Maybe you could be democratic-socialist like those Europeans who have nothing better to do than talk about how superior they are.

I'm not a socialist and yes we are superior. I mean have you heard of this Palin woman? Apparently she almost got voted VP and currently she is actually pretty popular despite being a complete idiot.

Yeah she had to ask what a vice president does. If she wins the election I am going to be pretty pissed. I don't absolutely hate all republicans... but honestly can't they get someone who actually knows what the fuck their doing??

Nominating Richard Dawkins might be a good first step to getting a sound policy going.

Obama ain't American either.

... yes he is. Everyone knows that Kenya is our 51 state. Also I've been trying all those other flags Fulani... and none of them look right. Maybe try to make it old or blue, take out the star from that american looking flag, or we can just wait and see if Tysk wants to make a flag... FIngers crossed.

I just found it artistically different cause nobody does banners like that. However, I made it while entirely sleep deprived and operating on caffeine. In other news, I am working on another one though.

Technically, democratic socialist is different from social democrat. The former tend to be more to the left with an emphasis on socialism, more intervention etc; whereas social democrats are probably what you're thinking of as most left of centre parties in Europe and elsewhere are like that with a greater acceptance (indeed full embrace) of market capitalism but just finding the need to rein in its excesses, help less privileged, some control etc. It varies from place to place though.

Personally, I'm more of a social democrat myself, but it's only one label I'd give myself-I'd also say I was a capitalist, extremely libertarian on social issues etc. I accept capitalism as a better way because tight central control isn't healthy in my view, personal initiative is better than hand-out, etc but I'm not a slave to capitalism's altar either because like all systems, it's far from perfect.

There's nothing wrong in "socialism" (it's nuanced like many other views), it's often approached through ideological blinkers. In America it seems to me to be attacked by people who really don't have a clue about what it's about at all. To them, it's some sort of evil to be rooted out and hacked to bits.

And yes, in my view, in some ways Europe does have "superior" qualities to the US- in my view these would be free-at-the-point-of-need health service (eg British NHS), less of a wealth gap between the richest and the poorest (though the UK falls way behind on that unfortunately).

And come on, no self-respecting nation would ever let someone like Sarah Palin within a mile of the presidency or any other great office for that matter. She really would be a disaster.
