King to Remain Hospitalized
Palace confirms His Majesty will stay in the hospital at least a week.

The Palace confirmed King Louis X was found unconscious in his bedroom by Queen Isabelle late Sunday evening.

“Emergency services at the Palais Royal were called and His Majesty was taken to Louis IX Hospital,” a palace spokesman confirmed at a press conference Monday afternoon. The king has been kept under watch by Dr. Rainier Chamont, royal physician, who is also chief surgeon at the hospital. Dr. Chamont confirmed the king is conscious but has been recommended to remain hospitalized for a week.

Members of the royal family visited the hospital on Monday. Prime Minister Coidavid will visit the king Tuesday morning. It has yet to be disclosed what caused the king to fall unconscious.

Prince declared Regent
King temporarily relinquishes power to son while still in Hospital

A senior government official has also stated King Louis X has named Prince Ferdinand-Philippe heir to the throne.

The Succession Act of 2012, which allows for the first born child of the monarch to succeed, regardless of gender, gave a provision for the monarch to pass the bill retroactive for his children.

“His Majesty has made it known that his only son intends to succeed,” said Marie-Micaela Badu, Lord President of the Crown Council. “The provision to the Act has finally been resolved.”

The prince, 25, announced he was openly gay late last year. It was widely rumored the king would name his daughter, Princess Marguerite, as heir-apparent.
Meanwhile, Dr. Rainier Chamont, royal physician and chief surgeon at Louis IX Hospital, confirmed the king’s health has improved and is expected to leave the hospital this weekend.

We commend His Majesty King Louis X for his open mind, because he lets his homosexual son succeed to the throne, so that the world will see the first openly homosexual monarch.

Royal Trooping of the Color Today
King takes part in royal pomp and ceremony since his recovery.

Louis X, along with members of the Royal Family, took part in the annual event.

This was the first time King Louis X was seen publicly since leaving the hospital earlier this month. Although the palace never released what caused the king’s illness, palace sources confirmed the King had a heart attack.

“[The King] has always struggled with his weight,” said Julianne Kinos, royal historian and author. “But in recent years His Majesty has tried to shed the pounds.”

Bedecked in his military uniform, King Louis and his son Prince Ferdinand-Philippe rode at the head of the Garde du Corps. With his wife at his side, Louis X stood for two hours as several regiments presented themselves. He returned back to the Palace in an open carriage with his wife, while his son rode behind the carriage. Other members of the royal family were also in attendance.

In addition, the Prince Royal’s boyfriend appeared at the ceremony for the first time. Jacobo Esterhazy de Tancarville was seen standing next to the prince during today’s festivities, and rode back in a carriage seating the king’s sister the Dowager Duchess of Livernois. Jacobo’s presence has been seen by many as a royal blessing of the relationship.

Ambassador Sanctioned
The Cœurlois Ambassador to Belmont has been called back from Belmont for an official inquiry.

It was discovered Ambassador Giuseppa Perezi wrote a memorandum not sanctioned by the government, but released to the Belmontien press.

Student protests took place in Lesmages, Belmont last week. 37 individuals were arrested and the police broke the protesting against the Belmontien Monarchy, using anti-riot weaponry including water cannons and tear gas. It is illegal in Belmont for individuals to speak out against the monarch.

The ambassador, 48, wrote an official response which condemning the actions taken by government. But the official memorandum was never communicated to the government nor was there any permission for her to do so.

A government spokesperson refused to comment on the issue, only saying the prime minister will speak with her privately. But an official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed a closed committee hearing will take place this week.

“The action taken by Mme. Perezi, while not entirely treasonous, could have been detrimental to Coeurlois-Belmontien relations.” said the official.

King meets with PM
The minister-elect arrived at the Palais Royal to request to form a new government.

Eleanor de Corza, the former foreign secretary, traveled to meet with King Louis X to request the creation of a new government Saturday morning.

Elections took place on Friday, with the centre-right Libéralistes maintaining a slight - but confident - majority in the Chamber of Deputies. Five vacant seats in the Chamber of Peers were also won by the party, strengthening their position in the upper chamber.

Among the vacant seats in the Peers was the one held by the former Countess. It was announced in June she would forfeit her title to her son Guglielmo, 22, and her seat in the Peers to run for election. In addition to being the second noble to forfeit their title for the office, it is the first time in Cœurlois history that a woman and a Curlan has won the premiership. Nevertheless, political pundits and commentators on both sides of the political line have given positive reviews.

“What makes Mme. de Corza an extraordinary person and servant of the State is her ability to represent all the interests of the nation.” said Baron Alexandros Costes, Peers Conservateurs Leader and a former colleague of prime minister-elect.

Cœurléon Goes to War?
On her first day of official work, PM discusses the nation going to war.

Eleanor de Corza moved into her official residence, Hôtel de Moncret, earlier on Sunday.

The nation’s first female prime minister, Mme de Corza was to announce some of her key domestic and foreign policies, as well as her announcement she would decline her C£148,300 salary. However, the escalation toward war with Boliatur has been the highlight of her first day on the job.

“The people of Cœurléon shares in the hostility the Republic of Boliatur is showing to the world,” de Corza said to the press. “If the civilized world calls for action this great nation shall respond.”

Regional European have placed sanctions on the republic, but some are already considering military action. Madam Prime Minister already confirmed the nation has frozen all assets and transactions to and from Boliatur, but declined to comment on possible military action.

“Now is the time to review the options we should take.” de Corza responded. Several government sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said both the Intelligence Services Committee and the Joint Chiefs of Staff held emergency meetings.

A special session of the Estates-General has been called for Monday morning.

War Not Declared
During an emergency session of the Estates-General, PM was short of calling for a declaration of war.

“In the best interests of this nation, war will not be declared.” Prime Minister de Corza told the lower house of parliament Monday morning.

This was the first time an emergency session of the legislature was called in more than twenty years. de Corza, who started her premiership only Saturday, called for a special session hours after having an audience with the king.

During the three-hour emergency session of the Chamber of Deputies, de Corza answered several questions from members of the lower house. Meanwhile, the Count di Monpozat, the foreign minister and senior government official in the Chamber of Peers, answered several questions on the importance of supporting the war effort led by regional powers.

“From the rural family to the royal family, our nation has important regional partnerships,” the count replied to a question in the chamber. “However, we must follow international law and political sovereignty. This is not a war between monarchists and republicans - it is a fight for the basic rights and principles the people of the Republic [of Boliatur] clamor for.”

Meanwhile, a government spokesman confirmed the Royal Navy is considering dispatching an aircraft carrier to provide “humanitarian aid”.
