FROM THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

It brings us joy to know that the Median Government has come together to resolve this political crisis through negotiations and peace as opposed to violence. It brings us great joy to know that the democratic process in Media is strong enough to withstand these political crises.

The Government of Free Occidentia is fond to see this political coalition form under the leadership of Alen Sidorenko and we wish him well in tomorrow’s election. We can only hope that in the coming years Media constantly relies on the democratic process and negotiation as the sole way to handle crises.

Also, the Government of Free Occidentia will not now nor ever support or commend an invasion by the Talemantine Government into a nation that is resolving its issues democratically. The Government of Free Occidentia will stand with Media if the Talemantine Empire enacts upon its natural, imperialist tendencies.

Signed,
Robert Hoffman

It is good to see that the institutions in Media are strong enough to solve disputes in a civilised way. I also want to stipulate that a Talemantine attack against Media would be totally uncalled for in the current situation and would do nothing but destabilise the region. In general, another Median-Talemantine war would do nothing but destabilise the region. We call upon everybody to keep that in mind.

Final Results of the elections::
After the final counting of the votes it is now clear that the Popular Front of National Convergence has attained an unparalleled majority in the People's Assembly in Median history. The Popular Front took 237 places of the parliament while the opposition coalition made of the Vanguardists and the Green Communists took the rest of 28 places. It is a great victory for the new Premier of Media, Alen Sidorenko, as such results were never seen in the history of our democracy.

While the elections in the Altaic Czardom where actually a fight between a liberal party and a conservative party which were alternation offering really no change or development of the state, during the National Republic, popularly known as the Hetmanate, the democracy regressed to a single party holding power, the Median revolution finally brought free multiparty election to the Median people. The Socialist Republic was always a defendant of the free elections but this this is a record of popularity. No one since the free elections never received more than two thirds of the parliament but the result clearly shows that the people choose the unite under a faction which isn't populist to be reelected but really wants to change Media.

We congratulate Alen Sidorenko on his sterling success and look forward to working with him to deepen relations and strengthen ties between the Median Republic and our own People's Republic. We hope that this expression of true proletariat democracy will set a precedent that will be born throughout the coming years, and by example encourage still yet more oppressed peoples to look to Council-Communism as the inevitable and ultimate solution to their problems.

The Grand Duchy sends her congratulations to the Popular Front for National Convergence on their electoral victory, and hope that this will not cause any rift in Potenzan-Median relations, in particular to the job building activities of her respective citizens.

War Crimes of the Zamosk War: A shocking account of Talemantine war crimes in Zamosk made in the ending stages of the 1944 war has come to light. A Zamoskan says that he witnessed the cold blooded murder of 400 Medians. Speaking to the Median daily Adevarul de Altaisk the Zamoskan eye-witness stated: "Ten busloads of Median prisoners, each bus containing 40 prisoners were massacred by Talemantine soldiers using bayonets." The incident, according to to the eye witness took place when the 400 prisoners arrived in the buses at the beach of the town of Asau from where they were to be transported by ship to Talemantros. At the same time, Talemantine soldiers were disembarking from another ship and when they found out who the prisoners where, attacked them with bayonets, slaughtering them on the beach. "From the prisoner's blood the sea became red" told the eye witness to the journalists. He goes on to say that him even if he was a Zamoskan he feared for his own life because of the wildness of the Talemantine soldiers. The eye witness who preferred not to have his identity revealed, stated that most likely, the prisoners were buried near the Hotel Marea Verde, near the town. According the the Zamoskan, the massacre took place in the end of November in 1944. This is the largest reported massacre to take place in Zamosk during the war.

Revelations of the heinous massacre of four-hundred Medians in illegally-occupied Zamosk are as damning indictment if there were one for the Despotate that rules it and the Talemantine Empire that backs it, and is ample justification for the Median government to be up in arms. An open sore in the body politic of Media, the news of genocide rubs further salt well and truly into this gaping wound.

Most of the world had already revoked, or refused from the outset, recognition of the Despotate, a crass excuse for self-determination and 'independence' even before this latest news came to light. This latest news, of innocents entombed in golden sands, should give adequate cause to sway the stragglers and the most reluctant to take a side to denounce the petty-statelet - a pus-filled boil upon Himyari peace. To us, it is clearer than ever that complete justice will never be incurred and the families of the fallen shall never rest quietly until the Despotate is removed and a thorough investigation alongside real reconciliation takes place under the auspices of the benevolent but pride-wounded Media. It shall certainly not take place under this Interregnum.

With this in mind, the Imperium feels more confident that the internal political changes within Media are a great advancement towards this goal of national reunification and the quest for truth, better achieved when all put aside their fratricide in favour of what all most dearly love. The advent of National Convergence (PFNG) shows the dynamic changes that are developing within the country. The green shoots of vengeance-free hope and a clamouring for the skies are clearly sprouting out of the blackened ashes of defeat.

Conflicts of passion will endure and dissent shall persistently rumble, but this can be left for another day.

Premier begins touring of the friendly states:: Alen Sidorenko left to meet with Premier John Walker of Havenshire. As Carentania, Havenshire is a great friend of the Median state and people and this thing has been shown when in the 30s, Median revolutionaries helped in the Havenite civil war. Media is also thanking towards Havenshire as the country was the first to support and recognize the Socialist Republic. Premier Alen Sidorenko is to meet with the Havenite Premier in the following days and then continue the tour in Danmark and ending it in Carentania. Sources indicate that the visits will be short as the Premier will be in Media in 25 to hold a speech in the Heroes' Square in Dara on the Revolution's Day.

Financial aid from Carentania::
As is was expected the stopping of financial aid coming from Frescania was a shock. The Median state is now gratefully thanking Carentania for their aid. With such tensions existing the people are still asking if there is a Himyar Partnership for Peace existing anymore. As with the financial aid before the People's Council ordered the improvement of the infrastructure in the Altaisk Oblast, especially in the desert municipalities of Arryni, Ulma and Sadova.

Sakibstan, an autonomous province:: After the Vizier Abbas Kader Hamami left the country and Ava El-Hashem was elected as governor, as she promised she made anything in her power to make like in Sakibstan better. The first thing for that, she agreed to be the incorporation of Sakibstan into the Socialist Republic of Media. Yesterday, the People's Assembly approved her request and Sekibstan became an Autonomous Socialist Province of Media, governed by the now General Secretary of the Peasant's Party, Ava El-Hashem. After this event, Hetmans Salehi and Tomaszewski agreed on the retreat of the Cherep and Yatagan Military ProNat Divisions from Sakibstan, with the Red Guards taking their place as defenders of the Sakibstani people. It is expected that by this move, the quality of life in Sakibstan will improve at a faster rate in the following years.

We are sadden to see that Premier Sidorenko will not be stopping by Frescania, one of Media's closest partners through the Partnership for Peace. While the recent Parliamentarian actions go against our foreign policy, we urge the Premier to reconsider the Republic as one of his stops.

As we still consider Frescania as a friend, it surely is on the list of the Premier's visits. But to keep with the tradition, the Premier must always be on Median soil during the Revolution Day. The time is too short for a visit before the day of celebrations, to visit all the countries and Frescania. For that we would like the Frescanians Premier's visit on the day of 27th.

Revolution Day

The people of Media celebrates today eight years of socialist prosperity and freedom from the dictatorial military regime. The Revolution is the most important even in recent Mediani history, because it proclaimed the liberation of the Median people from the Altaic segregated society. The revolution day is a day of celebrating freedom and of mourning the heroes which died for the people's liberty.

The idea of Socialism and freedom from the monarchist yoke came to the Median people in 1935, when full of glory, Aleksandar Vinokourov and his "old socialists" came from Havenshire as veterans of the Havenite Civil War, where they fought alongside the socialist militias. As they came in the Altaic Czardom, they began preparing for the socialist revolution. But, unfortunately for the proletariat, the army led by Hetman Roman Glushenko had another agenda. The Hetmanate was proclaimed when the army defeated the socialist militias and killed Vinokourov and Czar Dorin II.

This was the start of the so-called "10 years long night"; the creation of a military dictatorship where the Hetman had absolute power over the country. During those years, life in Altai was hellish, with the poor becoming poorer and the military superior officers richer. The Hetmanate began to shake when when the Treaty of Talemaniki was signed, giving the Zamosk regions to the Talemantines and ending with keeping 5 millions of Medians as hostages in the new Talemantine province.

In 1945, the revolution started after ten days of fighting the cities of Altaisk and Dara, the people declared victory when Hetman Glushenko was executed. The revolution is celebrated every year on the 25th of September with military parades. After the revolution, to show the world that the old Slavic-ruled dictatorships have ended, the country's name was changed from Altai, to the old pre-Kozak and Sarmatian migration of Media.

Ten thousand soldiers have marched today on the Hero's Square in Dara and another five thousand in Altaisk in a homage to the people's victory eight years ago. To keep the tradition, Premier Alen Sidorenko interrupted his tour to give a speech in the Hero's Square. Tomorrow, he will leave towards Carentania and in the end he will visit Frescania.

"Eight years ago, the Hetmanate was vanquished. A terrible cynical force which held an entire people hostage was defeated. For this, I want to thank everyone. This victory liberated the people and gave us hope that we can create a better state in which everyone is equal, a state where it doesn't matter of which ethnicity, religion or environment you come from," said the Premier in the speech.

In this day, the Premier also participates in a ceremony of baptism of the two Danish cruisers bought at the beginning of the month into PFS Aleksandar Vinokourov and PFS Marek Vynnychenko. Starting today and ending on Sunday 30, the government also prepares the second edition of the Golden Raven International Music Festival.

Speaking as one head of government to another, I send my congratulations on this special milestone that has been reached by the Median peoples as they continue to plough the furrow of honour and justice with an independent spirit.

This should be a happy and proud day and we sincerely hope that the festivities surrounding the celebration of the Twenty Fifth of September, Revolution Day, serve as a reminder from whence Media has come and whereto it will travel with all the lessons that involves.

I am personally proud to state that the friendship fostered between Medians and the Great Danish has reached a level of depth and openness from merchandise to military, politics to peoples, never seen before this time at an enhanced period of bilateral calm but with the constancy of regional troubles as a back drop.

We know that the end is not in sight yet for the Median peoples and there are likely tough times ahead. Indeed, the national family is not wholly reunited as it very much should be which is a test for the future. How the Medians deal with this event and the other challenges to it nearby will be proof positive of what and who they are. But we should not be inconsolable and hail the fruits of the last eight years - refusal to be crushed under the weight of insular reactionism all too familiar across the globe's socialist nations, national economic resurgence, emergence from the shadows of oppressive entities, the thriving of a complex national scene, and a boosted national self-esteem that should stand the times.

I have no hesitation in saying that the Dano-Median relationship shall plough through the choppy seas of adversity for many years to come.

In salutation,

The Socialist Republic of Media officially declares its neutrality in the conflict. The People's Council declared that they were expecting some sort of conflict to arise in Boliatur after the military coup led by Khan Dorjsurenkorolijav, as the people of Boliatur would fight for their freedom, but were shocked to hear that the conflict escalated into a war between the Sarmatian Superpowers. The People's Council also would like to congratulate Eiffelland for abandoning the folly of waging an imperialist war.

The People's Assembly also stated that the Socialist Republic, alongside Carentania will do whatever necessary to help the Boliaturan people come out of the impasse and we hope that the faction which will win in this conflict will do whatever necessary to help its people. The aid will be sent to the Jurchen Republic and then to Boliatur, on ships full on canned food, clothes and some fuel. The People's Council Stated that Media will fight it own war, a war against the sufferings of the Boliaturan people.

When asked what he comments about the Danish declaration of war against Miroslavl, the Premier stated that "Danmark was and is a traditional ally of Media, but we must ask them to stop this until innocent lives start suffering from this." There are also rumors saying that the People's Liberation Army are preparing alongside the Military ProNat a volunteer corp which will make sure that the aid will be equally distributed to the people.

In other news::

World:: Reactionary Agderike wishes the Socialist Republic gone from the European Trade Pact;

The beginning of the rainy season

Many people rejoice today as the rainy season has started with storms in Altaisk and the Riff six days before the official calendar beginning of the season. The rainy season is seen as a period of prosperity of the agriculture sector of the Median economy after six months of drought. For more than two thirds of the people living in Riff, the beginning of the rainy season is their salvation, as in many regions, irrigation systems haven't been built and because of that, they try to make a living from what they earn during the wet season. As the rainy season last year had lower precipitations than average, it was believed that the state would need to step in and help them giving supplies. As the season has started, the government has taken out this project from the priority list, but the situation will be closely monitored to intervene if the Uroduan peasants worsens.

As the precipitations have started, it is expected that such storms like the ones which hit Altaisk and Tirgu Ier last night to intensify and multiply and with them, the Ier to begin its yearly flooding. The Administrative Commissariat of Tirgu Ier have issued warnings and if needed will intervene to help peasants evacuate the two islands, north and south of the city, called the Dridu Pond and the Alesd Pond respectively. The two islands, are traditionally known to be completely covered by water when the rainy season starts and the Ier floods, transforming them into two large lakes.

For fortune and a flood without incidents and for the creation of highly fertile areas, many Diagists went to the temples of Kysa, the goddess of the Ier to give her offerings, usually made of olive and aromatic plant twigs, such as mint, sage or lavender. In Diagist mythology Kysa is the one who rewards the people by starting the rainy season and creates the Ier floods to give the people highly fertile areas. She is presented in a continuous conflict with Seker, the god of the desert and drought.

Other News::
National:: The Danish forces leaves Media. The People's Council says that this way is better, as it isn't good to host soldiers of a belligerent state.
World:: Jurzani president takes a clearly anti-socialist approach. People's Council concerned.
Economic:: The Commissariat of Economy announces the creation of three thousands new jobs in the Dara Arsenal.

The Ier floods
As it was normal in the winter, the river Ier has started its annual flood. It is an important thing for the economy of the Dara Krajina, as it creates on its floodplains one of the most fertile soil in the world. The region is historically the bread basket of Parthia and it is also an important wealth bringer as much of the agricultural produces are sent to export, notably this year, the main importer of such goods being the People's Republic of Havenshire.

The People's Liberation Army had to intervene in a number of villages in the coast of the Ier, as the debit of water exceeded all expectations and flooded the villages in the eastern bank of the Alesd Pond. There are around 130 families which will now be moved into refugee camps in the north-east on the city of Tirgul Ier. It is for the first time in 43 years that the Ier's flood is so big that villages are affected. The City Council declared state of emergency for another 10 villages on the western and eastern banks of the Ier and the Alesd Pond.

People's Council grants asylum
At the last meeting, the People's Council have agreed to grant asylum to every citizen from Talemantros who is oppressed by the White terror which is unfolding in that country after a popular revolution which was suppressed with the force of arms by the reactionary Imperial Army. The aftermath of the failed revolution was a white terror in which the oligarchic leaders have fooled the mob and the people into believing that everything wrong in this world is because of the existence of socialism.

Through this move, the people of Talemantros have missed an important step in the evolution towards the perfect society in which everyone has equal chances even if he is born in a former wealthy family or if he is born in a simple family. Talemantros has seen with this a decline of enlightened minds who see that the only way of evolution is by striving to achieve complete equality.

To help the Talemantine people, the People's Council have agreed on voted that granting asylum to those men and women is necessary. The people of Talemantros have been fooled to think that their emperor can do anything for them while he actually is just the thing which makes Talemantros to stagnate and stop its evolution.

"Its an important step. We must protect free speech and for that we will grant asylum to every writer to simple man and help them to fight for their society. Now, the Talemantine people are held prisoners in their own country by their feudal and mezhist leaders. We must help them break their chains and liberate themselves." Commented Premier Alen Sidorenko.

[SUP]HØJ SUVERÆN AMBASSADE
[/SUP]DEN KONGELIGEHOF SANKT ANSGAARD TIL REPUBLIK PARTHERRIGET

The Realm understands and comprehensively respects the position of Partherriget towards the illegal occupation of Zamosk by a foreign power. In this, I am composed of sincere desire and expectation that this will remain one of many struts to the bilateral relationship between my country and that of the Parthians.

However, as the High Sovereign Envoy to Partherriget, I am concerned as to the potential harm to the Kongelige Danske Marine resident in Dara if the dispute reaches crescendo and I seek an assurance that all efforts will be brought to ensure this eventuality does not come to pass.

The Ninth Jutish Division remains in situ and with one-score and twelve troops, or thirty-two thousands in common parlance, it is readily prepared to defend the Parthian peoples and national integrity from extra-territorial trespass and malignancy.

On further issues, my superiors in the Foreign Ministry have indicated to me that there is an expression of desire to assist your country in the prevention of devastation due to the annual flooding of the Ier River and the calamity it brings to the ordinary folk along its banks.

My country has a long history of land-reclamation and stemming the resurgent waters of major rivers, something that was delivered with great fortune some two-hundred-and-fifty years or so in and around our major port city of Fredrikshavn and the low-lying basin of Pommerania without which that city would be inundated with alpine flood waters.

As such, there is an indication that my government is prepared to assist in the construction of canals and levees, alongside dredging the Ier River, as a method with which to calm the mighty Ier and preventing the yearly suffering of the Parthian peoples.

Upon benign declaration and friendship,

The 25th of September Factory presents their first diesel locomotiveThe People's Council protests against the move of the Sikandaran governmentArmy intervenes in the city of Tirgu Ier
The efforts of the workers at the 25th of September Factory have shown important results, as the workers have listened to the plea of the Peasants Party that the Parthian Socialist Republic must progress. They have presented the delegates of the General Secretariat of Industry and Transports with the prototype of the 060-DE locomotive. The locomotive is made for standard 1453 mm gauge and uses a powerful 2100 horsepower diesel engine with electric transmission.

The delegates from the two Secretariats were pleased and is already rumored that the CFP, the Parthian National Railway Company has already ordered 10 such locomotives. Parthian engineering has reached a new level with the creation of this locomotive, as in the future there will be no need for importing rolling stock and the buying of spare parts at expensive prices from other countries.

"In the continuous need of progressing we have achieved a new level. The Secretariat of Transport has agreed that modernizing the rail transport is the most important step in improving the infrastructure of the republic. In an agreement with the 25th of September Factory, the CFP has agreed to scrap all their steamers and to replace them with diesel and electric locomotives made by the factory." Commented Premier Alen Sidorenko is a press conference.
In a press conference, the People's Council have vehemently protested against the edict issued by the government in Sikandara. The People's Council is shocked by this dictatorial measure and finds it inhumane to apply it.

The lack of freedom of idea which this edict will create, will result in a breeding ground for inhumane ideologies like fascism, mezhism and other extremist ideologies like ultranationalism.

We, as a democratic state with socialist principles are saddened by this move of the political class of Sikandara and we support the Labor Party in their endeavors.
As the water is continuously rising, the People's Liberation Army intervened in the city of Tirgu Ier to help avert what seemed to be a catastrophe as the water was approaching to the outer neighborhoods of the city. The citizens, with the help of the soldiers have constructed a series of embankments at the shores of the Ier river inside the city to prevent the flooding, the pre-existing ones being heightened.

To protect the city, efforts are being made to change the course of the river so that a part of the water will flood the plains to the south-east.

Decentralization Law reenters in debate status

The Palace of the People's Assembly witnesses one of the biggest changes in Parthian history

Premier Alen Sidorenko shocked today many of the members of the People's Assembly when he addressed the Assembly and asked for the continuation of the debate of the Decentralization Law. Most of the members for the Front of National Convergence were pleased and showed to be supportive of the law and eager to see it voted and transformed into an amendment of the constitution.

On the other side of the barricade, the parliamentarians from the Vanguardist and Green Communist political factions have continuously denigrated the law said that if the people would make the mistake of agreeing with it, it can destabilize the country and in the worst case it can lead to weakness which would be an invitation for the Talemantines to invade or even Krajinas declaring complete independence.

The Decentralization Law was first put together by the first Premier of the Socialist Republic and Supreme Commander of the People's Liberation Army and Military ProNat, Hetman Iwan Sidorenko. He written the law in 1946 with the intention of changing the constitution in 1950 and to create what would have been known as the Parthian Union. Writing it, he cited the need of the Krajinas to autonomously govern themselves as a need to reach the next step in the evolution of the free and equal socialist state.

The law was received in 1946 with applauds from the rulers and inhabitants of the Dara and Fieni Krajina, while the Altaisk and Riff Krajinas were vehemently rejecting it. Dara was and still is the richest region in Parthava, is also the region which brings the most money into the national budget, they called for autonomy since the beginning of the current century, as they believed that Altaisk was holding them and delaying their progress and development. The problem continued into the Hetmanate Era and continues even today in the Golden Era.

Presenting the law, Comrade Premier Alen Sidorenko have assured the parliamentarians that each Krajina will receive enough funding to develop but it will also receive funding proportional to the size of the population living in the territory. Because of the majority of the parliamentarians representing the Front of National Convergence, the law will be accepted and in the weekend a referendum will take place to see if the people agree on the decentralization. Political analysts have already predicted that the administrative decentralization will take place, because it is expected for people from Dara, Fieni and Riff to support the idea of local governments rather than a centralized one situated in Altaisk.

Opposition creates centralized faction, calls to protest.
People's Assembly voted "yes"

The idea of decentralizing the republic came as a shock after the initial presentation. The people of Parthava have divided in two camps, the majority supporting the idea and the opposition, led by the Vanguardist Political Faction and the Green Communists being against it. The law, written in 1946 was acclaimed by the people in the Dara and Fieni Krajina while the people from Altaisk seemed hostile regarding it.

To fight against what they find to be a "nation destroying" law, the Vanguardist and the Green-Communist Political Factions have united today to create a centralized political faction called "The Ploughmen's Alliance".
