Himyar just got out of a conflict that threatened to divide the continent. Allowing yet another conflict to arise would be a great failure on the part of Himyari Nations. It is important for the nations of Himyar to begin to work together diplomatically, this is not the time for belligerent attitudes.

The Divine Republic of Ascalon must return the bodies of the three dead teenagers and work together with Umbazi to settle their differences through civilized discussion. We, the naitons of Himyar, must act to ensure the maintenance of security and peace in this continent. We must show the world our ability to do this.

A conflict over this is trivial. If Umbazi and Ascalon were to begin conducting military operations against each other, it will be the will of Jurzan to remain neutral, despite our commitment to SEEDT, we will not fight pointless wars.

After considering carefully the will of the People and the will of the Nations of Himyar, we have decided to accept aid from Oikawa and Talemantros, and also to enter into mediation with Frescania, in order to resolve this dispute peaceably with Ascalon. We ask that Ascalon also agree to Frescania's offer, and send its representatives there to meet with ours, so that this Incident might be resolved to the benefit of both our peoples.

The Commonwealth government expresses its hope for level heads to prevail in this incident, applauding the Himyari governments neighboring the conflicting parties for showing restraint in their approach towards resolving this crisis.

The Cornavian government joins the international community in urging Ascalon to accept Frescania's offer of mediation, and is prepared to back a Council of Nations resolution on the issue should Ascalon continue its present course.

The Empire welcomes the latest message by the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Umbazi and will begin to prepare the announced relief operations immediately. If possible, we suggest that there be cooperation between the Talemantine and Oikawan efforts as to ensure that personnel and relief goods are distributed in the country in such a fashion as to avoid the neglect of some regions while others see an ineffective concentration of aid efforts.

Despite the mounting international pressure, Ascalon's arrogance has forced Umbazi to meet for the negiotiaitons in their Capital, rather than on Neutral ground. Autopsies have begun on the returned bodies, to the sorrow of their families, who nonetheless understand the importance of seeing Justice done, for them and for all Umbazi. "We will discover the truth behind this Incident, and will ensure Ascalon remembers long the price of maltreating Umbazi in this fashion." Ambassador Naseem Kefane, a secular Muslim, has been Ambassador to Ascalon for seven years, and has promised that no effort will be spared in ensuring that the Ascaloni are brought to a sensible compromise.

The Diplomatic Team consists of the Ambassador, 2 aides, and five bodyguards, the maximum allowed by the Ascaloni. Although drawn from our elite Presidential Guard, it is understood that the Ascaloni are responsible for the health and safety of the Team, and that any harm that befalls them will be completely their fault.

Ascalon has repeatedly stated it will not permit Investigation of the Prison where the Incident occurred, but it is nonetheless expected that other compromises will be extracted. Umbazi knows it is in the right, not only from its own sense of National esteem, but from the suprising but welcomed support given by the International Community, including many brother Himyari nations.

Only time will tell how successfully this Incident will be resolved for our great nation.

After intense and suprisingly hasty negiotiations, it has been confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that we have succeeded in making the Arrogant Ascaloni bow to their mistakes, and an official public apology will be issued to the families and people of Umbazi by the Ascalon Government, regarding their heinous and hasty criminal actions. A sizeable cheque is being made out to the families of those whose sons were robbed by the murderous and haughty Ascaloni Police, and whilst money can never return a son, it is a gesture of contrition, and one that we hope the Ascaloni will remember.

To prevent further Incidents of this nature, and to complete the "Police Action" Operations in the Ash Sharqi Province, a sizeable new Border fence is to be erected along the Umbazi-Ascaloni Border, which will be patrolled by no more than 15,000 Republican Millita personnel at any one time. It is understood that the Ascaloni will also field a similarly reduced- and more efficient- Border Guard force on their end, one that will be as watched as carefully as the border itself.

With tensions cooling in Himyar, a New time of Friendships and Bonds has begun, with Ketswayo opening its doors to a Meeting with all Foreign Powers who wish to express an interest in the reticient Tribal Union. Although Ketswayo has had dealings with other nations before, this is the first time it has been done on such a large scale since De-colonisation, and Umbazi has sent a large delegation to secure a close Partnership with our allies in Nethian Himyar.
