The chances of being a victim of crime in Bassakusu are at their lowest since 1949 the latest BRCAO has revealed.
Over 100,000 adults were questioned in the first round of the survey which will be completed in 1960.

The results showed the crime rate has fallen sharply for the third time since the survey began in 1941 by an proposal of King Willem II.

But the survey also found people continue to overestimate the problem of crime with about one third of those questioned believing that crime rates had actually risen.

"This is excellent news and is the result of investment in crime reduction initiatives by the Royal Government, the Royal Guards, our community partners" said the Protector of the Realm.

The HBME have discovered a large gold mine in the northern part of the region of Nsundi, a vast area that Bangalan leaders are exploiting for its resources, according to a report by the Nsundian, the state news agency.

The mine is in the Ngazi Valley, near the Erdershire border at the north of the city of Ngazi, according to the report, which was published in Monday.

The mine is the largest such resource found in the western area of the Songo-Nsundi Mountains, a range that runs through the heart of Songo-Oriental.

HBME from Nsundi Province has already invested about Bf5 million in the gold mine project. The group took five years to find the mine, the report said, and operations there are expected to start in 1957. The mine was also said to have copper.

The group is interested to sell half the resources to international companies who can be interested.

Voters in Bassakusu have chosen their first female mayor.
Unofficial returns suggest that Anne Van Till, who is standing as Christen Partij, took nearly 40% of the vote in the first round.

Bangala's system of proportional representation means the result will not be confirmed until tomorrow.

But Mrs Van Till's performance in the first round means it is now impossible for anybody else to win.

Senior sources in the camp of her main opponent, former mayor, Breckhart Van Liekst, have already conceded victory to Mrs Van Till.

His Majesty, King Maximiliaan V, created an official holiday of the realm which honors all the mothers. The King proclaimed the 10 of November to be the Day of Mothers (or Moederdag) in which all adult mothers are honored and celebrated.

A parade in Bassakusu is being scheduled in which the King's mother and wife would be in attendance as the Guests of Honor. Another source has speculated that the King is holding a ball while another source speculated that both will occur.

We applaud for the decision to hold parliamentary elections in Bangala. These are interesting and joyful developments. It is also a wise decision to take seven months for organising the elections, because now both the candidates and the voters will be able to prepare themselves. We will follow these developments with interest.

The Shah, Government and People of Madai give a heartfelt congratulation to the Kingdom of Bangala for the organization of their first elections. We hope to soon see Bangala joining the community of democratic nations, leaving absolutism and obscurantism behind. Those can only be joyous news for the people because they can finally exercise their rights of involvement in the development of their nation. The democratic process will do only good for the Kingdom, thus even changing the image the kingdom has in the international community.

We hope that in the elections will rise to their expectations, being free, secret and correctly organize. If needed and if the Bangalan government would accept it, the Madai Shahdom would provide a commission to cooperate with your authorities and help you organize the voting process. If this would be accepted, this can be only the first step in the rapprochement of our two countries, the first out of many.

Signed,
on behalf of HIM Dariush V Shah Heidari,
Kaveh Ali Veisi,
Imperial Minister of External Affairs

It is with great hapiness that the Ministerial Council and the Popular Assembly of Wiefel welcomes the events unfolding in Bangala. A climate of democracy and equality is developing in the Himyari Kingdom.
