The Socialist Republic of Coronado has been accepted as a full member of the Revolutionary Defence Treaty Organisation. Unfortunately, New Paristan and Greater Palestine have had their applications rejected due to members' concerns. However, the Revolutionary Defence Treaty Organisation is willing to engage in discussions with these two nations to ensure a successful second application if they desire.

Taishan's request has been noted and a response will be given as soon as a deicision has been made.

Friends,

New Paristan invites concerned RDT members to an informal meeting in Montmartre to discuss our mutual interest in protecting and advancing the anti-capitalist cause. We hope that a face to face meeting will alleviate any concerns you may have about our nation, and help you to understand the valuable contributions that our nation can make to your alliance.

Sincerely,

Foreign Minister Marius Pontmercy

The State of Greater Palestine is disappointed at the decision taken by the RDF. While we appreciate the offer for talks, the State of Greater Palestine will not seek a second attempt at admission to the alliance in the near future, as we feel that a foundation of trust is currently not given and henceforth such talks would not have a productive outcome for either side. Instead it will be the policy of this government to engage in bilateral discussions with likeminded states to pursue the cause of the revolution and its defense.

To all members of the Revolutionary Defence Treaty Organisation (RDTO),

Due to the current state of economic, political and social development, and due to the serious security situation that we face in regard to Greater Sarmatia, the Foreign Affairs Board of the Demarchic Commonwealth of Denisova (FABDCD) requests this organisation to allow our country to enter its ranks. Should we enter your ranks, our country will do the best that it can to live up to its obligations as per the requirements of the treaty that is at the core of this organisation.

Let us unite and strengthen our countries to spread the glorious, international Proletrian revolution to all corners of both Europe and the rest of this planet!

Sincerely,
The Foreign Affairs Board of the Demarchic Commonwealth of Denisova (FABDCD)

Throughout the short existance of the cause of the Jurzan, the world has turned their backs on us. We were shunned by the Council of Nations, the so-called "organization of peace" and we were invaded with the intent of having our people enslaved by foreign powers. As the world sat by, and said some mean words to Talemantros, Carentania vailently stood to help the Jurzan with her cause and fought with us, side by side, to ensure our freedom. After our war, Carentania has helped the Jurzan to rebuild. Today, the Second Jurzani Republic stands as a stable democracy in Himyar, complete with a fuctional budget, economy, and military, in no small part by Carentania. It is only natural that once the Second Jurzani Republic stabilized, that we'd join the Revolutionary Defense Treaty with the ideals of ensuring a bond not only between Jurzan and Carentania, but between Jurzan and the vast variety of nations that did help us all the way through. On March 11, 2011, the Second Jurzani Republic officially requests membership in the Revolutionary Defense Treaty.

Signed,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Sharjah, Jurzan

Havenshires' application is being discussed. We ask the People's Republic for patience while the application process is taking place.

Time has passed and changed a lot of things since the resignation of Premier Andrey Denikin. Those changes, amplified by the coronation of Tsarina Tatyana Demian have me us rethink our strategy in the future. Because of the social and political changes we fear that we cannot respect the Revolutionary Defense Treaty and also don't share the aims of Article 1 of the treaty.
We hereby resign from the Revolutionary Defense Treaty Organisation.

Tatyana Demian, queen of all Ataians

Europaland is interested in finding out more about RDTO, specifically how either becoming a member or entering into some cooperation agreement with the alliance would impact upon our foreign and defence policy. We also feel that the members of RDTO together with other non-aligned socialist states across Europe should consider the establishment of a second organisation focused more around political and economic cooperation. It is important for our nations to be united in the face of capitalist and imperialist aggression.

As it stands, the Revolutionary Defense Treaty is a purely defensive one, guarantueeing mutual support in case of aggression and encouraging cooperation and coordination in the field of foreign and defence policy, but without placing confines or restrictions upon its memberstates. There are certainly hopes and wishes amongst its members that the RDT could be expanded by additional treaties, concerning fields such as economic or political cooperation, but differences need to be mended and differing interests to be brought together to achieve such a thing. That is certainly a goal worth striving for, but one that will require its due time and shouldn't be tackled with haste by the socialists of Europe.

We thank RDTO for their reply. The new government is largely sympathetic towards Europaland becoming a member of the organisation and intends to have the issue debated in parliament. Any potential membership application must however be approved in a federal referendum which may not be easy to win. The opposition parties are opposed to membership and many of our citizens believe that joining RDTO would result in Europaland being dragged into the ongoing conflict, being fearful of the potential consequences should that be the case.

My government feels that economic cooperation is more important than ever before considering the difficult times across Europe. This needn't necessarily be an outgrowth of RDTO and could emerge through a different organisation entirely. However as you point out this will indeed take time and we are aware that many of the socialist states in Europe have more urgent concerns at the moment.

Mr Arne Isaksen,
Defence Minister of Europaland
