Experimental rocket fails again
Implarian Observer

Following repeated failure at previous tests, an experimental rocket of the Implarian University failed yet again. The rocket, which was part of the national space programme, followed the example of earlier models by detonating upon launch, in the process destroying its launching platform in the Implarian. While the explosion, once again, caused no injuries to personnel and scientists, the deplorable results of the experiments of the Implarian University and associated research facilities are becoming an embarassment to the whole of the Republic and public criticism of the space programme is growing, having achieved little more than costly accidents thusfar.

Ewans assaults President over Pelasgia policy
The Republic

Minority leader in Congress, Mitchell Ewans, has harshly criticized President Winters for his offer of citizeship to Pelasgian jews, arguing that a more proactive policy by the Republic was needed to safeguard the rights of minorities in Himyar and beyond. "Winters thinks he can just shelter the whole world within our borders and that will show the tyrants and slaveowners of Europe. I wonder, if it were really that simple, whether they would let their people go?" Ewans said during a speech in Congress and alluding to the crisis in Milesia, during which Winters initiated a missio to evacuate civilians that ended in tragedy and the death of 12 SWR servicemen. Ewans furthermore backed jewish claims to the Holy Land, stating his support for the establishment of a "jewish state in the Republic", a statement that was welcomed by the Zionist Congress.

Free Peoples Bank to build highest building in the world
Newport Post

The state-owned Free Peoples Bank has announced its intention to build a new central office building in Newport. While the exact design, as well as location, of the future skyscraper is yet to be determined, a spokesperson for the FPB has announced the Bank's intention for the new headquarters to be the "tallest building in the world". This would add yet another proud achievement to the long list of advances brought to our homelands by Socialism, while showcasing to the whole world the newfound wealth and importance of the Republic.

Department of Culture initiates exchange program with Jurzan
Global Public Broadcasting

The Department of Culture has announced a mutual agreement with its Jurzani counterpart to facillitate increased cultural understanding and cooperation. This agreement agrees a easing of travel restrictions - including a faster visa application process and simplified visa requirements for Jurzani citizens - as well as a state sponsored student exchange program. Furthermore, enrollment at universities in the Republic will be opened up to Jurzani citizens who meet the requirements. Chairman of the Department of Culture, Louis Debord, has expressed his hope that these will merely be the first steps towards a close and benefitial partnership.

Episode over historic mosque casts doubts on Lauenburger colonial policy
The Republic

A continued argument about the status of a historic mosque in Lauenburger Himyar has raised doubts about the quality of the colonial administration. The mosque in question, the Grand Sultan Besphmet Mosque, was marked for demolition by the colonial authorities after charges of political extremism against the religious groups using the building. This sparked international outcry, as many countries deemed the building a historic site worth protecting, ultimatively causig the central government in Lauenburg to interfere and overrule the decision of the colonial authorities. However, this decision has in turn put into question the legitimacy of the entire colonial authority and any claim to speak for the people of Lauenburger Himyar. Either the authorities there are legitimized by the people of Lauenburger Himyar, then the central authorities interfered with an autonomous decision of the Himyari people. Or it was not: then the nation of Lauenburg is to blame for installing tyranny over the peoples of Himyar and any move to replace the colonial authority with more centralized administration - as is currently considered openly by the goverment of Lauenburg - would not adress the problem at hand, that is the continued status of the land as Lauenburger colony.

Social Republicans want to banish billboard advertisements
Alliance Daily Times

The Social Republican party has lobbied local councils in the city to pass a ban on billboard advertisement. Advertisement of products to passersby has become obnoxious and morally reprehensible, the party argues in an official press release about the subject. Cooperatives and Syndicates have begun adopting manipulative methods imported from the slavestates throughout Europe to increase their sales, a policy the Social Republicans have deemed reactionary. "If people want something, they will buy it. If they don't want it, one shouldn't go around trying to convince them that they really do," the chairman of the local chapter of the party said.

Slaves from Engellexic colonies rescued in Clarencian Sea
Global Public Broadcasting

Sailors onboard of the SS Fortitude, a vessel of the Coast Guard, saved a group of five severely dehydrated men lost in a small rowboat in the Clarencian Sea. The Fortitude was on a regular patrol when it happened upon the boat in peril. After being rescued by the servicemen of the Coast Guard, the five men reported to have been slaves in the Engell colony of Mary-le-bone and escaped eastwards across the sea in hope of reaching freedom in the Republic. Officials asked for comment on the event restated the official policy of the World Republic: that the Engell human commodity market is a deplorable and anachronistic institution, that the Socialist World Republic will do everything within her capability to aid those enslaved in the Engell states and that runaway slaves who reach the Republic will be granted unconditional asylum.

First Minister Doux released from hospital
Alliance Daily Times

Greeted by a crowd of his supporters, First Minister Nicholas Doux was released from hospital today. The Minister had been injured in a car crash, a little over a week ago, when he lost control of his car on the Intercity 7 near Illumination. While still on crutches and visibly impaired, Minister Doux smiled and waved at the people greeting him and wishing him a speedy recovery. "I am touched by your empathy," the Minister thanked the crowd before entering a car to leave Illumination and head for his home and workplace in Alliance - this time with a driver, instead of piloting himself.

Baseball: Red Flag Ulysses defeats Zenith Westport
Westport Post

The latest baseball season was off to a rough start for our stars when underdog RF Ulysses sent them running for help in a match the Red Flags dominated so clearly that it raises doubts about the future of the Zenith. When a team generally considered to be one of the weakest of the league gives you such a beating, you should consider some consequences or you might be off to a rude awakening once you face off against the truly big boys. We all know that last evenings match was an inexcusable failure for Westport and perhaps that is why trainer Don Marcus refused to comment on his teams performance: there was nothing left to say. They failed and they fell hard. We can only hope that things turn around in time for the next match, as Pretoria promoses to be a hard nut to crack - and right now, as the Red Flags proved, Westport can't even crack a blueberry.

Crowd welcomes former slaves to the Republic
Western Observer

A crowd of several hundred people gathered outside of the city hall of New Tibur as the former Engellexic slaves who had been rescued by members of the Coast Guard in the Clarencian Sea arrived in the city. The five men, accompanied by officers of the National Police, applied for citizenship at the city hall and were cheered on as they exited the building, announcing their gratitude to the Socialist World Republic that had granted them freedom from Engell slavery. Speaking on condition of anonymity, out of fear of repercussions for their families in Engellex, one of the men told journalists that he intended to travel back to Mary-le-bone with his new SWR citizenship to bring his family to the free states as well.

Senator Dewey calls the President 'weak'
Alliance Daily Times

Alliance' senator Lucas Dewey called President Winters a "weak leader" in a public rally yesterday, claiming that the President failed to act appropriately in the face of numerous occasions. In the speech, which is largely interpreted as an attempt by Dewey to prepare a candidacy in next years presidential elections, the Senator cited a failure to back up the mission in Ivernia with force, his inaction towards Pelasgian oppression of minorities, as well as a policy of coexistence and even cooperation with the Republic of Engellex, despite the continued existence of slavery in the Engell states. "We've built this Republic to be a champion for the rights of free people throughout the world, to be a defender of humanity against theft, enslavement, oppression. The Social Democrats have forgot this mission, allowing our Republic to become complacent and fearful. I say it is time to take back our country and fulfill our duty to mankind," the Senator concluded his speech.

Free Peoples' Bank to invest more into aviation
The Republic

The Free Peoples' Bank, the Republics central state-owned financial corporation, presented its quarterly business report to the public this week. Within the report the FPB announces a shift of investment policies away from bolstering agricultural cooperatives towards backing aviation and associated industries. Explaining their decision, a spokesperson for the FPB reasoned that productivity levels within the agricultural sector are sufficiently advanced, while there are many innovative products currently developed around jet-propelled and civilian aviations, while these industries are also in high demand of capital. It is part of the official duty of the FPB to invest additional capital into promising or strategically important cooperatives, syndicates and state-owned companies.

MARY-LE-BONE
ENGELLEXIAN REPUBLIC

3rd October 1956

CABINET of the GOVERNESS of HENRIETTA LETTER to the GOVERNMENT of the SOCIALIST WORLD REPUBLIC,

I can not help but express my sincere satisfaction at what has been conceded by certain quarters of the public publications in the Socialist World Republic, namely, that the political character of Deliverence has been moved to be mindful of the blessings of peace that exist between the Socialist World Republic and her neighbours throughout Europe, especially with the much considered regard to Mary-le-Bone. It cannot be overstated enough how very little is achieved by means of war and violent confrontations toward the progression of free and liberal societies; even if disagreements persist on the definitions of a free and liberal society.

Without entering into the unnecessary details, there were particular observations which I must make on the subject of the Human Commodity System and Capital Duties, which had been made the chief ground of complaint against peaceable relations between the Engell State of Mary-le-Bone and the Socialist World Republic. The right claimed by Mary-le-Bone, as per the Constitution of the Engellexian Republic, on state sanctioned forced labour as punishment and deterrent for criminal behaviour was undoubted, yet it was at the same time liable to abuse. Mary-le-Bone has not ever disputed that, rather, the Henriettan assemblies belonging to the Engellexian Republic Parliament continue to regulate against such occurrence. But rather than observe a complaint on the miserable proceeds from the abuse of that right, it is simply observed that a complaint solely stands on the mere existence of Capital Duties, of which the Human Commodity System was established to efficiently organise, with absolute neglect of consideration of criminal history on the part of those persons the Socialist World Republic sees fit to recognise as in need of rescue and celebration.

No: the declarations against the Engell State of Mary-le-Bone, the strong passion for disagreeable relations, the settled aversion to co-operation and prosperity, the determined hostility to Mary-le-Bone originates not in the Socialist World Republic from genuine regard of human feeling and suffering, but the primal spirit of rivalry that has been found manifest within the arena of domestic politics belonging to Deliverance.

With our knowledge of the disposition of the Socialist World Republic to Mary-le-Bone, the Cabinet Ministers of the Governess of Henrietta, though still desirous of peaceable relations to the fullest, had thought it right to be not unprepared for any diplomatic escalation between Henrietta and Deliverance, and that instructions will be made for such preparations by the Governor’s Council and the House of Burgesses, as it has been reasonably assumed such an attitude as was consistent with the other interests of Mary-le-Bone, and the arduous contest of ideology in which Henrietta has been placed by Deliverance.

Given the economic duty yet still to be fulfilled by the five Capital Duties received by the Socialist World Republic, and given asylum, as per the judgement of crimes committed :- the Cabinet of the Governess of Henrietta is within its sovereign right to demand financial compensation for the economic injury committed, should the Socialist World Republic not return the Capital Duties to the custody of Mary-le-Bone.

Necessary applications have been made by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Henrietta to the Speaker and Keeper of the Governor's Council for the parliamentary permission to deliver official documentation of the five Capital Duties, received by the Socialist World Republic, and the crimes such committed to warrant punishment, lest the Cabinet of the Governess of Henrietta should feel morally obligated by any further crimes committed by such persons within the borders and societies of the Socialist World Republic.

Sir John Burgoyne,
Lieutenant Governor of Henrietta

As I am sure you know, there are numerous vices that plague the world. These vices have existed long before civilized society and will persist beyond the live spans of both you and I. However, few of these vices are more gruesome, more horrid, than that of slavery.

It is in recognition of this fact that I am pleased to offer my best regards to the Socialist World Republic, President Nathanael Winters, and the people he governs for helping to secure the freedom of former Engellexic Slaves. The openness of a people to accept, protect, and promote the oppressed of foreign lands into their own home is a trait to be admired. Certainly, it sets a standard that the world should follow.

On behalf of the Islamic Republican of the Jurzan, I am pleased to commend the Socialist World Republic on this action. Moving forward, I hope that the Socialist World Republic will continue to be a model for the world in the endless pursuit of freedom.

Sincerely,
Faraj Khayrat

Presidential speech on slavery in Engellex
Federal Public Radio

Fellow citizens of the Free World,

as President of the united six free states of the World Republic, it is a matter of pride for me to welcome those seeking escape from enslavement with open arms. It is a matter of pride for me to see our highest institutions of government and the whole arsenal of its defensive weapons to be used, not for oppression, subjugation and expropriation as in the remainder of the world, but for the protection of the rights of people born as free men but forced into thralldom by the plutocrats that have assumed leadership within their countries.

Five men had braved the dangers of the Clarencian Sea a little over a week ago, risking all they had left to reach freedom. And all they had left was quite literally their very existence, because all else had been taken from them. Their gamble would succeed. Their high stakes yeilded a great reward: freedom. Life in the Socialist World Republic. We welcomed them with open arms, determined to fulfill our socialist promise to five more brave men fighting for freedom.

They had been slaves to the feudal class that still rules over Engellex, just as we citizens of the Free World had once been their slaves. The rulers of Engellex claim that they are exercising their sovereign rights over their people in forcing them into what they named the 'human commodity system', believing to have found an euphemism for something that is very clearly named as such in calling it thus: slavery. Degrading humans to be a mere commodity, stripping them of their fundamental rights bestowed upon them by nature. Whatever charges the Republic of Engellex may have brought forward against these five men to justify their enslavement, they pale in comparison to the injustice of this institution.

So I call upon Mr. John Burgoyne, the Governor of Henrietta, who had demanded the World Republic to pay for the liberation of these five men, to listen closely. You have no more of a claim to the labor of these five free men than any of the robberbarons and plutocrats you call your peers. The entire Republic of Engellex has as much to demand from them as it has from all the hundred and twenty million people in the Free States: nothing. Any debt you may believe to be owed has been repaid thousandfold in advance when you and your ilk came to us common folk, bearing whip and sword, and took from us the fruits of our labor.

And I have sworn an oath to never again allow the likes of you to assume dominion over the free peoples of this earth, to defend the Republic and its citizens and to aid those deprived of their natural rights by tyrants such as the lords and ladies of the Engell Republic. The Socialist World Republic will continue to grant refuge to anyone enslaved by the Republic of Engellex, we will continue to be present in the Clarencian Sea to aid those seeking to reach our shores, we will not allow Engellex to treat those who have been granted citizenship as anything else than a free citizen of the World Republic and we will not treat this noble endeavour as anything that warrants an apology or payment to the aristocrats of Engellex. It is, in fact, you who owe these men apology and recourse.

Thank you

*applause*

Marshal of the Navy warns of arms race
The Republic

Marshal of the Navy, Calvin Smith-Simmons, has issued a public statement, warning that the buildup of military forces in foreign countries may force all of Europe into an arms race that may escalate tensions and provoke conflict. It is rare for military officials to adress the public directly and Smith-Simmons has thus given considerable weight to worries that had been expressed in Deliverance throughout the recent days. Behind the fears of an escalating arms race lie announcements by states such as Geotri and Huaxia, with the former announcing its intention to completely redesign its naval forces to enable the nation to "project power", while the latter is increasing its naval presence in the Kalahari Sea. Given these recent developements, Marshal Smith-Simmons urged the nations of the world to reconsider the need for such aggressive posturing and military expenses and whether diplomatic options have really been exhausted. "If current developements continue, the Socialist World Republic may find itself forced to likewise expand its forces and aggressively posture its fleets in the Implarian, the Clarencian and the Kalahari, just to keep rival powers in check," the Marshal commentend, while stressing that this is in no way a desirable course of action for the Republic.

President summons Saareeman ambassador over Loaga crisis
The Republic

President Winters has summoned the ambassador of the state of Saaremaa to discuss the unfolding crisis in the colony of Loago. While not disclosing details of the talks, the Office of the President stated that the President is very worried about stability in Loago and the wellbeing of its people, hoping to acquire additional informations from the government of Saaremaa and coordinating efforts to preserve peace and protect the rights and freedom of all citizens of Loago. Fears of sectarian violence and an aggressive political climate fueled by outside imperial powers had led to a crisis in the western Himyari territory which recently resulted in an armed coup against the President of the Dominion, with as of yet undetermined outcome.

Swallowman just swampgas, claims scientist
Oasis Daily

Henry Hammel, a ethnologist working at the Faraday College in New Tibur, claims that the local legend of the swallowman has been caused by swampgas. According to the scientist, dead plants and animals submerging in the thick Mangroves surrounding Oasis produce flammable gas when decomposing, which may lit up under certain circumstances when rising to the surface. The unusual and awe-inspiring phenomenon may confuse witnesses and the bewildered individuals invented the swallowman as an explanation for their experience.

To whom it may concern.

While we are not often in agreement with our counterparts from Engello-Socialist Himyar, we echo the Admiral's sentiment in that we, too, believe that a global arms race should be avoided, if only due to the global financial burdens and the increased risks of violent conflict such a prospect would entail.

"The Republic of Justiza and Islands would like to dissuade the SWR from enlarging its presence in the Kalahari sea, but most of all in the Parvae-Justiza maritime passageway.
The republic guarantees that no other military vessel will be permitted to access the area apart from the Lauenburgian and Pelasgian fleets which possess defensive outposts on the island of Justiza which can be restricted, if necessary, in a direct SWR-Justiza negotiation.
The republic does not possess any resentment against the sovereign SWR but will consider the failure to comply to the polite request as a clear and undeniable bellicose act."

"We would find the comments directed towards the South-Himyar Republic and issued by the Justinian Ministry for Foreign Affairs almost laughable if the situation was not as serious as it currently is. May we remind not only the Minister, Giancarlo Compagno, but the whole of Europe that it has been the rogue state of Justiza that has been destabilizing the Kalahari Sea during this entire year. Not only did it continuously provoke our fine nation by repressing the only legitimate political party withing the forsaken nation, the Justinian Marxist-Leninovist Workers' Party.

The rogue nation, much like a common prostitute, has also sold parts of its country to Pelasgia and Mehldorf so that these could construct and operate naval military facilities on the island. Acts which profoundly disrupted the Status Quo Treaty that maintains the delicate balance of power in the Kalahari. Only a rogue nation with no regard for its already limited sovereign soil would sell their lands to powers such as Mehldorf who have no rightful presence in the beautiful Kalahari Sea.

But did Marghêri's -and the like-minded regime before it- stop there? No. We remind that they went on to annex a handful of islands, profiteering from the weakened status of the Sultanate of Rashan like a vulture would do on a dead man. This shameless exploitation further destabilized the region since the island was now clearly aspiring to become a major political power in the region while openly denouncing the Status Quo Treaty. And to add force to its words the Justinian rogue regime has made massive military purchases the last year with a budget that seemed limitless, having many believe that other powers such as Pelasgia are really orchestrating behind the scenes. Among these purchases was nothing less then a modern, state-of-the-art aircraft carrier. This bombastic military spending, especially for a nation with a populating of just over 5 million people, has the sole purpose to provoke tension and potentially even conflict in the Kalahari region.

The Rogue State of Justiza, under the belligerent leadership of the duelling madwoman Giuliana Marghêri has no right to lecture anyone on the actions they should take in our region. A region that has remained largely peaceful, indeed not thanks to the Justinian warmongers."

Pelasgian Empire
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Public Statement

13th of October, 1956
To whom it may concern.

While it is understandable that a nation which can only perceive foreign states as vassals, puppet-states, or enemies would fail to understand the current state of Justinian foreign policy, we think it is best that we restore some sense to this debate via our interjection, if only due to the comments made in an indirect yet most obviously insidious manner concerning our Empire. With that in mind, we ought to reiterate the Empire's clear and well known position pertaining to Justiza: She is just like any other sovereign nation, as far as Her rights to her own sovereign territory and independent policy are concerned.

It is also our responsibility to point out that Justiza's choice to allow us to establish a base on Justinian territory, without ceding any of Her rightful land, waters, or airspace to us, was made in exchange for protection and a steady, considerable rent, which is more than reasonable considering Justiza's precarious position. We do not know of Lauenberg's motivations for requesting a base, nor for those of Justiza in granting them one, but possessing a base on Lauenberger Himyar, we can assure Kadikistan that the Lauenbergers are solely concerned with the safety of their colonies. Justiza's decision to increase their fleet is only reasonable for a maritime state, with great naval tradition; in fact, as any threats, including aerial ones, would come from the sea, due to Justiza's geographic location, the Republic's choice to purchase an aircraft carrier, while costly, is perfectly reasonable from a strategic perspective. Justiza has acted completely within the bounds of international law and the Kadikistani government should look to their own recent illegal blockade of the small insular nation, if they are determined to discover the causes of Justiza's focus on national defence.

The Empire remains steady in her determination to honour her pacts and treaties, whether they be with Kadikistan, Justiza, or any other nation. In fact, as recent events have shown, it is not the old, established powers and nations of the Long and Kalahari Seas, such as the Empire, Kadikistan, and Justiza, that seem to be destabilising it with extreme weaponisation, but newer, self-proclaimed "powers" seeking to assert some sort of influential role or dominance. Justiza has no such hegemonic ambitions and even if She did, She lacks the means to realise even a fragment of them. That being said, we believe that our states should further cooperate to ensure that the traditional peace and balance of the sea which contains world's most important maritime trade routes, as expressed by the Status Quo treaty, of which we are both signatories and to which we are both adherents, be maintained and respected by all.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT
OFFICE OF THE FOREIGN MINISTER

Honesty is a virtue, more often than not, repressed by nations in order to preserve a strategic, political interest whether at home or abroad. Certainly, the discussions occurring between Justizia, Pelasgia, Kadikistan, and the Socialist World Republic represent the epitome of this repression.

The Democratic Republic of Kadikistan, Socialist World Republic, and the Islamic Republic of the Jurzan are rarely, if ever, in agreement. This is a situation where, even if there is hesitation to admit it, our three nations are aligned along the same point. As our three nations are freed from the shackles of rampant capitalism – the system that has laid siege, exploited, and bastardized the rightful inhabitants of Himyar and Justizia.

Capitalism cannot survive in there is peace. Peace and capitalism are antagonistic and incompatible with one another. Capitalism has created the greatest insults to mankind: the colonies robbing the Himyari of their heavenly right to self-determination and the slavery running rampant in the Engell colonies. Until such a time that colonies cease to enslave the people of Himyar, true peace can never be achieved. The colonies are propped up by greedy, insidious capitalists. The capitalists buy their respective states to use the monopoly on violence to defend their financial assets from freedom. Therefore, until capitalism is destroyed, man cannot be free.

Pelasgia and Justiza have the audacity to condemn a naval arms race while they continue to monopolize the straights of the Long Sea and Kalahari Sea. Pelasgia routinely chooses to spend billions maintaining their armada of 13 air craft carriers rather than funding a robust education for their children. Pelasgia and Justiza criticize the free nations of Kadikistan and the Socialist World Republic for arming themselves while simultaneously negotiating treaties to dominate the world through force.

It is a shameful notion that the free, socialist nations must use the produce of the free worker to support an industry only meant to kill. However, until such a time that the capitalist nations of the world realize the error of their ways, there can be no peace.

Sincerely,
Abdul Bari Jahani

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE
FOREIGN DEPARTMENTS

D U L W I C H

OCTOBER 14 1956

2 PELHAM SQUARE,
DULWICH, GEWISSEX
ENGELLEXIAN REPUBLIC

The Council of State much regretted that the deplorable tensions that have been allowed to escalate in Europe have made it certainly impossible to have a fair discussion on the legalities concerning waters in Europe. The Council of State had not expected that the ideological crisis of Europe would have developed into the assumption of national ownership over waters extending from the Long Sea to the Sortain Straits so soon, nor did the Council of State believe that this assumption was to be asserted by the Republic of Justiza.

The present reality of European co-operation, or rather lack of, made it a very improper time to enter upon the discussion or assertions involving such momentous questions as this, violating, as it did, the rights of foreign nations, and, as the Council of State was informed, being directly in opposition to the opinion of foreign countries across all political leanings.

The effect of the position from Justiza, as it now stood, would be to give a jurisdiction to her Republic over all foreign ships seeking to use the Sortain Straits, whether they were ships of war or merchant ships the Engellexian Republic does recognise a distinction here. The principle of the law respecting the waters was that the jurisdiction of those waters belonged to the wide interpretation of the Freedom of Navigation, and that the Republic of Justiza had no jurisdiction there regarding.

Should the Republic of Justiza, and her allies within the Empire of Pelasgia and Lauenberg, be of the determination to establish the precedent within the twentieth century of assumption of sovereignty over distinctly free waters, the Engellexian Republic would be compelled to consider a re-address of its position respecting sovereignty of waters that it would otherwise recognise as international, and belonging to the rules of Freedom of Navigation.

The Engellexian Republic urges the Republic of Justiza to form a dignified retreat from her assumptions; and reminds her that the Engellexian Republic did not violate the Freedom of Navigation on the occasion of the naval movements made by Justiza through the Engell Channels.

As a neutral Power, the Engellexian Republic holds the official policy that it is the sovereign right of independent nations to expand and disband their armaments as they see fit and necessary.

LADY GEORGIANA SALWEY, DUCHESS of HAMMERSMITH
SECRETARY of STATE of the FOREIGN DEPARTMENTS
LADY COMMISSIONER of the COUNCIL of STATE

Foreign affairs ministry
Furzillo, Justiza

"The mentioned joint communication expressed with extreme clarity the polite requests of our nation: we discourage the deployment of a SWR military fleet in the Kalahari sea as there is by now a precarious but sustainable balance between the Long Sea nations plus Justiza and the large Kadikistan which would tremble with an additional power meddling in the situation.
We do not restrict any civilian trade nor claim any sovereignty over the sea, but need a safe passageway between the Parvae arcipelago and the main island, furthermore we offer our authentic promise that the nation of Justiza and Islands will play its cards to avoid any SWR rival entering the area so to keep it a neutral sector.
We nevertheless will reconsider our friendly stance with the above-mentioned nation if our request were to be rejected as the unity of the islands and so of all the justinians comes before diplomacy."

To those this may concern,

The intentions of the expansion of the Navy did not intend to appear threatening or to cause an arms race of any sorts, though I will admit it should have been reworded. We meant was with the increased threats at sea we needed to update and increase in size the Navy, more specifically the Merchant Marines. Which currently is not at numbers capable of trade with any nation of any size, it's expansion is first priority. I apologize, but the expansion of the Navy is something that will continue to happen in Geotri. We hope that this does not escalate anymore than what it should.

Signed,
Grand Admiral Franz Hersch

OOC- I didn't expect this to garner as much attention as it did

OOC: you rarely know what will, that's why it is good to just put out some RP, even if you don't think it's relevant or if it's just random flavor RP. Other players might always find something interesting or some avenue of cooperation they wish to pursue.

Also, you might want to apply for a mapspot. It's hard to interact with a nation that is, well, nowhere.

OOC: you can apply right away and are encouraged to RP as if you're already added to the map. Once you reach the necessary posts, you are then added.
