Regarding the Danish Westerly Navy and its related lease

To whomever it may concern in the legitimate authority of the Mezhist Union,

It has come to our attention that a significant portion of the Danish Westerly Navy, to include three aircraft carriers, six battleships, and related support craft has been leased to the Mezhist Union's authority. In the present day, as to the unmanned nature of the aforementioned craft, the Ministry of State is to extend an offer to the relevant authority of the Mezhist Union as pertains to the diplomatic transfer of miltariy materiel, that is, that the Ministry of State shall pay two-hundred percent (200%) of the manufacturing costs of the aforementioned craft as determined by the relevant authority of the Mezhist Union or its representatives, in exchange for the purchase or lease of the ships and the rights which pertain to their ownership, staffing, maintaining, etc. (overseen by the Ministry of the Navy) and the right to transfer these units from their present location in the Faroes into domestic territory. Additionally, the Ministry of the Navy will commit craft as necessary to defend the peaceful transaction of the aforementioned ships, including assisting forces of the Mezhist Union or aligned nations, to include Danmark, as commanded by the relevant authority in the event of conflict or crisis in the islands or elsewhere.

Government of the Mezhist Union

The Government of Dietsland has offered a fair offer and the Mezhist Union is willing to forfeit its lease on the Danish Westerly Navy for a fixed price of 200% of the aforementioned price. The Government of Dietsland is asked to approach the Government of Sylvania to ensure that they are made aware of the status of the ships. However, the Mezhist Union cannot commit any naval taskforce to assist in the endeavour due to logistical issues.

In this regard, this shall function as a notice to the relevant Sylvanian authority that any movements of seaborne craft - as operated by the Ministry of the Navy - in the Faroes and associated regions is in the interests of seeing this transaction completed.

It is our understanding that the Danish Westerly Fleet was leased as part of the agreement between Dane and Samaratian authorities over the Faroe Islands, an agreement that Sylvania and many other nations have not recognized. Therefore they are not their ships to sell to you at whatever you have valued them nor are these ships under ownership of the Danish Imperium, which as of only a few days ago ceased to exist. The government that has replaced the Imperium is one that Sylvania and many others do not recognize as the legal authority of previous Danish holdings. As it stands the Mezhists retreat like cowards from a superior Sylvanian and Cussian naval force after attempting to destabilize our region. We will liberate the Faroes from any Danish or Mezhist remnant and as part of our liberation the ships of the Danish Westerly Fleet will come under our control where they will be absorbed into the Continental Navy. I strongly suggest that your government halt any financial transaction with the Mezhist Union and spare your taxpayers the brunt of any unfortunate monetary loss.

It is with great sadness that I receive this news; the confirmation that in this day and age, a nation may violate freely and without second thought foundation of international diplomacy by failing to respect an agreement between two sovereign, legitimate governments that has been reached through peaceful discussion and deliberation. The principle you have chosen to uphold instead is one that says that the nation that holds the most arms and the most men to throw to the seas is the one that decides the fate of the globe, at the expense of reason and human life and liberty.
