Yea I also say nonante instead of quatre-vingt-dix. Also while there were definably cases of Flemish boys dying on the battlefield needlessly because they couldn't tell what the officers said the amount has been greatly exaggerated by the Flemish movement. Regardless indeed there was a great social injustice as the Flemish were (institutionally) discriminated. Today the Francophone Bourgeoisie still looks down on 'the Flemish peasants', but I do not dwell on the past. Fifty years ago I would have probably been on the barricades for the Flemish cause, which was primarily social in nature, but today I stand on the barricades against it because it is now right-wing nationalist in nature.

wouldn't it have made sense to seperate them into two seperate corps or even armies so they could understand each other then Brussels soldiers would probably be some weird german-dutch-french mix so no one would be able to tell what they're saying

Without going into it to deep, that would have not made sense in that historical context. Regular soldiers, Flemish or Walloon, knew the French orders because they were trained in French. The problem was that the drafties didn't as they were rushed through the training camps in a much shorter amount of time. And Brussels didn't have to be a weird mix because it was predominantly Flemish in that time except for the Francophone elite (which you had in every city). And last but not least we didn't have the German minority yet before and during WWI as we annexed it after. And even if we did, fuck em. I mostly forget we even have them, they just do as they're told.

Nice. I got the Jerusalem Kingdom going once, and got Melisende, Queen of Jerusalem with 3/3/3. Managed to have an empire stretching from the shores of Tripoli to the outskirts of Constantinople, even reaching as far as Ethiopia and on the cusp of having the entire Saudi Arabian Peninsula under my control.
