The Lyric League​

The Lyric League is a multinational cooperation pact & council which has its origins in centuries before and has been renewed and modernized within each hundred years or so. Formulated originally in the 1450s as a method of defense greater than the no-longer fledgling Boreasic Compact, but also as a way for the Lyric (Celtic) peoples of Northern Europa to assert more economic, military, and political power throughout the world and to keep would-be harassers off of the backs of its basic co-signers.

Currently, it functions as a diplomatic body wherein the Lyric (Celtic) peoples of Europe may have their voice, no matter how small or disenfranchised in their home country, heard- and where issues which relate to those voices or the voices of the Lyric people may work in concert to solve these problems. While the League is primarily diplomatic and economic in function, military cooperation has also been paramount for hundreds of years, and is growing into an even more uniformed method of matters as it stands.

While unlike other international agreements, not simply anyone can apply to join the Lyric League, nations which have considerable Lyric populations may apply for associate membership- and those who have large enough Lyric populations and 'Carry the Lyric Culture strong' may even become full-fledged members of the League.

Currently, with five of the seven original tribes of An Lyr have memberships within the league, with an offer to Bantyr and the Carnish of Havenshire continuing, though the former offer is currently suspended thanks to the troubles within the North and the Bantyric War.
