THAUMANTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL 2018
Elephant & Castle and Hammersmith
Sponsored by Dog&Bone
The Thaumantic Music Festival, or TMF, was founded four decades ago, in the year 1973, by Cher, John Denver, Olivia Newton-John, David Bowie, and Queen. As a social standard, Engell peoples are not inclined toward populist mass-movements owing to the lasting consequences of the Revolutionary Wars, but those Engells that are take to their ideological movements with the same vigor and zeal as one would expect of cousins within the Socialist World Republic across the Clarencian. The TMF has, through the decades, acted as an outlet for the frustrations of the working-classes, although that historical role has been succeeded by that of inclusive cultural celebration.
The TMF's story is a long and complex one. Starting out as a rallying festival among leading musicians in 1973 to focus the attention of the wider Engellexian Republic, North and South, to the injustice and suffering of the Engell population of the Western and Northern Frontier Territories (in present-day Alexandras). It later expanded into the greater, wider realm of political frustrations and, for the remaining duration of the 1970's, effectively became the popular demonstration of working-class frustrations. This, however, did not last for long; other ideological groups infiltrated or joined the group to hijack their peaceful message against injustice, with the result that the TMF was banned permanently from the Constituent Republic of Otho-Eam, where it was established. Yet it still lurked in obscurity, reverting back to its humble origins. As the years passed the TMF again began to exert itself, but wisely and carefully, making sure to just skirt the borders of the hostile political arena.
Once again, the liberation of the Western and Northern Frontier Territories from foreign occupation became the focus of the TMF. They embarked on a cultural journey of popular campaign, resulting in some of the most influential and memorable festival concerts in musical history.
The TMF had originally sought refuge in rural and remote areas. Even while the TMF was most active in influencing politics federally, they still maintained their festivals far away from the urban metropolises of the Republic. Only in 1995 did the TMF become a little less reclusive, establishing their first Stage within Elephant and Castle to increase their visibility to the general public of the largest city in Himyar. In 2000 the TMF transformed into the cultural celebration we recognise today, when it established their second stage in Hammersmith.
Today the TMF exists over four days. The Southern Stage (Elephant and Castle) kickstarting the event on a Friday with an opening headlined by SoCRER's biggest musicians, and a day two involving up-and-coming musicians from SoCRER. The Northern Stage (Hammersmith) opens on day three (Sunday) with up-and-coming musicians from NoCRER, and occupies the TMF's closing fourth day headlined by NoCRER's biggest musicians.
The Thaumantic Music Festival admits representations by artists from other nations in Europe, where every nation is invited to be represented on both headlining days. The TMF believes in the education of citizens throughout Europe to the enrichment and progress of cultural diversity and inclusion. The Engellexian Republic has historically championed the abandonment of social patterns restricting the personal and wider rights and freedoms of people throughout the Thaumantic Area; neither gender, sexuality, or race should ever be a pattern to which another human being should deprive another fellow human being of equal freedom and opportunity.

OOC: Eurovision-Engell style.
Every nation in Europe is officially invited, and genuinely encouraged to participate. It's a cultural celebration, not a political demonstration. There will be two awards at the end, one for Engell acts, and another for non-Engell acts.
When submitting participants, include one for the Southern Stage and another for the Northern Stage. If you can, select a live performance video from Youtube that also reflects the indoor and outdoor venue staging, I chose both to make it easier.
