We thank the Constitutional State for it's graciousness in not fully condemning us for our decisions at home and for not immediately jumping the gun and calling us barbarians for our campaign for a pure humanity. We would like to clarify that nowhere in the Eugenics bill does it say that these people are unfit for life, just unfit for creating life, you may see no difference in these words but we do. We are not exterminating these people, we are simply barring them from infecting our nation with further defects such as theirs. We hope that someday the Constitutional State will realize that the sterilization of homosexuals and dangerous criminals is the only way to a safer more pure society. Your condemnations and disapproval will not affect our views of the Constitutional State and even though we may have had different opinions during the Aresuran conflict our approval and opinion of the Constitutional State is currently at an all time high.

Long Sea Trade Routes No Longer Viable

The Economic minister in Bangleann has determined that the Long Sea trading is no longer viable and too dangerous due to the war with Solaren and obvious EDF imperialism plaguing the ancient trade route. Bantyr's economy hasn't felt much due to Bantyric shipping companies preference for much safer routes along the Northern Passage to Boreas, Hyboreas and Oceania. The Bantyric Navy has pledged to keep the Northern Routes safe and have invited those who ship in the Long Sea to instead switch to safer Northern Passage routes. Refueling stations along the Bantyric coast and at Bantyr's biggest port, Port Fiona, are offering cheaper refueling rates to shipping companies who once shipped in the Long Sea and have decided to switch to the Northern Passages for a limited time.

Solaren War Is Blatant EDF Imperialism

Foreign Affairs Minister Ronald Reid in a statement today called the war in the Long Sea blatant EDF imperialism blaming nations such as Nicosia and Lorraine for poor foreign policy as the main reason the war started. He stated that if nations like Nicosia and Lorraine hadn't fallen for EDF greed disguised as security and stability and had not joined the EDF they would have never have found themselves at odds with the nation of Solaren.

Murder in Port Fiona! Return of Clear Sky?

In the affluent, rich Southern District of Port Fiona citizens awoke to a massive fire in a set of luxury apartments a fire that killed almost one hundred people. The fire is said to have been caused by a incendiary bomb exploding in the lobby of the building shooting through the ceiling of the first floor and cutting off the escape of people in the floors above. Firefighters fought for almost seven hours to put out the fire which burned with a ferocity that hasn't been seen since the Shanklin McMurdo corporation's Dockyard 5A oil fire in 1975. However the fire was not the worst thing to have happened early this morning. When police were finally able to enter the building they found the dead body of Alan Weylin and the bodies of two naked call girls, all three bodies riddled with bullets. A book was rumored to be found on the dead body of Weylin and police later confirmed it to be the manifesto of the once though long dead Clear Sky terrorist organization responsible for over two thousand deaths in the Kilkenny disaster of 1985. The government has declined to comment on their supposed return. In communities across the nation, local law enforcement has released statements to the public asking citizens to be wary of people who may be suspicious and to report those who may have histories or suspected histories of environmental fanaticism and radicalism.

Rumors Abound in Banglean

Anonymous insiders in the Bangleann political establishment have told us about rumors floating around in the Senate that the President is planning to contact the Suionian government to start talks about ending the destructive trade war that has now lasted for several months. This may be in response to the economy's lackluster response to President Gordon's plans to make Bantyr good for foreign investment such as a lowered corporate tax rate, the sale of the assets to Breotonia and the large trade deal with Engellex.

Bantyric Whaling Fleet Sets Sail!

In Port Fiona today, the wives and sons of fishermen wave goodbye as Bantyr's large whaling fleets, owned by the MacGil Corporation, once again set sail fully fueled and with a mission to supply their nation with food taken from dangerous cold waters. Security was high today at the Port Fiona Dockyards as the ships cleared the moorings and sailed into the sea. Police and government officials were afraid that with the supposed resurgence of the Clear Sky environmental terrorist organization that the ships were in danger from attack while being loaded with supplies overnight. Crewmen new and old were subjected to searches by police and MacGil corporate security forces. The fleet will sail past the Glass Islands and up north near Dal Riata to begin their hunt for whales. However the security concerns do not end there, with the Trade War continuing with the Northern Council, the government has commissioned small elements of the first fleet to escort the whaling fleet up north where it will stand guard during the season. There were also rumors that whaling ships were provided with an arsenal of small arms although this has yet to be confirmed.

"The Suionians have already threatened our fishing fleets once many months ago and we have no doubt that they may once again issue another threat to our food supply and way of life. We will not allow emotional anthropomorphism and lies about over-fishing stop us from providing food to our people."- John MacLachlan, Economic Minister.

- Government officials continue to refuse to comment on supposed Clear Sky involvement in the brutal murder of steel magnate, Alan Weylin.

- President Allen Gordon set the record straight about rumors to deal with the NC to end the trade war, he reiterated that any sort of talks or negotiations are still a long way off. He also called the Suionian law to force businesses to provide information on what nations and individuals said business deals with as going against the ideals of the free market. When questioned on whether the statement bordered on the hypocritical he stated that the nationalization of NC assets was not the policy of his regime and that despite it Bantyr is once again marching forward to a complete free market society.

Senate Passes Resolution Of Commendation

Today in the Senate a resolution was overwhelmingly passed to commend the actions of the Queen-Empress Charlotte of Engellex for standing up to the evil imperialism of the European Defense Federation. The EDF has been constantly criticized by Bantyric politicians and military experts for it's blatant poorly veiled imperialism and war mongering leadership. The commendation will be passed through the Bantyric Foreign Ministry to the Bantyric Embassy in Dulwich were it shall be passed forward to the Queen-Empress' aides.

Second Fleet Deployed to the South An Lyric Sea

Naval Command has ordered Second Fleet to increase patrols of trade routers in the southern An Lyric sea to protect Bantyric trade to Engellex, other nations and Warreic Colonies. The Grand Admiral stated that he will not allow the wars in the lowlands to disrupt Bantyric trade.

EDF: Bumbling Idiots. Communists Take Control


While the Imperial Wars of The Long Sea rage on a surprising new front has opened up in the war to tame the innocent Solaren, only a few days ago the communist regime of Carentania in it's false righteousness attacked the Solaren Army in Capraria, while the greasy communists of Coronado are moblizing to open another front to take Solaren. Just what is going on in the Long Sea? In what seemed like an easy war with the massive bloated armies of the imperialist European Defense Force mobilizing to crush tiny Solaren, it seems now the obviously weak and idiotic regimes of the EDF have been duped and out maneuvered by the communists who now threaten to take complete control of the vital sea lane for the lowland nations. General Keith Ritchie, a member of the the Joint Chiefs and Commander of the entire Bantyric Republican Army, commented on the situation:

"It's like my constituents you have interviewed have said before, the bumbling idiots in the EDF have completely let this war show how weak they really are; couple that with the absolute cunning of Queen Charlotte and her Engellexic military completely taking the entire EDF by surprise by launching a crippling attack on Montelimar and what you have here is the imminent death of our world's largest military alliance. It is now up to the non-EDF aligned states within the Long Sea to stop this communist take over of their greatest trade asset: The Long Sea Corridor. If they cannot be stopped the global economy can be ground to a halt if the communists begin to pick and choose who they let through and who they exclude from sailing in the Long Sea." -General Keith Ritchie, Commander of the Bantyric Republican Army and member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Meanwhile the EDF's weakest nation, Nicosia, continues to be it's most vocal member with it's media watchdogs doing everything they can to counter every negative opinion a nation may have about the EDF. In Bangleann the President urged businesses and shipping companies not to worry as the Northern An lyric Trade Route will remain open and as the Fall and Winter seasons approach, Bantyric Navy icebreakers will do everything they can to keep the northern trade lanes open for all who wish to use them.

While we completely agree that the war is going extraordinarily poorly, we feel that the world has lost sight of why this war is being waged. Nicosia was attacked numerous times by state sponsored terror that specifically targeted civilians (a hospital no less). Further more, our citizens were held hostage. Our diplomats, send with an offer of peace, were murdered. Yet some nations vocally supported Solaren and by extension condoned terror. Nations outside the EDF failed to act to protect the sovereignty of a nation and to suppress terrorism. We would say that the only reason any bumbling is happening now is because the world at large failed to act.

Though it would be simpler and would bring an end to the war quickly, which has proven to be the prefered tactics of the leadership of Solaren and maybe even prefered by those leaders in Bantyr, and conduct an all out war against it enemies which include civilian targets, the EDF has avoided conducting such a war. While it a slow and plodding process, the EDF is at war with the Urban regime and its military, not the people of Solaren, and though civilian casualties are an unavoidable cost of waging any war and one in which Solaren has no qualms in paying or exacting from its enemies, the EDF has attempted to avoid such casualties and in doing so may have made less progress than if it had conducted the war as Urban and his Black Templers would do or the Bantyr leadership would prefer.

The Admiralty is taking this opportunity to remind the world of this commitment and to warn all parties that might consider pursing any action that would hinder neutral civilian, commercial, or military traffic that His Majesty's Royal Navy is at all times authorized and obligated to provide immediate, unconditional, and overwhelming aid to any neutral traffic that requests assistance in dealing with blockade, mandatory searching of vessels, unwanted escort, and all other incidents that would impede or harm the process of Free Transit. Offending parties are subject to any measure His Majesty's Royal Navy finds necessary in halting their interference with neutral shipping which might include the arrest and detainment of crew, the seizure or scuttling of ships, or its destruction in combat.

The Right Honourable The Secretary of State has received the Command of Her Engellexic Majesty The Queen to make known the following gracious Statement of her Engellexic Majesty to the Leaders of the European Defence Federation.​

Extension of The Queen's Statement in Council.

TO THE LEADERS OF THE EUROPEAN DEFENCE FEDERATION

I am instructed to EXPRESS on behalf of her Engellexic Majesty;

Even if, as has been repeatedly argued, the object of the European Defence Federation was a just one, the Federation had no right to seek it through an armed conflict that now violates the established freedom of the Long Sea and the future prosperity of the region. The question that now needs to be asked throughout Europe, is whether the Federation had acted in violation of the responsibility bestowed upon it through trust of the European community to the hegemony of the Federation. The fact the member states of the Federation have and continue to ignore the concerns of the international community, to us, affirms that position of a violation. When the PASILA ACCORD was fundamental to the direction of European politics, the European Defence Federation dared not do what is had done now.

The Powers of Preuti-Borussia, and Saamiskavia, never for a moment permitted the Federation to conduct a political restructuring of the region, nor was that permission accorded to them as regarded any other state in Europe that is independent of the membership to the Federation. We demand by what international authority the Federation had subsequently acquired such power to act as such. But it has been asserted that this was merely a concern of national security; admittedly, the metropolis of Dulwich would have conceded to that argument, however, the fact remains that the Federation has plunged a region already in need of economic recovery into one of open warfare. That is not national security; it is regional, and perhaps international in scale.

As in other continents of Europe, there was nothing to prevent the Federation from establishing an understanding and cooperation between the alliance and regional powers; even more so, there is no reason to justify the Federation’s refusal to meet the concerns of her Engellexic Majesty and ministers with dialogue. The Federation had no right to take the course it had done in invading the prerogative of the regional Powers. As such it is the firm belief of Great Engellex that the power of the European Defence Federation needs to be curtailed for the sake of maintaining the sovereignty of minor powers in the region.

We cannot agree to the assertion by the Kingdom of Nikosia, that many governments of the region supported the actions of the Kingdom of Solaren, and sincerely hope that you do did not mean to implicate her Engellexic Majesty in that statement. We also reject the deceit and outright lies of the Grand Duchy of Aquitania, for it was the Grand Duchy which provided leadership in the persecution of followers of the Solaris religion, people who thought they were welcomed to a new life in Aquitania.

I will conclude this statement by reassuring the Federation that contrary to their popular belief, the Free Realms and Republics of Europe are not so blind and isolated in their discontent for your actions.​

We did not intend to implicate Englellex. However, it appears as though you forget that Nicosia approached the international community at large looking for aid before turning to its own alliance. Furthermore, we were attacked repeatedly. The idea that Nicosia turned to the EDF for an immediate military response is absurd and completely contradicts history. The fact that the international community ignored the concerns of Nicosia is the issue. Nicosia and her allies did NOT want war. In fact, we did EVERYTHING to try to avoid it. Not only did SOLAREN ATTACK EDF forces, but they also murdered Nicosia PEACE ENVOYS. The true fact is that Solaren and not the Federation caused this war. Any denial of that fact is a clear and dangerous manipulation of actual events.

And in neither case, in Solaren or now in Montelimar, was the war started by the EDF. Oh, it was the EDF that was targeted, it has been the EDF that both Solaren and Engellex blame for the war, but it was not EDF troops or planes or ships that fired the first shot, and more importatntly, in both cases, it was EDF members blood that was spilled and EDF member soil that it was spilled on. Though Solaren had threatened to attack Lorraine in which then the came to their aid, it was not the EDF that fired the first shot. The same thing in Montelimar, in fact, the Montelimarians didn't even mobilize in response to the Engellex mobilization, but that did not stop Engellex planes from attacking in the middle of the night on a sleeping people. Tell me, is the deaths of hundreds, maybe thousands the price one must pay when the Queen of Engellex feels she is being ignored?

Well, she is not being ignored now, with so much blood on her hands, I guess she will be paid attention to. Just like Urban IV felt like he wasn't being taken seriously, he started killing Nicosians, it would look like Queen Charlotte feels that it will take thousands of Montelimarian dead and a country laid in ruin to make sure that she is taken seriously.

Bangleann Issues Warning to Gallia Belligerents

As Second Fleet finishes it's repositioning to just north of the Cambrian straight, Fleet Admiral Carson Carbry issued a general warning backed by the Bantyric Senate to all belligerents that any disruption of trade with Engellex and ships passing through the great sea will be considered an act of war. The Admirals Commission also issued a warning to all Bantyric civilian and trade traffic that the Long Sea should be avoided at all costs.

New History Curriculum Receiving High Marks

A new history textbook and accompanying government approved curriculum has been receiving high praise lately. The book tells with much greater accuracy the history of the ancient Celtic people and how their proud lands were split in two by the barbarian vikings whose descendants now occupy Suionia and Arendaal.

Recent reports from independent polling sources say that 85 percent of Bantyric Men and Women feel they are superior genetically and culturally to other An Lyric nations including Warre. A separate poll concluded that 95 percent of Bantyric Men and Women feel the Kingdom of Warre does not have the right to claim itself as the leader of the Celts.

Abortion Of Unfit Babies Saves Fifteen Percent - Health insurance companies and hospitals report that the new Eugenics plan has saved the Bantyric Healthcare industry almost Fifteen percent in long term care costs in the month of July.

Terrorist Cruise Missile Attack Upon Augsburg - Government officials had no comment upon the sudden and mysterious attack upon Augsburg. Frankish Pigs Drown Under Superior Firepower

The combined efforts of the Engellexic Air Force and the Bantyric Republican Fleet have sent Frankish intruders to a watery grave as a stunning attack was carried out upon them. A total of twenty three Frankish warships were instantly destroyed under the fury of missiles that one crew member of the Cruiser Argyll described that there were so many missiles the sun was blocked from view for the majority of the launch.

A pilot who wished to remain anonymous describes for us the aftermath. "We remained true to our orders, no prisoners were to be taken, my fuel tanks were nearing empty but it was too much fun strafing the drowning krauts that had been forced into the water by our attack. I could almost hear their rotten screams as I flew by, depositing twenty millimeter justice on top of their heads. The Fleet had been utterly destroyed, smoke rose up and blotted out the setting sun as we turned away. I remember exchanging a few jokes with the Engellexic pilots who were also there before we were out of radio range." -Anonymous fighter pilot.

The Kingdom of Franken has refused to announce their losses, most likely due to embarrassment at the crippling defeat. Bantyric losses were said to be minimal, with two destroyers damaged by a weak counter attack and a frigate scuttled due to heavy damage, crewman losses were counted in the low hundreds, A moment of silence was held at the Naval academy in Port Fiona to mourn their loss.

The question remains why the foolish Frankish refused to keep their navy out of the An Lyric sea after several warnings from Bangleann to all EDF members participating in the current war. The government has maintained the stance that this attack was not a formal entry into the Gallia-Germania war but rather a protection of interests as the An Lyric Sea is vital to Bantyric trade.
