    W. Engell Republic">@W. Engell Republic Can I ask you or the administration in general to either:
    • Edit the first post of this thread and add following guidelines so people can post a request?
    • Or allow me to post a new up to date topic in this forum or General Discussion - same purpose?

    Request an image

If you would like an image, post here, someone may do it for you!

If you are requesting an image, say a flag or a signature banner, there is a certain minimum amount of information which is useful to put into your request. Please feel free to copy and paste the template below into your post adapting it to your needs: i.e. adding extra requirements or suggestions if you deem them necessary.

An enthusiast may respond and take on your request. If not, please be patient nonetheless. People may also decide to decline your request due to technical difficulty or real-life priorities. Remember, the people providing the imagery do so on a voluntary basis.

    1. What kind of image would you like:
    2. Image size (in pixels, width x height):
    3. Detailed description:
    4. Elements/images the maker should incorporate:
    5. Elements the maker should avoid:
    For clarification:
    1. A flag; a coat of arms; a national seal or emblem; a signature image; a basic map; a resized picture.
    2. For instance, a flag design with the size 500 x 300 pixels indicates a horizontal display. A flag design with the size 300 x 500 pixels indicates a vertical display.
    3. Describe the general features of the design. Transparant background, borders, ... Whether the coat of arms should use specific shield shapes, have a crown etc. You also might to clarify the purpose or 'location' of your image (a newspaper header, a thumbnail for your factbook, ...).
    4. Provide image-url(s) if you want specific images/elements to be included. Additionally you could mention certain colours or effects or post images as a reference.
    5. The opposite: make sure if you don't want specific features to include your design: avoiding certain font types, colour schemes etc.

Salen can you please slightly shrink my coat of arms? I remember a few here complained my old one was too big. Can you also please slightly enlarge the centerpiece of my flag (eagle)?

Have you checked the previous version(s) I posted? =) The last one has been resized significantly. If still judged too large, please do express the actual height or width of the image. Otherwise you still might want to resize it again (which - not to be a nag - you can easily do yourself using Apple's free Preview app, Windows Paint or Adobe Acrobat).

Concerning the design centred on your flag: I will enlarge it a bit but I suggest the coat of arms does not surpass the white cross. Unless you really want to of course. =) The possible issue is that this vertical design defacing a horizontal field may look less appealing if the blue shield touches the blue background.

    Thank you for your compliments!

I don't have any of those programs I think. I'm pretty bad with stuff like this. It's gigantic. Yea that's way too big. I can just keep using the old one. Don't wanna keep asking.

Since you further did not reply to my questions/remarks =p , I'm giving you this:
    https://resizeimage.net

You can resize images to your own preferences and download them for free. =)

Doesn't work. No matter what number size I tried, %, etc, it just keeps saying "please select a smaller image size". Yet I resized it. I told you I'm really bad at this type of stuff. Measurements, spacial reasoning, etc. Always was. As a Poli Sci guy anything involving math usually sucks for me. The old one isn't THAT big. So I'll just keep using that. Thanks for everything.

I'd be much obliged if someone could make me a generic Arabesque signature. The country is based on the aesthetics of Morocco/Algeria.

The coat of arms of the Kingdom of Scotland? Is that an upgrade? You should use the skills of an artist to make new things in my humble opinion.

Not an upgrade per se. Not for Justosia anyway. And I'm bad with simple code. I'm no graphics artist. Hence why I'm here.

I think they're suggesting not that you do actual drawing, but that you do the creation, come up with original ideas, rather than simply borrowing.

As an example: a coat of arms, a shield with four quarters. Upper left and lower right are black boars on a field of green. Upper right and lower left are unicorns on yellow. On top of the shield is a golden crown.

I thought I was. That's an actual Scottish COA? Never seen it before. Got it off some game wiki page. I thought the Scottish COA followed the British design?

That had both symbols of Justosia & Occitania in it. Finding something like that again is probably not gonna happen...

The Red Lion Rampant on the golden background with the red border is the sigil of the Kingdom of Scotland from before the Acts of Union.
