Pereslavl-Zalessky
Noticing the arrival of the other guests as Kogler replied, Yuri rose once more. It seemed that the attendants at the airport had brought them all at once, and done so promptly. This was most excellent, in the King's eyes.

"Welcome, to all of you. I am pleased that you have all made it here, uneventfully. I welcome you to my residence here on the lake shore." Yuri Dolgorukiy said, warmly. Walking up to each of them in turn, and shaking their hands, each in their own custom. Smiling at each, he was again pleased to see such a resounding number of delegates attend the meeting. Hopefully, it would yield beneficial results for the Kingdom, and the royal family also. Motioning them all to follow, he lead them down a corridor with marble flooring, and tapestries adorning the walls. Several paintings also depicted scenes from Pereslavl history as well as portraits of other older Dolgorukiy rulers.

Reaching the wooden doors leading to the grand Dining Room, Yuri gestured for the palace police to open the door and let the group pass. Inside the room was a lavish, large oak table set with a dozen places. A placard for each delegate was set on the table where each person would sit. The King would sit at the head of the table, as was custom in Pereslavl-Zalessky. Motioning for them all to take their places, he sent word to the kitchen to bring out refreshments, and to begin the final preparations to the meal they would eat.

"Gentlemen, I invite you to sit and dine with me. PErhaps we can then get down to the business of the summit, and forge some lasting relationships. All over some of our best meats and cheeses..." Yuri said, taking his seat at the table.

Kögler had the advantage that he was familiar with quite a lot of languages. That was the result of the Eiffellandian school system, wich put a lot of emphasis on language knowledge. French and Tiburan were already taught at the two highest classes of primary school, and these languages together with English were obligatory subjects at secondary school. Furthermore, these languages were obligatory subjects at the final exams of the middle and highest level of secondary school. Additionally, the first language of the country neighbouring the province you lived in was obligatory at secondary school as well (although not an obligatory final exam subject). Wendzieman was taught at the secondary schools in the northernmost province, and Russian at the secondary schools in the other provinces.

He seated himself next to the representants of the Tiburan Empire.

OOC: I presume that Russian is the most important language of Pereslavl-Zalessky.

Levisso kept to himself as he watched the other ambassadors talking. He hoped the refreshments would calm his nerves.

The Duke was known for having a sharp tongue, but he was very educated in his meetings. He has sitted next to the Tiburan and Eiffellander representants.

"This Rooms are are incredible, Your Grace! But I have to ask .. how is going Pereslavl-Zalessky in this times?" said the Old Duke

Kató remained silent and understanding in regards to the power structures in the room which made his seating arrangement even more symbolic as he sat at the other head of the table directly across from the Pereslavl Autocrat. He listened and waited for the King's answer to the Old Duke's query.

Smiling, Yuri replied to the Duke from Bangala.

"Things are going well enough. Our economy is still quite small, and many of the people here lack many consumer goods. They have enough food, but only barely." Yuri said, as he took a drink of wine from his cup.

"Actually, that is partially the reason I asked all of you here. I was hoping all of us could discuss possible trade connections between our nations."

He laughed and drink a cup of water.

"Well, in Bangala we have many farms and many consumer goods. If not we export our consumer goods our economy will ... You know!
We already sent a bit for Portusgalia ... We can put Pereslavl-Zalessky in the route"

Nodding, the 'Leader' finally joined the conversation,

"And in Carpathia we have many factories and even more industrial goods, I'm sure the three of us could provide a wonderful foundation for greater economic cooperation in an environment well-suited to the peaceful and progressive nature of our mutual governments." He was aware of the potential irony in his words but he stuck with them.

Overhearing the conversation, Levisso placed his glass on the table and cleared his throat:

And I am sure the Royal Bank of Cœurléon, as well as private Cœurlois investors, would be more than happy to supply your nation with loans and credits, Sire. And the Société-Généralé can also supply you with electric materials to help in building a strong infrastructure and industrial development.

"Well, it seems, Your Majesty, that quite a lot of countries are willing to help you out," Kögler said. "That is a good sign. Some people are willing to supply your country with food and consumer goods. Also my country is willing to open up trade connections with your country. But you say that your people would have 'barely' enough food to feed themselves. Would it be an option to let some of our agricultural engineers investigate your agricultural sector to find ways for improving its output? Maybe some irrigation works can do the trick. We also have two companies, Magirus Deutz and Raimer, which make agricultural machines, ranging from tractors and combines to milking machines. They can also send Russian-speaking instructors to your farmers to explain the machines. Maybe the loans from the banks from Coeurleon can be used for such an investment in your agricultural sector."

Kögler had already realised that this dinner would be a kind of working dinner. In such a situation, he usually wouldn't drink alcohol (as a typical Eiffellandian), but in this case he considered it better to drink at least one glass of wine. Luckily, the wine King Yuri served was good. He was still occasionally sipping on his first glass of wine. Sometimes a servant came to him to refill his glass, but then he smiled and said "нет, спасибо" (no, thank you).

"Of course I can also arrange for an industrial investment. But now I am overlooking the most important question while telling about the possibillities we have. Could you tell us, Your Majesty, what the strongest economic sector of your country is? Is it agriculture? Is it mining? Is it the industry? To help your country best, we should focus on its strongest sector and build that out."

The Duke drank some more of water and said:

Yes, of course, I agree with you Mr. Kögler, and I also want to to emphasize a very important thing in Bangala. "The Black Gold". We have many "Black Gold" in the Zwart Coast ... how we can use this? Your Industries?

"Our industries can use both types of black gold. The solid type we have ourselves, but the fluent type is something we have to import. I consider it better not to rely on only a few oil suppliers, so I think we can close a deal about that," Kögler said in a friendly way to the Bangalan Duke.
