Is it possible for you (Khalistan) to have a single thread, that could be stickied, for archiving past and present map updates rather than have them all displayed in the opening post of the map thread?

I will start with the present one.

Might I comment that the 30+ post bit is a bit... I donno. It encourages people to spam threads in OOC forums instead of actual RP. I think that post requirement shouldn't be implemented, but new members be given probationary periods where if they don't commit to an active RP (even just an internal) they're just removed. Just a thought out for consideration, since there've been a few new members recently offput by the post requirement and I don't think, in this current activity level, that we can afford to actually deny potentially active people because they haven't been actively posting in the thread "how fast can we reach 9000 posts"

The cookie cutter response would be: we've been doing it this way for years, we're not about to change now! . . I am open to experimenting at this point, however I do fear that a probationary period system might be too subjective, as any discussion of who is active and who is inactive might be.

Speaking as a newb (noob?) that's yet to meet the post requirement, it's not too bad... I feel a bit put off RPing because I lack the map plot to really ground everything, and I don't want to actively RP and make the assumption that I live somewhere when someone could take the plot I'm hoping for. I like to think I'm not spamming up posts either, I mostly just read things in the OOC forums and comment if I think comment is relevant. I also started a news thread but that made me feel like I was trying too hard to spam up posts (lol). The fact I'm not posting terribly much, though, probably makes me look somewhat inactive when really I'm just looking for somewhere to RP. That said, I'll get there eventually.

Just produce lots of statements from your foreign office or whatever. It is an easy way to boost post count and still get involved in RP, as well as revealing a bit about your nation.

I was under the impression that the 30 post thing was IC posts and did not count OOC posts. either way what vangala said.

Excellent work on the map, without doubt your best version.

Also, nice work on the borders! I quite like them indeed.

The message from Oikawa, I will ask if this map would be prefered, it has even more land area in the far east and Touzen is 20% smaller. Also, if the Jurchen Republic is to be on the map. I will need to know where on this map it will be.

If anyone wants to see the comparison of the old and the new, here it is

New one looks great.

Also thank you for cutting out that little land bridge to Kryobaijan - I appreciate that.

Looks great, I like the color for Yujin. Just a note, the red countries seem to have blurred coastlines (or rather, lost their high definition). It doesn't impact RP or anything, but just though I'd point it out.

I approve of the changes suggest by Xen, although I must say I am disappointed with the obvious rip off from the Koreas for Seora, at least the last look was original, if a tad ugly.

I'm all around tickled. Well done. The red coastlines are a little blurry, but what the hell. It was a worthwhile experiment, and something to file away for later.

Yeah the obvious Koreas and the obvious RL looking split looks terrible. I might suggest that be reconfigured dramatically for the simple fact that it rather screws with the integrity of the map in some way.

Otherwise, it's a massive improvement in the area just northwest of that. Good job.

Integrity of the map. Wow.

This new version looks much cleaner, and is far easier on the eyes. An evolutionary step in the right direction.

Most everything about the map looks good save for the Koreas. Way too obvious and unoriginal that. Personally I'm also not happy with Yujin's obvious China spot, but I suppose it's always been rather obvious so I can live with it. (plus he seems to like it)
