Since my assignment to the duties of cartographer, I have decided to carry on the similar style many RP'ers will feel comfortable with reading. However, this post should still be read, as several changes have been made.

This is the official map! This is the Midland, TX edition, in honor of America's greatest president. Currently in the works: an alliance map, and an economic region map. Be patient with these, as the standard map will always maintain first priority.

If you have been forgotten, a mistake has been made, or something else; please (re-)post your request here and it will be added swiftly. If I made a mistake, do not rage. I will not negotiate with you if you bitch at me, I'm not an elementary school teacher. Tell me the problem, make a rational argument for your case, and the problem will be resolved. If you wish to negotiate a change in your nations current geography, please PM me and we can discuss appropriate changes. Keep your requests sane: I am not in the position to give you land. If you want lakes, I can work that out.

To apply for a position of the map, please follow this simple guideline:
  1. Name of Your Country
  2. Location (#_:_) (Names are based off generic analogous regions: E for Europe, A for Asia, H for Himyar, B for Boreas, C for colony)
  3. Requesting a colony plot requires adequate agreement be made between two or more parties via OOC Cooperative threads. Link me to the discussion, so I can make sure it's not BS.
  4. Have at least 20-40 posts and an acceptable display of roleplay activity.
  5. Name and location of your capital.
  6. Failure to post changes in activity will result in placement on inactivity hit-list. Furthermore, high priority regions ("Asia", "Europe") require a minimum of 1 RP post a month (news or otherwise). Failure to do so will result in placement on inactivity hit list.
  7. If placed on inactivity hitlist; 2 RP posts within 1 month are required to be taken off.

Do not spam this thread! Do not post in this thread unless it is an application, or constructive to the development of the map! Do not strike conversation in this thread, it increases the time I have to spend updating the map. If you have suggestions for the map, or opinions, please do so in the appropriate thread. ( )

Spiffy map, keep it up! I like the shift from traditional colors (green, yellow, blue) to something completely new. Refreshing.

Why is there a strait between Anglyn and the spot directly below it?

I do not approve.

I do not approve.

I approve of this statement. It is quite unappealing to look at. In fact my contacts fell out upon noticing it. However otherwise I think you have done a great job with the map. Obviously there are still some islands/mapspots that need to be labeled.

I would also like to take this opportunity to post my claim on that island labelled #C:2 as a Protectorate of Helena. I will have some history behind my claim, etc posted pretty soon.

Requesting the title of my nation be checked, or altered to read as my username does - "Životinje".

Requesting my nations Capital be renamed to "Sjadnbrdo" or "Karpatica", whichever one you find easier to spell.

Requesting the title of Independent Barazi be changed to "Anunatum" or "Captaincy of Anunatum" or "Capt. Anunatum", with the (ZIV) beneath or beside.

High roller^

Great to see you used the tutorial I suggested. Nice map, but my capital needs to be moved like half a centimeter to the west.

Nice work and thanks for taking the job!

Also, can my capital be moved to the tip of that cape (peninsula).

Thanks. :)

For the net update it would be orgasmically spectacular if you were to add my capital. Since there is a bit of talk of adding other large cities as well I've listed the two next most important cities in order (meaning Porton is more important than Royale). Just in case.

1. Lunden (capital)
2. Porton
3. Royale

The move to add a channel south of Anglyn was to increase demand for parts of Himyar and increase their viability as potential European colonial holdings (since Boreas is all used up almost). As neither Anglyn nor Radilo have serious problems with it, it's going to stay. Yes, it's not the prettiest, but shit happens.

Also, sorry for the naming issues, once all the quirks are worked out it'll be all good. Coulda sworn I fixed Zivotinje once and for all, must've not saved. Also, right now it's just going to stay with capitals - I don't want Europe to get too crowded. Bombaim and Gotakoping remain because they hold special city status, they exist like Hong Kongs and GITMO's. Foreign "cities" on national soil. If any others exist, please specify so they can be added too.

Name of Country: Commonwealth of Ausmoria [Ausmorian Celtic (Gaelo-Brythonic): Komunilahas Ausmóreá, Ausmorian Cossack: Sodruzhestvo Auzmorea]
Location: After speaking with Joe, he passed former Andaluz/current Aresura to me in favor of another plot
Population: 19,855,288 (2009 estimate)
Capital: Rozhyndove, Armorica (Cossack: Rouzdov)
Other cities:
Kemperburg ('Fortress on the Confluence'), Kernwalha
Morbihan ('Little Sea'), Northern Ausmoria
Cóstaóra ('Gold Coast'), Armorica
Kozhakslav ('Glory of the Cossacks'), Mochvara
Ballyminn ('City of the Menzies'), Cairns
Nu Conamara ('New Connemara'), Cairns
Tredegar, Kernwalha
Artagnan, Castellognie

Basic premise:
During the 1600s, Ausmoria was settled as part of the Warreic Empire's colonization of a few select territories across the Implarian. Ausmoria was originally settled in 1653 as the Colony of Armorica, a name meaning "Seaside area" in the Brythonic Celtic of the tribes originally involved as colonists in the area, thinking the island continent was simply a coastal region of a larger continent. Further exploration inland discovered that, due to the island continent's separation from the rest of the subcontinent to the north 15 million years ago (a timeframe to allow for such a large continental drift), the land was virtually untouched by most human settlement with diverse flora and fauna uncomparable to anywhere else in the world. Such a virgin continent soon attracted Gaelic settlers from the Warreic Empire, who had previously only sent the lesser remnants of the Atlantean Empire, the Brythonic tribes, out to colonize seemingly dangerous regions of the world.

Once it became well-known that area was not the coast of Himyar but, rather, a continent in its own right, the name Armorica was no longer suitable. The inhabitants looked to European charts of the region which labeled the area "Mare Australis" or the "South Sea" and, keeping the -mor for sea, adopted the name Ausmoria for the new continent. Indeed, the name had already taken hold in (Greater Sarmatia? Kyiv?) as the Slavic word for sea, also mor, was colloquially used to describe the region. During the early 1700s, the Zaporozhian Cossack Uprisings in (Greater Sarmatia?) were finally crushed and, to prevent another of the on-and-off uprisings which had been plaguing the imperial power for the last century, the Sarmatians established a penal colony on the western coast of the Ausmorian continent, away from any established civilization, consisting of the ringleader Cossack Hosts of the majority of the uprisings in the hopes that they might perish on such a desolate continent. Nevertheless, trade between the penal colony and the now-amalgamated Brythonic and Gaelic Celts on the other side of the continent led to their assistance when the Cossack prisoners eventually rose up against their wardens, declaring their independence. The first links between the two cultures had been forged and the remnants of the penal colony became the foundations of the city of Kozhakslav. Some cultural and ethnic intermeshing occurred over the next century with the Cossacks contributing their superior horsemanship to ranching in the arid lands of the interior.

Late in the 18th century, the colony ambitions of both the Gallian powers (choose one) and Anglyn had been turned to this new continent, both for its resources and the rampant piracy and raiding that the people of both coasts had been ravaging on Implarian trade. Anglysh colonial interests in Butuan soon turned to the Ausmorian continent and attempts at invasion and occupation were prevalent. Despite this, the martial nature of the continent's inhabitants led to the only stable foothold being a province on the east coast followed by about a century of war and conflict throughout the continent. By 1865, the Anglysh and French attempts were finally repelled by popular resistance movements and a revolutionary pseudo-socialistic technocratic government, established in 1857 in Kemperburg, had taken hold across the entire continent - the beginning of the Commonwealth.

The rest of the history is kind of hazy. As for language, expect two distinct languages, one based on Rusyn and Ukrainian and the other based on Breton and Irish, to have emerged. While the latter is in the majority, Orthodox missionaries nevertheless spread the Cyrillic alphabet and Celtic is just as likely to appear in Roman script as in Cyrillic script (largely for flavor). Despite the government preference for these languages, the time of Anglysh occupation and the greater convenience in trade means that English is also largely used, though with a distinct dialect incorporating Slavic and Celtic influences and pronounciation similar to modern Australian English. The continent is basically Australia with a few homebrew species of trees and fauna thrown into the mix (though most Aussie species are quite strange as is). There will also be minorities of Gascons and Occitans which moved during the late 19th century to the area and have set up a new region, similar to Argentina's Chubut Province and the Welsh community there, largely due to my frustration with the lack of non-Parisian French populations in NSE.

The involvement of Warre, Greater Sarmatia and Anglyn in my history was largely done out of their approvals at various times to sending colonists or having invaded. However, these approvals occurred awhile ago so if there are any concerns with the basic premise, it is definitely subject to change and can be made whenever either would like. A map of city locations is forthcoming.

Could Ratomkira be divided in a North and a South?

The image shows the borders. Na Treng (de facto North-Na Treng) is the proclaimed capital of the North.
