Burgundian National Congress lifts ban on dissident political organisations

Provisional Interior Minister Aerlene Busch has spoken in a press statement about the BPR's announcement.

" For too long the conservative defenders of the status quo have sought to silence the voice of any who dared to question them, we in the Burgundian People's Republic however do not fear beliefs and opinions different to our own. As such those the political party known as the Party of Candles will no longer be banned by the People's Republic and all of its members previously incarcerated are to be immediately freed and those members who wish to do so will be given seats in the All Burgundian National Congress, in fact any and all Burgundian regardless of political affiliation are welcome in the People's Republic, we represent all of the people of Bourgogne, not simply those we agree with.

. Brave men and women flock to join the Armée Républicaine Nationale and preserve Bourgogne from foreign oppression!

. Land previously owned by the corrupt autocrats in the " Kingdom of Neustria" to be redistributed to the people in the People's Republic.

Provisional Chairman von Goltz announces shock resignation.

Provisional Chairman of the All Burgundian National Congress Gustav von Goltz has announced today that he will be resigning from political office but will continue to serve in the ARN. It is expected that Provisional Foreign Minister Bertrand Murat will take on the role of Provisional Chairman.

. Provisional Interior Minister Aerlene Busch announces the formation of a new Ministry " the State Security Ministry". The result of greater cooperation between the Police and Interior Ministries, the SSM's function is " to better defend the Burgundian people".

. " This war is not just a war for Bourgogne but for all of Gallia, our very culture and way of life is at stake, all Gallians regardless of race or creed must unite". Provisional Foreign Minister Bertrand Murat.

The Republique Serazinist calls on the international community to pursue the cause of peace and to abandon the barbarity of war. The Burgundian crisis is a historical unraveling of the Gallian peace and is a serious concern for not just the immediate region but for the wider world. We shall continue to monitor the situation.

Be informed that the Republique continues to monitor the frontier with the Burgundian nations (be they Kingdom, People's Republic or Elbener vassal) and no incursion into sovereign Serenien territory shall be tolerated.

Moreover, the Serenien Red Cross, as a recognized humanitarian organisation would like this office to convey its desire to assist in any humanitarian manner it can. It is expected that all participants of the Burgundian crisis shall honour the status of the Serenien Red Cross Society as a neutral and independent humanitarian organisation.

"Ouistreham is to be a city of Martyrs!"

Provisional Chairman Bertrand Murat has declared in a press statement that the Armée Républicaine Nationale will begin a fierce bombardment of the city of Ouistreham. " While It is with a heavy heart that I gave the order, I would rather one city burn then all of Bourgogne, for all of Bourgogne and indeed all Gallia the city of Ouistreham must be martyred, and rest assured that in a hundred years from now free Burgundians will still talk of the sacrifice that the people of Ouistreham have made ".

We call upon our Gallo-Germanic partners to take note of the previous news notice from the Burgundian People's Republic. Ouistreham is to be "martyred" / "burn", Pillau is to be "evacuated", incoming international army 'peacekeepers' should ask what will it be martyred / burned next?

Disorderly conduct from contested Burgundy is being monitored ever so closely by the Combined Armed Forces of the West Engell Republic. If we were not present, would Hammersmith or Dulwich be martyred next? Engellachians are computing these queries, and keeping diplomatic channels open between international partners.

Peace at last?

All quiet on the front as all sides agree to ceasefire

Today the guns in Bourgogne has fallen silent as the Burgundian People's Republic and the Thaumatic Domain have agreed to a temporary ceasefire. Plans for a peace conference have been announced, with a location yet to be finalized, It is hoped that such a conference will lead to lasting peace in the region.
