It was to make the map look less chaotic. The colours signify two things, which I hope is obvious without a key;- alliances and colonies/puppets.

Plus, and this is quite important, it saves the time trying to find many - many different colours. ;)

Excellent work. I cannot reiterate how much of a job well done this is. If you are looking for critical improvement :-)P), my only suggestion is making oceans and waters a bit more defined. How? I'm not sure, but I will note that the empty land plots that are colored white, work well with the ocean color. The plots which are occupied sometimes only seem to be separated from water by a black line.

Maybe make the oceans and physical features in different fonts. Would be cool to have two maps, one for physical features and the other geography.

The map is excellent! Congratulations! And the See being moved to a more logical place is a thoroughly good idea.

I like the changes to the continents. Still unsure about Great Thaumantic Sea though...

I wanted to add the Holy Lands/Cities of Europe to the map but I cannot find the thread which describes where they are and what they are called, all I know is that some or all were in Hajr.

Can anyone help out with this?

Is HPP even considered an alliance? I view it more as an organization.

same thing could have been said of the GL before the added the defense apparatus. The HPP does have defense clauses in its charter anyway so depending on the mapmaker it could be deemed an alliance.

White like all the other unoccupied plots? okay

Also, what if the map could be made clickable? If this is possible, we could make the countries clickable and when you click on them, you go to a new link that shows their flag, and maybe some basic information and a map, if they made one. I don't know how to do i t myself, but the old RP I was in had something similar to this. Their's also had continent maps.

Well, the way it worked was there was a world political map, each continent was clickable, or at least the more popular ones as making the continent maps were tiresome. When you clicked on a continent, it showed the geographic map of that continent, and red lines indicated national borders and red stars were capitals. They did this because geography was for whatever reason always an issue, people claimed massive mountain ranges complete with snowy tundras when their neighbor RPed barren deserts.

The continent maps included rivers, forests, and mountains so all that stuff could never be debated. You then designed your national map based off of what the continent map showed. They were nice to have, but they were essential in my old RP, here I haven't seen problems like that come up and our continents are significantly larger than in my old RP, so the maps would be incredibly tedious to make, that's why I just ignored them and suggested national maps.

I figured it couldn't be done, but hey I'd figure I'd say something.
