The situation in the Faroes is far from ideal and the news of a Sylvanian fleet bearing down on the territory has made it impossible for the Mezhist Union to complete the transfer of the territory. The Mezhist Government believes that Clause 2 of the Treaty of Christiansborg has been unfulfilled, as we would have considered the transfer of responsibility for the islands to commence when the designated Mezhist administrator for the Faroes assumed control of the island's government from the Danish governor of the territory while within the jurisdiction of said territory. Thus, by that definition, Ningbei has been transferred from Danmark to the Mezhist Union, as officers belonging to the Government and Military officially have taken over responsibilities for the administration of the city territory.
The Mezhist Union further claims that the Kingdom of Danmark did not adequately explain and disclose the level of threat which emanated from the Republic of Sylvania, which denied us the opportunity to send a fleet capable of handling the threat and shoring up the situation in our favour. Additionally, we claim that the Danish Government has not acted in good faith, as the alleged location of the Sylvanian fleet is far too close to the islands for us to believe that this response has resulted following our announcement of the transfer of responsibility. We assert that the Danish Government failed to uphold the secrecy of the Treaty of Christiansborg.
As such, we ask the Danish Government to return the sums deposited for the lease or compensate the Mezhist Union in terms of equal value. The Mezhist Union believes that the Government of the Kingdom of Danmark has a moral and ethical responsibility to act in an honourable manner, appropriate for a respected power such as itself.
