secretariat told reporters: "The decision to enact these provisions through decree was made because of the urgency of it's provisions, waiting for the law to make it's way through the legislative process held an unacceptable risk. The General Secretariat was kept informed by the State Defense Council at all times and remain fully consonant with the democratic will of the Kyivan Peoples."

When asked if this represented a formal commitment to defend the Empire of Talemantros the secretary of Foreign Affairs responded: "This Decree compels the Peoples Republic to defend the Emperor and Patriarch in Talemantros from any existential threat to their offices as the leaders of our faith. Decree No. 1628 is not a simple promise to uphold the authority of a foreign nation but a declaration of our extraordinary commitment as the faithful to defend the sanctity of the holy church."

KPAAF finalizes Talemantros Base Deal

A spokesman for the Kyivan Peoples Army Air Force announced today that the KPAAF have finalized a deal to lease land near the western city of Sassari in Talemantros for the construction of a Kyivan air base. The lease agreement was stated to cover an initial ten-year period after which the lease would either be renegotiated or the land and base would revert to Talemantine ownership. Full details of the lease, including compensation for Talemantros and any special conditions, were not disclosed however the terms included provisions guaranteeing major contracts for local workers and suppliers and will be "a major boon to the Talemantine construction industry." according to the KPAAF.

Construction at the site, which has already been surveyed by KPA engineers, is slated to begin shortly. Well the KPAAF will use as much Talemantine labor as possible the highly sensitive nature of the airbase will require a significant corps of Kyivan workers and a special KPA unit designated the 1st Airfield Construction Division has been formed to manage the endeavor. The division is presently mustering in Kyiv and the first personnel are set to fly to Talemantros "very soon". Specialized construction equipment and building supplies that cannot be sourced locally will be shipped by sea and reunited with the workers on-site, a necessary step because the weight of materials required would reportedly tie up the KPAAF's entire air transport fleet for an unacceptable amount of time.

Also revealed by the KPAAF was that the base, once it reaches initial operating capacity, will be home to the newly formed 53rd Air Corps along with KPAADF air defenses and KPA security contigents. Further details of these formations are classified though the Air Force indicated Kyiv was committed to transparency in the process and the forces would not pose a threat to regional stability.

The Workers' Republic will not tolerate Kyivan bases in Himyar. We demand the immediate cessation of constructions of this bases. Not only the very nature of Kyivan presense in Himyar is offensive to the free nations of the continent, as Kyiv strengthens the belligerent and imperialist power of the Talemantine Empire, the timing of this move could not be worse, too. Kyiv reinforces the dangerous trend of continued military build-up by powers foreign to Himyar in the region, serving to steer the directions of the current peace-negotiations between Altai and Talemantros in a most unfortunate direction.

Carentania is willing to negotiate a deal with Kyiv that foresees the Kyivan Peoples Army voluntarily abandoning its plans for a military base in the Talemantine Empire. Should Kyiv shun the path of negotiation, the Workers' Republic is prepared to consider other options.

Special Editorial: Styria Must Not Fall

Styria's rapidly escalating civil war is the most-under reported threat in Europe today. With all eyes on the wars in Montelimar, Solaren and Altai the meteoric rise of Styria's rabid communistic left has largely been ignored. But make no mistake the events unfolding in Styria are perhaps the most pivotal in Europe today. The fate of Styria will portend the fate of Francia as we know it.

The RDTO, ceaselessly laboring to bring about the world revolution, have realized this and have already begin eying the tiny nordic nation hungrily. It is not hard to understand the attraction, communism has been on steady a northern march since Engellex's ill-advised war fractured Francia and paved the way for Carentanian occupation of Solaren. If Styria were to fall to communist mobs it would extend their reach even farther still. Communism lost it's grip on the North when the tyrants of Batavie fell, in Styria they seek to regain their foothold there and return to one of the last areas to remain beyond their grip.

The powers of Francia can be not be relied upon to save Styria, they have already demonstrated themselves unable to to put aside their squabbles and unite against the Carentanian armies on their doorstep. Neither can the powers of the far north be relied upon, they to are embroiled in war and mired in economic ruin. It falls to the last powers in Europe to be untouched by war to man the trenches in the north and halt communism relentless march because it is right and because after Styria only Slavia remains.
