On the Faroes (Attn; Lots of People)

Un-Classified Communique to the Mezhist Union, the United Republic of Sylvania, the Popular-State of Beautancus, the Commonwealth of Andaluz, the Pellewburg Confederacy, the legitimate government of the Aurarine Republic*, the Provisional Authority of Shayamira, the Republic of Cathiopia, the Fennian Union, the People's Republic of Havenshire, the High Kingdom of Ivernia, the Grand Duchy of Potenza, the Kingdom of Dietsland & Erlandet, the Covenant of Cantignia, the Kingdom of Østveg; and most importantly, the local governments of the Faroe Islands, especially those in the settlements of the Town of Hokkerup and any of its rivals in the southern Faroes.

The idea of speaking secretly and in whispers surely applies to some peoples and some national traditions, but it is innately against the character of the AnLyric man and indeed in my eyes the character of all Celts; so I will not speak in silence and make my message go out in piece and parcel to the rest of the world which might have need to hear it. The current affair of the Faroes is one which stands far too high a chance to start war. Be it from the Hawks of the East, the Mezhist Union, the Hawks of the West, the Sylvanian Republic, or the Hawks of the North who have yet to reveal themselves- the threat to the peace and prosperity of the Thaumantic States weighs too heavy to speak anything but openly. If even one nation was to step incorrectly on this slippery bridge over war- we all could find ourselves tumbling into the tumultuous waters below and the people of the Faroes would likely suffer the most out of the entire affair.

It is because of this that I suggest that the every nation who has received this communique send a representative to CarrickAodh, where we will host an open conference to discuss the future of the Faroes, with the people of the Faroes actually having a chance to levy their voice- and without the posturing or threats of those who value prestige and 'valour' over human life and prosperity.

Concerned with the notion that Warre & Tyrculir might be too near and dear to this situation to host a neutral discussion on this issue, we must take a step back and gauge who is willing to trust CarrickAodh as an appropriate locale. Cantignia's chief foreign officer has been informed of this conference none the less, and shall be available if an appropriate delegation of Occidental nations apply themselves. We thank the Kingdom for considering us as close relatives of Sylvania and distinct races of this region, and sincerely pray that a genuine peace is reached.

Should the High King of Warre & Tyrculir support a group of individuals rebelling against the action of peace and stability that is empowered in my by the Constitution of the Republic, then the Aurarine Republic shall not engage in communication with the Government of the Kingdom until such a time that recognition exists in the proper government, not in a rebellion. It is a saddening notion that the High Kingdom would turn its back on a longtime friend in Auraria.

Though the decision on the Faroes should be decided by the continent of Zulia-Santander at large, such a conference should not be held in the Kingdom of Warre & Tyrculir, and if it is, the Aurarine Republic shall abstain. ​

The fates of Cathiopia and the Thaumantic have been united for several centuries now, and it is not the intention of the current government of the Cathiopian Republic to ignore the emerging crisis surrounding the legitimate ownership of the Faroe Islands.

However, it is our understanding that the honourable nation of Cantignia has already offered to host a grand meeting, featuring representatives from countries across the globe, with the bold hope to end all conflicts, not just one particular tragic incident.

Yet, if other nations of the Occident feel it prudent to adopt a singular approach in conflict resolution, and agree in majority to attend this event, then Cathiopia will be compelled to also participate.

While the Ministry of State condemns the categorization of this crisis as a morally grey conflict, it shall, at the behest of both houses of Parliament, send an appropriate representative to wherever a meeting may be decided upon; however, the Ministry of State would also recommend a location in a neutral nation rather than one who has a stake in the conflict and an ability to sway the discussion and therefor the resolution to their favour, whatever that may be. This communique shall be interpreted as a legal document affirming that any representative of the Ministry of State of Dietsland & Erlandet shall uphold any global legislation, as pertains to both diplomatic and civil law.

Having from the start of the Second Faroes Crisis advocated a diplomatic solution to this most unfortunate affair, the Fennian Union will gladly send a delegation to participate in this conference, provided that the main parties involved in the crisis will attend. The Union considers this as essential to any diplomatic solution to the crisis.

Due to the uncertainty of the military situation in the Northwestern Thaumantic Ocean, and remembering the negative example of the Nokakawa Massacre as a violation of diplomatic immunity, the Union government would like to suggest that the parties involved in the Crisis publicly guarantee the immunity of the diplomats attending this conference. On our own behalf we extend a similar guarantee.

It was already our intentions to speak at length on these subjects within the Friendly Confines which we see as a much more neutral forum for these affairs. It is our opinion that the fabled lands of Warre & Tyrculir are not suitable a location for such discussions, reason being, the past and recent speeches and publications railing against Sylvanian foreign policy. Such an atmosphere would only lend to muddy the sentiments of all parties who are involved and those parties who will force their involvement into this issue. It is funny to note that many nations still think that the Faroes Crisis will lead to war in the surrounding Thaumantic; Sylvanians ask why this is such a sentiment. While Sylvanians and Cussians alike celebrate the cowardly retreat of the Mezhist Union, others talk of a potential war. This is not so; the Mezhists are routed without the slightest hint of gunpowder spent, the Sylvanian and Cussian fleets stand triumphant, their last objectives to be carried out soon with the landing of peacekeeping forces to stabilize a chain of islands who have found themselves without a government in the wake of Danish collapse. While we shall attend this meeting, it is our stance that such a discussion is moot and rife with nations, who as I have said before, are simply attempting to inject themselves into an issue that they have no business with. Fear mongering such as this will not be tolerated, not from the Warreic delegation and certainly not from anybody aligned with Mezhist Union. It is our opinion that such time would be better spent discussing how OCCIDENTIAN nations will solve the OCCIDENTIAN problem that now faces the Aurarian Republic.
