First government formed
President Hun Mochhai announces formation of the first government

North Na Treng - President Hun Mochhai ordered a presidential decree appointing the first government of North Ratomkira, the name branded to us by the international community. The decree appoints the KKP's secretary general Padrum Sahui as the Minister of Internal Affairs and Mochhai's right hand man Heng Namsolitsu, as Minister of External Affairs. The long awaited formation was announced by the People's Presidential Office several hours ago. Although the new government includes many veteran KKP commanders and political leaders there has also been given room for the many upstarts, willing to do everything for their socialist fatherland. This gives the KKP's top military leadership the chance to continue their work as the wise commanders of the People's Revolutionary Army and the recently formed People's Revolutionary Air Force. For the first time in Ratomkiran history there is a government that includes no less then four women ministers. And for the first time since the Vangalan communist revolution there is a successfully formed socialist government in our continent.

Although our communist government has fewer ministerial posts then the military dictators of the South, a spokesperson for the KKP said that the formation of twenty-one ministries was unnecessary, considering the financial position. "Our people's government will simply work harder and more efficient. But rest assure those who are given additional tasks and thus additional powers will be closely monitored by our leader, President Mochhai to make sure everything that is done is done for the good of the Kambudjan and Lanxangese equals.", the spokesperson said. Reaffirming that unlike the dictatorship in the South, this government is formed by and for the people. It was also stated that once our starting economy is well on its legs, the powers will be redivided according to the wishes of the working class and the peasantry via a democratic election. Efforts to boost the economy, such as the nationalisation of all controlled territories, equally dividing of the land and seizing of the bourgeois wealth, are already in motion and are expected to bring our new nation into an era of prosperity.

The Kingdom of Belmont does not recognize the KKP as the true government of Ratomkira. I see nothing but the names of terrorists in the list presented as the "People's Revolutionary Government". This action has made us realize the full magnitude of the problem in the country.

Belmont offers its full support to the Kingdom of Ratomkira (South Ratomkira) and we urge the government to deal effectively with the terrorists exerting illegal control of the north.

We recognize the revolutionary government as legal interim government and wish our comrades in Ratomkira good luck

Furthermore we protest the insulting remarks made by Belmont and condemn its support for an oppressive LFS government. The words of the Belmonti government are threatening the recent improvements made in Belmonti-Carentanian relations.

It is truly hard warming to see that solidarity and comradeship still exists in this capitalist world. It was with much pleasure that we received formal recognition of a second state. Our most sincere gratitude goes to the nations of Gorno-Altai and Carentania, true bastions of freedom and equality.

We continue our plea for international recognition and diplomatic pressure against the South.

Anarchists in Phroum, our friends or our enemies?
Phroum remains in chaos as anarchists riot, loot and occupy factories

Phroum - People of Ratomkira and Europe, despite what the southern government might have informed you the situation in the capitalist occupied territories is far from under their control. Although most of the demonstrations have been repressed in the southern cities, resulting in the deaths of over one-hundred protesters, their enclaves in the north are still under siege of the people. In one area specifically the military dictatorship is having a hard time to put down the uprising of the workers and peasants. That area is the city of Phroum, the third largest city of the Revolutionary People's Republic. A city which, like many others, has become the scene of a battle by the military and their police lackeys against the will of the people. However unlike most other places it are not only communists who are taking up arms against the oppressive murderous military government. There are in fact three factions giving all they got to achieve dominance over the strategically important area. The third faction being anarchists of several kinds, individualists from the ' ', collectivists and syndicalists from the, by the former government declared, illegal unions.

Anarchism has long been popular in that area. Nearly four years ago the 'Federation of Northern Farmers and Workers', commonly known as the 'Five Villages', was established after years of fighting a guerrilla war with the military in the jungle. Although there where many ideological and even several territorial conflicts between communists and the 'Black Flag Army' (the anarchist militia), which on six occasions led to casualties on both sides, KKP commanders have apparently always somewhat respected their fellow combatants. Lon Paktun, a former KKP commander who was recently given the rank of General in the new Revolutionary People's Army, took some of his valuable time to talk to our news agency. "We must at all times be aware that the anarchists and most importantly the very radical Black Flag Army can turn against us. While there has been an agreement between our two groups, we can not allow a new counter-revolutionary force to arise from all this.", referring to the agreement that the KKP would leave the Five Villages alone if their freedom fighters where allowed to take shelter, food, water and other supplies whenever they needed it. An agreement which has continued to exist unofficially for the last three years. General Paktun however also said: "There is a way both our groups can live together. If the anarchists do not get too greedy and allow us to take Phroum, should a war between the north and south erupt, we will even allow them to become part of the city's new leadership. The anarchists must understand that it is because of us that the Five Villages still exist."

The fact that makes Phroum such a strategically important city is because of its location and rich resources. Phroum lies at the foot of Hi Sun mountains, the mountains that separates North Ratomkira from Jizhou and Tenzing, and is the starting point of nearly all important mountain paths. It is said that whomever controls Phroum, controls the Hi Sun. Should the self-proclaimed Council for Democracy and Justice choose for war, Phroum must be taken fast, if not it would mean a terrible blow for the revolution. The area in and around Phroum contains much wealth, which is necessary if our new free nation is to stand on its own two feet. That is also while many within the KKP believe that the anarchist riots and bombings in the city should already be considered counter revolutionary, as all that is currently being destroyed will only benefit the military in the long run as the working class and peasantry will have to rebuild instead of finally reaping their years of slavery. The question on what to do with the anarchists remains undecided, friends or foes.

The main southern media outlet is refusing to give their people any information about the situation in Phroum. But although they are doing everything they can to stop information from leaving the cities, we will try and give you the news.

It is Carentanias firm belief that the new, progressive Ratomkira has enough room for differing opinions as long as they strive for freedom and equality - something the Anarchists, as much as there may be disagreements on specific issues, definitely do. We are confident that the Revolutionary Government can come to some kind of agreement involving autonomy or another form of a mutually agreeable solution for the "five villages" region.

Southern provocateurs kill nine Revolutionary Guards
Situation becomes more tense as nine soldiers are killed near the border

Da Mei - First blood has been drawn by the southern dictatorship. Earlier this morning nine members of the newly established 'Revolutionary Guards', the elite forces of the People's Revolutionary Army, where slaughtered after their patrol was taken under fire by the Royal Army. The platoon sized patrol, fourteen soldiers strong, was doing a routine check on the border and was, according to eyewitnesses and a spokesperson for our great nation's leaders, well on our side of the border. Although that can easily be disputed by the southern government as they do not recognize our sovereignty and thus also do not recognize our borders. A mistake that we fear will cause much more unnecessary casualties in the future and is highly counterproductive for re-stabilizing the region. We have been informed that the southern government has dared to deny the fact that nine brave freedom fighters where killed by their disloyal and corrupt 'soldiers'. Even when, according to our sources, at least three enemies where killed.

While the exact circumstances of the border clash remains mostly unknown, it is clear that it all took place around 8 AM this morning. Apparently only one of the fourteen-heads counting platoon survived the ambush without a scratch, being able to tell the story as four of his comrades have been rushed to the nearby hospital in Na Treng for free medical care, their situation has been stabilized for now. From what the lucky elite soldier, elite since the Revolutionary Guards is made-up out of hardened veterans of the KKP, said to his superior commanders it appears that the ambush was carefully planned. Indicating that the Council for Democracy and Justice or at least some elements in the military government are attempting to escalate the situation and draw our nation into a full scale war. While we are convinced that an attack from the south would eventually only further the revolution, our leaders wish to spare this war torn nation from more bloodshed and rebuild instead of destroy. Another factor that our new socialist state should constantly consider is the highly likely possibility that the southern dictatorship would receive a large quantity of military assistance from their fellow League of Free State capitalist/fascist dictatorships. For this not only our government and military should prepare itself, but also every last civilian that walks on these liberated lands.

But although further preparation are essential, a clear message must be send to the south and Europe, saying that North Ratomkira is far from weak. It is in fact becoming stronger every passing minute. Recruitment levels are at an all time high, weapons and supplies are pouring in from allied countries and for the first time in just over ten years of Ratomkiran history our economy has stabilized, a rise is expected soon. Additional security measures have been taken such as the foundation of the first Revolutionary Police and the organizing and arming of the People's Militia which is expected to have over one million members. Our leader, President Hun Mochhai, is said to be very happy with the ever increasing strength and protection that our armed forces are providing. Meanwhile the more radical faction of the revolutionaries are saying that, in order for the communist uprising to spread, a war must be instigated. And also that since, according to them, war is inevitable it would be best for the People's Revolutionary Armed Forces to take the initiative, not allowing the enemy to fortify their positions and perhaps even plan their invasion any further.

Socialist economy a fact
Economy fully stabilized with much promise of growth

Na Treng - Earlier today our nation's revolutionary government has informed us that the socialist reforms, that started after the declaration of independence, are completed. Minister of Interior Padrum Sahui, former general secretary of the KKP, personally made the news public. "We have successfully turned our new nation away from the slavery that is free market and fully adapted centrally planned economy. This marks the beginning of a new era of equality and economic power." The news is highly remarkable considering that many thought that the transit from capitalism to socialism would take more time, today being only the 17th day of the Revolutionary People's Republic's existence. Minister Padrum Sahui said that the quick and effective reforms where possible due to two main factors, the first and most important one being the people's overwhelming support for the changes and the revolution. The second reason for its success being the fact that most of the areas that where claimed by the Revolutionary People's Republic where already under KKP control and where already de facto under a similar system.

With the reforms finalized many changes have been made to improve life for both Kambudjans, Lanxangese and even the smaller minority groups. A quick overview of the five most important changes.
  • The 'Central Bank of the Revolutionary People's Republic of Ratomkira' has been founded. This new people's bank issues the nation's currency, which is the North Ratomkiran Whim, and is is led by its president Dan Motanaka. A Foreign Trade Bank was established to handle the Central Bank's international business.
  • Agriculture, forestry & fishing is, like all other sectors, under strict government control to oppose possible exploitation or sabotage. The country's aim is to become self-sufficient on the fields of food and water. The new state farms will be equalized, poorer farms receiving more finances, and given better equipment.
  • Wages and retirement pensions will be increased and largely equalized
  • Healthcare and medicine is made free. The time when an illness was nearly a death sentence for the poor workers and peasants of the North is over.
  • A budget is being put together to do a modernization of all main equipment in both farms and factories in order to make the working environment safer and more efficient. Places where the production is highest will receive priority.

Before the declaration of independence the KKP, of which all northern units will soon be incorporated into the military, was unable to adapt a planned economy due to a variation of reasons. Towns, villages and cities under de facto KKP control did not enjoy the benefits from the socialist economy as it was unable to create and maintain such a system during the war with the capitalists and could, in an effort to make the peace talks a success, not make the reforms during the meetings as it might jeopardize the outcome. Although the government knows that its budget is limited, barely enough to support the reforms, and it might take some more time to properly carry out the new ways, it is optimistic about its succes and expects economic growth soon.

The transformation of North Ratomkira's economy will end the exploitative and feudal practices that has kept many in poverty and hindered growth. The People's Republic of Vangala offers its friends in Na Treng technical and monetary assistance to help with economic restructuring.

Mass grave discovered near Phroum
Loggers find mass grave in Kasei, 20 kilometres from Phroum

Kasei - Yet another atrocity committed by the capitalists government has been uncovered. Yesterday, around 7 PM, tree loggers found a mass grave which, according to a source within the revolutionary government, contains the bodies of 621 people. People's Struggle spoke with Samnan Deik, one of the tree loggers that was there during the horrific discovery. "Our job was to make room for agricultural expansion. Given that the areas around the village Kasei are very fertile and thus more then a logical choice we where assigned there. It seemed like a regular day, our shifts where almost over, when one of my comrades saw a hand sticking out of the ground after he pulled out the roots of a fern tree. We immediately contacted the local authorities to inform them about the body, but it was only after we carefully dug up the body that we realized there where many more under him. It was then that a terrible smell came out. I remember several of my fellow workers throwing up after seeing and smelling the mass grave. One of them, a good friend of mine, even ran away in shock. By the time the army had arrived we had already moved our machines from the land so we would rest them on the graves. Afterwards we where asked to help uncover the bodies with our heavy machines. It was the hardest job I ever did, but I am glad that I could help."

After the grave was fully uncovered government personnel took over the site. Colonel Mao Bukonunminha was apparently the man in charge of the fragile operation. One of his spokesperson was the one to inform us that a total of 621 "poor souls" had been counted. After forensic specialists investigated the bodies they discovered that while some of the corpses are believed to be over five years old, others where there for mere weeks. Indicating that the mass grave was used by the former royalist government, but also by the military dictatorship that runs the south today. "There is no question that the southern government and its predecessor are responsible for this crime against humanity.", the spokesperson said. Referring to the fact that nearly all of the identified bodies belonged to leftist political activists or freedom fighters. Prominent figures of the KKP as well as from the anarchist unions and even several devoted royalists where found among the many bodies. Including Lon Viet, a former general of the KKP, and Kunthea Ravik one of the most influential feminists and anarcho-individualists of Phroum. The unexplained disappearance of all these people has now been cleared out.

Our leader, Comrade President Hun Mochhai, has announced three days of mourning. In a short speech he said that such discoveries once again reminds every single man or women in the country what they are fighting for. He also said that the bodies of all communists will be reburied in an honorary cemetery, treated as "heroes of the people". The bodies of anarchist activists will be send to Phroum and even the royalists bodies, but also the bodies of other criminals, will be properly reburied. During the short but powerful speech our Comrade President has condemned the southern government in the strongest way possible.

Revolutionary Defence Treaty Organization denies us full membership
Revolutionary government disappointed in RDTO after an observer status was given rather then full membership

Rijeka - International revolutionary solidarity has been given a hard blow as the Revolutionary Defence Treaty Organisation, the only socialist alliance in Europe, denied our new country full membership. "The reason that the nations of the RDTO denied our country full membership is a cowardly one. It is out of fear for the southern government, and more so its allies.", Minister of External Affairs Heng Namsolitsu said. He continued to say that he wonders how far the term 'revolutionary' goes for the member states of the RDTO, "Does being an internationalist revolutionary mean that when a popular communist uprising has been successfully completed, you can simply turn your back on them and let them face overwhelming odds? For nations like Carentania, a nation that otherwise waves the red flag every chance it gets, apparently it does." Minister Namsolitsu focussed his disappointment mainly towards Carentania and in lesser amount toward Volga as he also stated that "We are sure that our Vangalan comrades did everything make our membership possible. After all they are the ones who's financial, militarily economical and moral support has been vital for the success and growth of free Ratomkira." Acknowledging the huge amount of Vangalan support, something that can not be said by other communist, and self-proclaimed 'revolutionary' states in Europe.

By denying the Revolutionary People's Republic of Ratomkira full membership, only giving us an observer status, the nations of the RDTO have violated nearly every aim and principle of their own organisation. Upon joining the alliance every single nation must agree with the charter that says among other things; 'Unite all socialist democracies in their struggle against reactionary aggression', 'Further the cause of progress' and 'Defend the achievements of freedom and equality achieved thus far', something our truly revolutionary nation was more then willing to do. The fact of the matter is that they made sure that we are not allowed to unite with them against reactionary aggression and that all except Vangala is doing nothing to defend our achievements of freedom and equality. One can only be disappointed and even angry about the betrayal of internationalist revolutionary socialism in Europe, which we witnessed the last few days.

To make matters worse it quickly became clear that another reason for the refusal to allow us within their ranks was the ongoing war in Jurzan. It appears that the RDTO much rather wants to throw its troops and resources into a breeding pit of religious fundamentalism to assist them into creating a not even ideologically related nation. It must be said that the struggle of Carentanian troops against blind imperialism of the Talemantine Empire and its allies in former Akhaltsikhe is admirable. However at moments like these our government believes the RDTO must set its priorities and should choose to finally aid a people that has been fighting capitalist, and at times even fascist, oppression for decades. It is hoped by many within the revolutionary government that the socialist alliance will come to its senses and wisely acknowledge their mistake. After Minister Mansolitsu meeting with the press a spokesperson for the government reaffirmed our nation's willingness to keep Carentania as a friend and said that the Minister has been called to the Presidential Office to explain his rather harsh choice of words.

The allegations of the illegitimate regime in the North are preposterous. The transitional government has never or never will take part in practises such as mass murder. All Ratomkiran insurgents that have been sentenced to death had their fates decided by an objective and fair judge after individual trials. While it may be so that the tree loggers did uncover a burial ground of political dissents and other criminals, the high number and the claim that the bodies where supposedly piled up into a ditch are ridiculous exaggerations. The photo's taken by the communist propagandist media are clearly altered to make the situation look worse.

The insulting words directed at us for our careful approach towards Ratomkira - which is well justified after past, bad experiences with revolutionary governments that could not uphold their promise to the people - will be taken into account at future requests of the government of Ratomkira.

The criminal actions of the military dictatorship serve as further justification for the independence of North Ratomkira and we urge the international community to disassociate itself from Siem Khun and recognise the Revolutionary People's Republic as the true representative of the Ratomkiran people.

We also lament the rejection of Ratomkira as a full member of the Revolutionary Defence Treaty Organisation. Yet observer status should be cause for celebration and we urge our comrades in Na Treng to increase co-operation with members such as Carentania.

Northern KKP fully integrated into Revolutionary Liberation Army
President Hun Mochhai names Dai Sum new leader of the Southern KKP

Na Treng - Less then a month after the declaration of independence, all the northern militias of the glorious KKP have been successfully integrated into the Revolutionary Liberation Army. The announcement was made by the Ministry of War and Defence a few hours ago. This marks the end of nearly a century of brave struggle against colonialism, capitalism and oppression as the KKP was officially founded in 1912, being the second largest resistance group that fought during the Marquen colonisation. Although the name KKP will not completely disappear, our comrades in the south will still carry its banner with honour, it is clear that our new Revolutionary People's Republic has made yet another step away from being a worthy guerilla group to a strong nation. The integration has gone quicker then expected and thus it is also believed that a truly professional and, thanks to our Vangalan friends, modern army is within reach. Not a moment to late as the south has once again stepped up its rhetoric, saying that war is inevitable.

The former flag of the KKP has now become the official flag of the Revolutionary Liberation Army

But the new shall replace the old and moments after the announcement about the KKP's integration was made, another message was send into the revolutionary world. "Today also marks the foundation of the Ratomkiran 'Peasants and Workers Party', more easily referable to as the 'RPWP'.", Minister of Interior Padrum Sahui said. This means that the KKP, which used to be both a political and armed communist organisation under the same name, has now evolved into both a professional army and a political party. The Peasants and Workers Party will become our nations vanguard party in the model of its Vangalan sister-party the . It will promote revolution and the construction of socialism and communism in Ratomkira and the world. It will make sure that as long as it is leading us, the people will be equal, healthy, fed and free.

Dai Sum, a loyal friend of our leader Comrade President Hun Mochhai, has been named the new leader of the southern KKP. The hard-line revolutionary reaffirmed his commitment to a unified communist Ratomkira and said that the war in the south has already begun. Comrade commander Dai Sum spoke of the largest insurgency the "south has ever known..." He also threatened with the assassination of key dictatorial leaders, most prominently southern Marshall Drith Vannhere. We as freed Kambudjans and Lanxangese will stand behind the newly appointed commander Sum and must show our solidarity whenever we can.
