His Excellency Supreme Leader Vladimir Rodzianko​

PETROGRAD - For his participation in seeing through the National Revolution of 1985-1985, averting the acts of anarcho-bolshevik agitators in 1992 as well as numerous other services rendered to the Serbovian nation, General of the Army (retired) Petar Mladenov has been issued the Grand Cross of the National Revolution. Mr. Mladenov, a present member of the Supreme Council of Social-Nationalism and a former Minister of Defense, was awarded the Cross today by His Excellency the Supreme Leader.

The Grand Cross of the National Revolution is the highest award available for issuance by the Social-Nationalist People's Party, and can be awarded by the Supreme Council alone to individuals with a period of at least 20 years of membership in the SNNP for life-long services. Petar Mladenov is thus the 27th person to receive the Grand Cross, which also ranks as equivalent of the Serbovian Grand Cross and the Order of Military Honor, highest civilian and military commendations issued by Social-Nationalist Serbovia.

Having been one of the progenitors of the Social-Nationalist movement, a loyal follower throughout the implementation of the party program and still a contributor in form of his membership in the Supreme Council despite elderly age - Vladimir Rodzianko pointed out - is a life worthy of admiration by any member of the Social-Nationalist movement. Service of the citizen to the nation, as both Rodzianko and Mladenev affirmed, during his entire life should be a staple of Social-Nationalist lifestyle.

COMMITTEE REPORT INDICATES EVIDENT VIABILITY OF PARTY ENTERPRISES​

VELIKO JEZERO - An internal committee assembled by the Supreme Council of Social-Nationalism for the purposes of evaluating the performance of economic units under the ownership of the SNNP has finished its work, handing a report to Minister of Economy and Industry Mr Aleksandar Djorovic.

The committee's assembly was ordered last year following the discovery of cases of economic wrecking among the production plants of Sokol Vehicles in Mleci. Subsequent to the trial of deputy plant director Mr. Radek Stankovic and five other officials for corruption and economic wrecking, the Supreme Council initiated a full and thorough cleansing of party economic units in order to assure that their intended function is fulfilled. This process has led to the prosecution of several individuals for economic wrecking and attempts to initiate stoppages in production and the provision of services.

Aleksandar Djorovic, during his reception of the report by this special committee, spoke to members of the Serbovian media about the importance of the economic units of the party - such as Sokol Vehicles - in allowing the Social-Nationalist movement and its numerous sub-organizations to carry on its work of charitable initiatives throughout the country. It is of high importance that these institutions of economic mobilization of the SNNP function in their intended manner in service of the nation, and that their operation is not subverted by wreckers and diversant elements.

SUPREME LEADER, MINISTER ZDRAVESKI SPEAK OF THE NEED TO RESIST TERRORISM IN THE AFTERMATH OF OIKAWAN ARRESTS

PETROGRAD - The recent dismantlement of a terrorist cell referred to by Oikawan authorities as the "Nokanawa four" bent on launching destructive terrorist attacks in the country provides an example on why we must with urgency continue actions to defeat terrorism and subversion wherever they manifest themselves. This fact was stated by His Excellency the Supreme Leader and Minister of State Security Mr. Dimitar Zdraveski as they both held speeches at the National Congress in Petrograd.

Supreme Leader Rodzianko also extended his congratulations to the personnel of the MDB, who managed to prevent a likely terrorist attack in Lovra by detecting and dismantling a fertilizer-based nail bomb planted on a bus stop. Subsequently, three men and two women of Ozgur origin and residents of the Lovra Ozgur Settlement have been arrested due to terrorism-related charges described by functionaries of the MDB Directorate of Internal Security as severe enough to warrant execution. The incident highlights the continuation of activities of Islamic elements that call for a determined response on behalf of the MDB.

Minister Zdraveski responded by addressing the nature of today's terrorism as an international phenomenon, calling for a coordinated response between memberstates of the League of Free States and other states confronted with the issue of terrorism. He listed as key groups on this the Islamic Resistance and the Ozgurian Holy Army, but also the so-called Democratic Liberation Front for a Sovereign Ozguria, denouncing this self-described opposition group for its connections with radicalist terror movements. Assurances were given by Mr. Zdraveski that the Ministry of State Security will continue its swift efforts for the safety of the Serbovian people.

HEALTH OFFICIALS WARN AGAINST PANIC-MONGERING AFTER MIEDZYMORZEAN FLU OUTBREAK​

PETROGRAD - In response to the recent oubreak of influenza in Miedzymorze due precautions must be undertaken if the disease spreads, but panic and panic-mongering must be avoided, said Minister of Social Welfare Mrs. Aleksa Joksovic today. The outbreak of H3N2 influenza in Mislika has so far affected mainly the Mahommedan community with 127 infections recorded by health authorities in Miedzymorze.

Mrs. Joksovic stated that the Ministry of Social Welfare and the Serbovian embassy in Hrodino were in the process of assessing the severity of this most recent outbreak, but indicated her confidence that the influenza was not any more severe than seasonal flu. In addition, she heavily criticized foreign governments for grossly overreacting to the news of an outbreak, going so far as to hint at travel restrictions and quarantines. "Such a reaction can do nothing but cause unnecessary concern by shouting flood at the sight of a rain cloud, and should be avoided", Mrs. Joksovic said as she spoke to reporters.

The high-quality Serbovian healthcare system is, however, preparing to receive the regular cases of seasonal flu that occur every year. Health authorities of the individual Social-Nationalist Republics are working with the Ministry of Social Welfare as part of a project intended to minimize seasonal flu effects on the Serbovian workforce. However, Mrs. Joksovic assures that the flu in itself will not pose a danger to anyone except those with a background of illness, and that the system of healthcare of our Fatherland is adept at dealing any cases encountered.

HIS HOLINESS PATRIARCH DIMITAR III EXPRESSES CONDEMNATION OF LUSITANIAN COMMUNISTS​

NOVY PRIJAN - In the internally divided country of Lusitania, the Communist faction in control of significant parts of the country has engaged in a campaign of persecution against Christian priests and Christians in territories under their control. His Holiness Dimitar III, the Patriarch of Serbovia and the Metropolitan of Petrograd, joins criticism by the international community and the Supreme Leader against the Lusitanian communist movement by vocal condemnation.

Earlier Minister of External Affairs Mr. Daniel Nemanjic criticized the Communist movement's campaign of ill-guided militant atheism in defense of religious freedom and Christian values held as essential by Social-Nationalist ideology. His Holiness the Patriarch upon his visit to a monastery of the Serbovian Orthodox Church in Novy Prijan, however, condemned openly what he described as the "forces of atheistic materialism in the act in Lusitania". His Holiness expressed the Serbovian Church's stance that "not even religious heterodoxy should mean that the Church be not appalled by these deeds".

Since the collapse of the Integralist government in Lusitania the Federated Social-Nationalist Republics have asserted derecognition of the political entities in the country due to its precarious internal situation. However, through our embassies in nearby neighboring countries His Excellency the Supreme Leader hopes to maintain dialogue with all parties, keeping in mind that the present state of the country presents a myriad of legal issues from the established point of view of the Executive Council.

MAYOR DOLINA REVIEWS PLANS ON GREATER PETROGRAD TRAFFIC​

PETROGRAD - Officials of the Ministry of Transportation and representatives of Sokol Vehicles, VDT Construction and Engineering and a number of other public and private economic units met with Mayor Zlatan Dolina of Petrograd today on discussions pertinent to the plans to renew the traffic system of the Greater Petrograd Special Administrative Area. Both the road traffic and collective transportation in Petrograd, Vladisevac, Prijan and other municipalities is to be developed.

One of the major items of this program is modernizing the Petrograd Subway. Though the present series of Sokol units acquired between 1971 and 1975 continues to serve well due to modernization and maintenance performed by the highly competent mechanics of the Greater Petrograd Transport Service, their replacement by newer units and the modernization of station and tunnel infrastructure is described as a current item. As such, renewing the Subway is likely to be a significant, perhaps the most relevant portion of traffic system renewal.

Mayor Dolina has proposed that to facilitate modernization of the Subway and to encourage sustainable development and to improve the health of the citizens of Petrograd, there should be an institution of road tolls within the Petrograd area. Serbovia considers road mobility a right belonging to each and every citizen, and as such has not instituted toll practices of any kind. However as Mayor Dolina and other members of the Social-Nationalist People's Party in Petrograd have pointed out, advancing the development of public transportation through a road toll practice will in actuality have the greater advantage of improving the people's rights to access reliable and sustainable public transportation.

PREPARATIONS OF OUR ELECTION VICTORY'S 25th ANNIVERSARY HOLD HIGH IMPORTANCE​

SERBOVIA - The year 2010 marks the 25th anniversary of the democratic elections of the National Congress on the 19th of February 1985, when the Social-Nationalist People's Party gained parliamentary majority for the first time in the first democratic elections held after the collapse of the kleptocratic Two-Year Junta. In addition, the 19th of February of next year is also the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Federated Social-Nationalist Republics of Serbovia.

The importance of both of these festivities is recognized by all Serbovia, with people everywhere already in preparation of the simultaneous events of the 24th Day of Social-Nationalism and the 25th Anniversary of the Victory of Democracy in Serbovia. Even though the official program of this double celebration shall take place in Petrograd under the protection of His Excellency the Supreme Leader Vladimir Rodzianko, citizens in all parts of the country will undoubtedly celebrate the emergence of a new Serbovian order.

The status of the year of 2010 as the quarter-centennial anniversary of the establishment of democratic order in the Fatherland of the Serbovian people represents an unique obligation for all Serbovian citizens to appreciate the nature of this extraordinary event and to provide appropriate honor and dignity to the vanguards of the Social-Nationalist movement and the defenders of Serbovian unity and honor.

SOKOL VEHICLES NEGOTIATING TO EXPORT AUTOMOBILES INTO WIESE​

SOKOL - Sokol Vehicles is presently in the process of negotiating for the sale of the products of its Automobile division in Wiese through the KIW Investment Group, a major Wiese consortium. This marks an expansion of Sokol Vehicles Automobile - known better by its marketing name VS-Auto - into Wiese for the first time, for a producing group that has for a long time held as its primary customers the citizens of Serbovia and the League of Free States.

VS-Auto is the largest automobile manufactory in Serbovia, rivalled only by the FVP and Vladic groups, and supplies both private citizens as well as government customers. Specialty vehicles manufactured by Sokol Vehicles are in extensive use with the Federal Army and the Ministry of State Security, and are relied upon in a number of tasks crucial to national defense and security. As Sokol's executives themselves are happy to proclaim, the group's involvement in the design and production of military vehicles with ruggedness and reliability as key features of design has brought similar features into their civilian designs. To a large part, this is what has resulted in Sokol's popularity in Serbovia.

PETROGRAD - Upon her promotion to the rank of a Colonel and appointment to take the place of the head of the Department of Military History of the Central Military Academy of the Land Forces, Mrs. Sofia Milosevic has proposed extending the safety education given to students at secondary and tertiary levels to include girls and young women. Colonel Milosevic gave a speech at the academy in Petrograd after being officially promoted by Colonel-General Karl Ribar, Chief of the High Command.

Though every able-bodied man and woman is obliged to contribute to the defense of the Fatherland if needed, conscription is only enforced on roughly a half of Serbovian men, with those not conscripted receiving obligatory safety education in second and third stage educational institutions. This safety education includes physical fitness, basic combat drill, first aid, civil defense and shooting, and aims to ensure the capabilities of all Serbovian men to defend the Fatherland against any external or internal aggressors. Women may choose to enter the Federal Army voluntarily, but are unable to serve in combat positions.

Colonel Milosevic proposes introducing obligatory safety education for women to foster patriotism and to encourage them to serve within the Federal Army as volunteers. Though the stance of the Social-Nationalist People's Party and the Federal Army is that women too should serve the nation in ways suitable to them, it is not certain what true effect if any Milosevic's idea would have. The High Command has not altered the position of women in the defense system after 1975, and is not likely to do so.

Sofia Milosevic is the first female Colonel within the Federal Army, and therefore the highest-ranking female officer. Previously, there have been a number of female Lieutenant Colonels and officers of lower rank, as well as female Colonels of State Security.

SECURITY SERVICES ACT AFTER POLICEMAN IS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY​

VELIKA KANZIJA - Sergeant Milorad Tarkovsky, 36 years old father of two and a member of the Velika Kanzija Police Regiment, was killed in the line of duty on the night between the 11th and the 12th of November by suspected Ozgur hooligans. In response, the Velika Kanzija Police in concert with the Special Police Service is currently staging a major operation in the city and the area, aiming to catch the persons responsible as well as their any possible Islamist associates.

The Ozgur Working Settlement of Velika Kanzija, which primarily contains residents from the Northeastern Homeland, is the center of the operation as Tarkovsky was shot while patrolling that Settlement. Though a large-scale search operation currently in progress by the local police and the Special Police Service has not yet led to any arrests related to the brutal and inexcusable murder of Sergeant Tarkovsky, policemen have confiscated illegal firearms and narcotics from criminal elements of the Velika Kanzija Ozgur community. As the victim of the murder was a member of the MDB, the Directorate of Internal Security has been put in charge of the investigation.

The murder of a police officer, a servant of national order and a protector of the Serbovian people, cannot go unpunished and the Ministry of State Security has assured that any and all means necessary will be employed to catch the perpetrators. Offenders against national and civil security must be persecuted at all cost, especially when those offenders are likely to swear loyalty to the rotten banner of Ozgur separatism and Islamic reaction.

MINISTER MESTIC UPHOLDS THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL COVERAGE BY THE SCNA​

PETROGRAD - Minister of Education and Propaganda Mr. Pedrag Mestic and State Security of Education of Propaganda Mrs. Aleksandra Petrovic jointly reaffirm the importance of foreign coverage by the Serbovian Central News Agency as a way of spreading knowledge about Serbovian culture and society and countering disinformation by hostile governments.

It was agreed in today's session of the Executive Council that the funding received by the Serbovian Central News Agency for its international functions - service in Oikawan, Sarmatian, French, German and Scanian - should continue in full. In addition, His Excellency the Supreme Leader commissioned State Secretary Mr. Petrovic to evaluate the possibility of expanding international SCNA coverage to include new audiences previously beyond the reach of the Central News Agency. Supreme Leader Rodzianko also commissioned a similar evaluatory task for the OEK, which presently maintains international TV channels in Oikawan, Sarmatian, German and French.

The travel itinerary of Patriarch Bartholomew has not yet been released to the public, but the Serbovian Orthodox Church is inviting him to meet with his Serbovian counterpart during his meeting to Serbovia.

The choice of Serbovia as the Patriarch's first destination in a series of foreign visits likely to include several Orthodox countries highlights the theological importance of the Serbovian Orthodox Church within the Orthodox community, and the importance of Serbovia in itself as a bastion of Orthodox culture and identity in Europe. Historically Serbovians have stood at the forefront of Christianity and Orthodoxy in the borderland against forces of Mohammedanism, and the role Serbovians of former times have played in the defense of Christianity must be considered a great source of national pride and unity.

H3N2 REACTION DESCRIBED AS EXCESSIVE BY HEALTH MINISTER​

PETROGRAD - After the detection of three further cases of H3N2 by the authorities in Northern Serbovia among the community of ethnic Sarmatians in the Social-Nationalist Republic of East Banat, Minister of Social Welfare Mrs. Aleksa Joksovic has criticized foreign reactions to cases of H3N2 elsewhere in Europe as excessive and assured the citizens that the cases detected so far do not indicate the disease to be any more severe than normal seasonal flu.

Mrs. Joksovic said that the Institute of Contagious Diseases of the University of Petrograd had been engaged in assessing the severity of cases of H3N2 detected in several European countries - including Miedzymorze and the Levantine States - and that the disease is fully under control. She pointed out a weakness in the response of liberal-capitalist governments to the outbreaks in their "apparent panic-mongering perpetrated by pharmaceutical lobbyists and the yellow press" for personal profit and against greater and common good and in their ignoring of the responsibility to transmit accurate information and prevent panic among their citizens.

The Ministry of Social Welfare advises Serbovian citizens that maintenance of basic hygiene is sufficient a countermeasure against H3N2, and that the illness is usually treatable with home rest unless the patient has a history of previous medical illnesses of significance or is of young or elderly age. Those in the latter categories, however, should seek medical attention in the event that H3N2 symptoms are discovered.

EXECUTIVE COUNCIL HOPEFUL TO PROMOTE SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONES​

SOKOL - Minister of External Trade Mrs. Eliza Raskovic visited the Sokol Special Economic Zone today, meeting with workers of the Sokol Vehicles plants in the city and conversing with Sokol mayor Petar Vyshinsky. She also announced His Excellency the Supreme Leader Vladimir Rodzianko's plan on promoting investment within the Komoran and Sokol Special Economic Zones.

A new plan prepared by the Executive Council on the Supreme Leader's orders aims to attract investment into the Special Economic Zones from memberstates of the League of Free States and from neutral states, and involves increasing the role held by Serbovian diplomatic trade representations in facilitating and encouraging foreign investment in Serbovia and in several planned meetings between the Ministry of External Trade, the Special Economic Zone Authority and potential foreign investors.

The Special Economic Zones are of crucial importance to the implementation of Social-Nationalist doctrine as established in the third Veliko Jezero Congress of 1998, where the Social-Nationalist People's Party decided to establish the SEZ system. They serve to bring foreign investment into Serbovia and to promote trade between Serbovia and foreign countries.

Conceptual ideas of a Special Economic Zones would be embraced by our Union of free peoples, so long as these Economic Zones can remain relatively independent, or without heavy restriction. Excessive or increased investment and trade in Serbovia could be a source of mutual prosperity in the coming decade.

Should the government in Zivotinje be interested in furthering Zivotinjenic investments in Serbovia beyond the usual framework of foreign investment, I am personally prepared to host a facilitatory meeting to that effect.

The Special Economic Zones themselves operate on a principle of permissibility towards foreign investment, while being bound by Serbovian criminal, environmental and labour laws.
