PRIME MINISTER SUBMITS, PARLIAMENT RATIFIES DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST SOLAREN​

GEORGETOWN - This morning, Prime Minister Harcourt Mudd asked Parliament to vote on a resolution that is in effect a Declaration of War against the Kingdom of Solaren. Citing not only Urban's declaration of war against all members of the European Defence Federation, it which Guiana is a member, the PM also reminded those present of the rogues regimes past and present crimes against humanity in addition it use of WMDs in its attack on Guiana's ally, Lorraine, an attack done prior to Urban's own declaration of war against the EDF.

In less than an hour of debate, the full Parliament, with no decenting vote, ratified the declaration. As it is required by Guiana's constitution, the Prime Minister has sent the documentaion to the Prince Regent, as the head of state, for his signature. Though it is expected that Prince Cedrick will sign, his consent is not required, only his acknowlegement of Guiana's state of war is needed.

It was the corruption and total disreguard for the needs of the people of Aresura that was the reason for the downfall of the former government of Aresura, the military that was sympathetic to the peoples plight was just an instrument that finally brought about the needed reforms, reforms that the vast majority of the people of Aresura have decided would not be forthcoming by those representing the old regime and have chosen the Reformists to fulfill that duty.

I do have to agree with you that true Aresuri do not not bow to foreign masters, they do on the otherhand accept the aid of friends.... By the way, how long a leash has Nokanawa given you?

TO THE PRINCES, AND CHIEFS OF THE KINGDOM OF GUIANA​

I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Imperial and Royal Engellexic Majesty;

It has been remarked that should the Federation have possessed a single statesman of transcendent diplomatic abilities, capable of giving an impulse to the advantages of the position that many nations of Europe sought - prosperity and democracy - she might now command in Aresura, and take a very prominent part in every region of Europe, but it is perhaps precisely because she has not proceeded so enthusiastically to engage those that neighbour her that the Federation is now more likely to achieve only it’s own end.

If the Federation had attempted earlier to co-operate with the European Community and acknowledge the changing and ambitious views that have manifested, the Federation may not have roused the now jealously guarded regionalism now pervading Europe at the expense of the alliance.

In the attempt to play a cautious and prudent game, the Federation, all its members, have rather set the foundations of future Powers.

It is with those acknowledgements that Dulwich remains baffled at the over-extension of the Guianese Government in the Aresurai Affairs. The Federation’s influence is quite regarded as limited; the influence of a minor regional nation, Guiana, could safely be considered seriously undermined.

It is thus very questionable, and in the Engellexic opinion impossible, that Guiana, besides laying the foundations of further conflict for the Federation, can make any favourable achievement for Nurnberg in Aresura.

The conduct of the Foreign Minister of Guiana toward the Republic of Aresura is condemned. On behalf of her Engellexic Majesty I implore the Government of Guiana to consider a revision of policy in respect of Aresura.
