The Makai Islands Sports and Athletics Agency(MISAA) wishes to announce that it plans to hold the competitive and prestigious World Water Sports Games, which will take place across the Makai Archipelagos, and is open to all countries with a coastline and a serious determination to participate in the upcoming Summer WWS events, which are scheduled to begin June 1st and last for approximately two weeks.

Countries looking to send Teams should be aware of International Rules on all held events, and provide both male and female competitors for each event they intend to participate in.

The Events are as follows: Bodyboarding, Surfing, Windsurfing, Yacht Races, Jet-Skis, Water Polo, 30m, 60m, 100m and 500m Swimming Events, Display Diving, Beach Volleyball, Short-Distance Rowing, Longboat/Dragonboat Races, Canoeing, Kayaking and White Water Rafting. The latter paddle-orientated events will occur from June 12th, due to being lately scheduled due to an unfortunate oversight by the MISAA Planning Committee.

We ask that a team rowing or paddle sport be included in this event, as we feel that they are more widely accessible and more nations are knowledgable of such sports moreso than sports such as volleyball and jet-ski's, which are either dependent upon the consistency of beach soil (sand) or wealth of nations (jet ski's are not cheap).

Rowing for rowing, and Dragonboat and Canoeing for paddlesports, are both sufficient.

The MISAA has taken such requests under consideration and agrees that a lack of Rowing events is indeed an unfortunate oversight, and will immediately amend the schedule to include such events. It is a particularly embarassing oversight, given that Longboats and Rowing Races have been staples of Makai culture for over 4000 years.

We hope that the Sinhai Union will not allow this oversight to prevent future consideration of application.

The Nation of Ontolia is happy to send and fund Athletes to the WWS games. Our Athletes will be prepared to compete in both the Short-distance Rowing, Water Polo and Swimming events. Though none of these are our national passtimes we are happy to be represented on the world stage.

We thank Ontolia for also agreeing to participate, and would be happy to see them there, in any capacity they feel able to attend in.
