Gunnland
FTR
SECRET
Valerian Fyodorov
President, Free Canton of Crotobaltislavonia
I have become aware that your military forces are retreating from the western theater. Within 24 hours, the Gunnish Army will begin occupying towns and roads in north-western Crotobaltislavonia, in an area triangulated by Gunnland, Lake Elbe, and Banja Luka. I write to ask that you instruct your forces not to offer resistance to this incursion.
The Kingdom of Gunnland is a neutral in this war. The purpose of this mission is humanitarian, though it may delay the advance of the Burgundian invaders, and it is calculated to strengthen the bargaining position of an independent Crotobaltislavonia after the war. Our mutual security partners in the Kadikistani Union will guarantee that any territory we demilitarize will be held in trust for the legitimate government of Crotobaltislavonia after the cessation of the conflict.
The Kingdom of Gunnland does not and will not recognize the claims of Victoria Emerson to the "throne" of Crotobaltislavonia.
In trust,
Jul. R.
