The Imperial Government commends the Sixian Government's efforts to broker a settlement in the civil war plaguing Yujin. The efforts of responsible members of the international community are aimed at removing divisions in Yujin, while respecting the territorial integrity of the Empire of Yujin. This should show all peoples of the world, including the Yujiner that, the true threat to peace is the scourge of communism, which is set to divide the glorious nation and peoples of Yujin.

The High Kingdom of Ivernia hereby commends the Sixian Protectorate over it's noble attempts to create a ceasefire situation in a devastating war that has gone on for far too long and claimed far too many lives, supported by the Realpolitik campaigns of aggressors, both local and foreign, which only serves to benefit the few in exchange for the lives of the many. Sixia rises above this, valuing peace and non aggression over all, and the High Kingdom of Ivernia supports the Sixian Protectorate in it's quest for peace, and recommends that it turn a deaf ear to those who would try to quell it's stride and hinder it's progress as those are the words of the warmongers who only seek to return the profits of their destruction.
The High Kingdom of Ivernia hopes that the Sixian Protectorate ceasefire attempt is successful and that it's homeland and the good people of that region close the bloody chapter of civil war and begin anew with peace and prosperity.

There can be no peace in the East while the Xiang dynasty continues to reign over Yujin - the crimes of Emperor Qurui are simply too heinous to ignore.

It is depressing to see the international community laud an ostensible attempt by the Protectorate of Sixia, a mere puppet of Yujin, to bring peace. This is little more than an effort to see southern warlords rally to the banner of the Emperor.

We are pleased to know that there are countries that vocally support the ceasefire talks. As brothers to the Yu people, we will work hard to stifle the conflict between the two factional forces.

For the Vangalans, we are disappointed that your government decidedly labels us as a puppet state of Yujin. The Sixian people are sovereign and maintain its independent foreign policy. We are quite frankly displeased with your remarks. Nevertheless we are willing to overlook such accusations.

Second Round of Talks Begin
After holding the inconclusive first round of talks, the Sixian diplomats spent several days drafting new propositions for the second round. Both parties has been fairly cooperative in the first round of talks. The Southlanders have accepted what would arguably be very lenient terms while the Imperialists were able to settle Sun Daoshi controversial execution, the cause of the Southlander rebellion. Sixian diplomats have so far been pleased with the overall smoothness of the talks so far, but will not rest until a ceasefire can be reached.

Upon hearing Imperialist concerns, new inclusions were added to the list of policies to be adopted to a ceasefire. Sixians suggests that the Southlanders to suspend any past, present and future agreements with the General Zhao Yue. They also advise the Southlanders that if they have information on the current whereabouts of the General, should cooperate with the Yujin authorities on apprehending him for treason.

The mediators have not devised one, but four propositions on the matter of industrial (including Mezhist) resources:

  • The rightful return of industrial resources to Imperial Yujin
  • Utilizing the Southlander industrial backbone to help aide the defensive efforts of Yujin proper; recognizing that the Southlands is still an integral part of Yujin and thus a representative of Imperial authority
  • The previously mentioned proposal (B), but as a joint Imperialist-Southlander effort to split and utilize the pool of resources in Southland
  • The previously mentioned proposal (C), but the inclusion of moving threatened industrial sectors and resources from Yujin proper to Southland; recognizing the decreased level of threat in Southland from Hongmenghui and Vangalan incursion

Ceasefire Talks Breaks Down

Following the second round of talks both Imperialists and Southlanders stormed out of the building over disagreements with the propositions, a turn of events following the relatively diplomatic first round. Imperialists cited the official surrender of General Zhao Yue and his Republicans to the Southlanders were unacceptable, the reason for leaving the meeting. The Southlanders have remarked that they are willing to drop the talks entirely, a detriment to strengthening Yujin's territory integrity against foreign incursion. The talks has been effectively indefinitely suspended until Imperialists and Southlanders agree to further incremental talks. Sixian officials are disappointed by the second round but have not been discouraged from trying to persuade both parties for the third round.

Sixia Secures Oil Deal With Sylvania

With Carentania ships threatening to affect Sikandara exports, the largest exporter of oil to Sixia, the country has turned to face eastwards towards Sylvania for oil. In a deal with Sylvania, Sylvania will begin exporting oil to Sixia. While the Sikandari government has made securing its oil exports as a high priority, the Imperial Sixian Government is seeking to diversify its oil imports to be less reliant to be limited to one country. "This was eventually going to happen. It just happened now rather than later," said a Sixian official regarding the matter. The Imperial Sixian Government assures to the Sikandari government that a majority of the current Sixian oil demands will be met by Sikandari oil imports.

Economists say that due to the diversification of oil imports, Sikandari's share of oil imports will either stagnate or project a more shallow growth in the coming years. It remains unknown whether Sikandari oil will constitute the largest oil import in the unforeseen future, but barring any major change in Sikandara it is safe to assume Sikandara will remain as Sixia's largest oil exporter for some time.

The Imperial Government asks all parties to the Beishan peace talks to refrain from actions which may derail the efforts of the government in Jingbiao. It is absolutely essential for regional peace for all parties to behave in a responsible and mature manner.

Touyou States Mounts Pressure On Imperialists

With the ceasefire talks indefinitely suspended, the Sixian and Sikandari diplomats have been persuading Imperialist cooperation and calls for ceasefire with the Southlanders. The Imperial Sixian Government has reportedly requested the Sikandari assistance in pressuring the Imperialists on further talks with the Southlanders, citing their best position to convince the imperial government in Zhenjing. Reported from AP Jingbao, it is suggested in the report that the Sikandari are seeking to assert its representatives as observers at the proceedings, as some are losing their faith in Sixia's diplomatic leverage over the Yujiner civil war.

When asked about the plausibility of Sikandari representatives at the ceasefire talks, the Sixian diplomats commented representatives from regional countries are not ruled out, so long as Imperialist and Southlanders do not object. Officials commented that if foreign countries are involved, it would invite "neighbouring countries of Yujin" to the conference. It can be presumed that Vangala and North Seora will remain uninvited however, as both are at war with Yujin.

It is believed that the Sixian government will be withholding any invitations until they cannot settle down agreements between the differing parties within a reasonable time frame, much to the discontent of the Sikandari. Unlike Sixia, Sikandara has a serious stake in the ceasefire, as Sikandari troops are intervening in Yujin and are closer to Hongmenghui held areas. Should the Imperialist reconcile with the Southlanders it would help reduce the number of Sikandari casualties and lift some burden off Sikandari forces.

Sixia Purchases The AME-100 Shimmering Eagle

The Imperial Sixian Government a few weeks earlier authorized the purchase of 72 "AME-100 Shimmering Eagles" from the Aodh-Mór Corporation, based in Ivernia. This recent purchase will become Sixia's first jet fighter, the latest technological marvel part of the Sixian military inventory. All current and previous fighters were piston-engines prior to this purchase. Sixia is expecting the construction and shipment to take a little less than two months before all fighters are fit for flying, but even longer as pilots become accustomed to the Ivernian aircraft.

Despite the purchase of the aircraft, the government remains unsure of what to do with previous fighter planes. It is reported that a number of fighter planes will be most likely be taken out of service and stored as replacement planes or scrapped for spare parts. As it stands, both the the air force and navy have over 500 planes combined, the government does not believe it needs to exceed its current number of planes for its current needs.

Not all Shimmering Eagles will be serving either the air force or naval aviation immediately. The Sixian government has been heavily reliant on foreign arms for its military, citing a need to expand its own local arms manufacturing capabilities. A select number will be modified by the Suixi Aircraft Corporation as per the government's commission, hoping that future fighter jets can be based off of the modifications as a stepping stone.
