Under the direction of the Grandmaster of the Order of St. Basil, under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence, Nicosia is seeking 4 aircraft to replace its aging fleet*. The acquisition is under the terms of a lease to last 6 years. Included with the price should be training for 4 pilots and mechanics, and a discount price for parts (as it is a lease).

Aircraft should be of the Multirole or Fighter variant and must have a range of at least 1000 km without external fuel.

All competitors for the contract should respond to the Armed Forces of Nicosia (AFN) directly.

Having been intimated of the notice issued under the direction of His Excellency The Grand Master of the Order of St. Basil, this Commissariat is writing to his good office on behalf of several Serenien aeronautical manufacturing corporations.

Having seen the requirements of the Nicosian military forces, we have been asked to suggest the following aircraft for consideration:

Should the Nicosian Ministry of Defense find these aircraft satisfactory, this Commissariat is empowered to negotiate the financial agreement by which said aircraft would be transferred to Nicosia.

Moreover, to aid the decision making, evidence is attached herewith of performance reports of the said aircraft during hostile engagements against Eiffellander, Retalian, and Occitanian aircraft during the Seven Days War of 2018. We find that the evidence speaks for itself as the integrity of the jets and the training of Serenien officers.

Greetings from the Natalian Folk and Government,

The Federation of the Natal understands the importance of aerial domination in any defence strategy and since the 1980s, as a response to the Natalian Bush War that took place a decade earlier it has started designing a multi-role fighter jet that was able to support the operations of the NaDF especially in the extremely harsh environment of Himyar. The plane has been used by the NAAF in the last 30 years and has proven itself as one of the best planes designed for some of the worst environments to function in. In the last year, the plane has been deployed in the short conflict in Cabaon and in the Loagan Bush War and has a prestigious service record.

Thus, the government of the Federation of the Natal would be ready to lease 4 Atlas Cheetahs planes to the Nicosian government and it will provide quality training for the pilots and will liaison the Nicosian Government with the Hartnett Corporation, with whom we have an agreement for a joint production, together with Atlas for the necessary spare parts.

. The term "omnirole" would fit this plane better than the term "multirole". This plane was used in combat during last year's war with Serenierre; it managed to shoot down several Serenien planes, while no Fallwind was shot down by the Serenien air force. Unfortunately, this plane was not available in large numbers yet, because it was just being introduced when the war broke out.
The Fallwind is a very agile plane with semi-stealth characteristics and 14 hardpoints. It can be used in a.o. air superiority, interdiction, aerial reconnaissance, ground support, in-depth strike and anti-ship strike.
We can deliver this plane in a one-seater and a two-seater variant. This plane has a range of 1600 km (two-seater) to 1800 km (one-seater) without external tanks; this range can be extended with the use of Conformal Fuel Tanks (external tanks which do not take up hardpoint space).

Following careful evaluation, Nicosia has selected the K-130 as its next jet aircraft. This decision was not made lightly. It was made following the examination of each aircraft. Given our selection, we are notifying all of you and providing reasoning on our decision.

While the RRF Fallwind is an exceptional and extremely capable aircraft, Nicosia cannot afford the operating costs. Nor do we feel we can offer or meet an appropriate leasing price.

We further find the K-30 to be an aged airframe and aircraft. Therefore we are again concerned over the operating costs.

The Atlas Cheetah was a finalist, but again economic concerns were at the forefront.

We will therefore be purchasing 2 K-130 aircraft and leasing an additional 2 for a 6 year period.

We welcome the decision of the Nicosian military's selection of the K-130 light fighter jet. This supersonic variety of the fighter developed by the Vertille Aeronautics Corporation is capable of reaching Mach 1.4. Our own experience with the engines, that have been specially developed by Richelieu Corporation for this plane, has shown us that the efficiency of the engine as well as the maintenance is one of the best. As Serenien aeronautical engineering is a cut above the rest, our designs have a long established history of efficiency well beyond other traditions.

This Commissariat shall be ensuring the smooth procurement and facilitating the lease agreement, as well as the requisite training, armament, and routine system upgrades.

OOC: I just like the aesthetic of the Soviet/Russian jets. My air force doctrine is not as quantity over quality as the Soviet one was. I haven't had an opportunity to roleplay it, but technologically, Serenierre makes greater investments in the qualitative edge especially for its air force. ALSO: How much is deal for?
