Well with how many alliances, organizations, etc, etc, etc, that have been around for about a month, I think it makes sense. It's much easier than adding and removing private forums on the first of every month. It's also entirely possible to function properly without a private forum, in fact I'd even argue alliances like FMS, ITO, etc, etc can function without a private forum. The only big deal is that others can read what you guys are saying; however, RP-wise they shouldn't have a clue as to what is going on. As long as they don't mix up what they know OOC with what they know IC, it shouldn't be a problem.

I realize knowing the history of this forum, that means it'll be a problem, but tough shit. XD

If someone can show me this 'rule' in writing, I'd be happy to cease and desist. But I don't see it anywhere. Secondly, we all know people mix OOC and IC either deliberately or not. It's inevitable. We can't have all of our discussions public on one thread. We require multiple threads in a private forum where we don't have to worry about cheaters.

The admins should take a look at the private forums. There are about 12 or more that are dead and can be removed and I'm asking for one private forum which takes less than a minute to set up. If you want us to wait a month, it might die due to a lack of proper infrastructure. I've noticed this laziness grow over the months and its putting a damper on things around here. Admins are supposed to serve the users as best as possible but instead they lurk around, do a bit of RP and ignore our (mostly) simple requests.

Why exactly? I have seen so many organisations being given private forums - less than a week after its creation nobody bothered to use it anyway.
Remember, on vBulletin you are able to send pm's to five persons at one time, that should suffice for coordinating any plotting, methinks.

It requires tables, charts, multiple threads for multiple discussions and monthly meetings. It would be easier on all of us if we had a private forum instead of creating a bunch of different threads that eliminate all privacy and make it cluttered and hard to follow. Organisations with over 4 people are supposed to be given access to a private forum.

No alliances with over four people are supposed to get forums. And one topic could cover everything; not to mention with all these nations supposedly in an organization like this secrets will be almost impossible. That's if it somehow lasts longer than a week.

In the old forums, before the crash caused by Monk, a specific rule stated that if a group had 4 or more members, had a clear objective and goal and showed any signs of activity, it would get a private forum. I'm not advocating forums being created at will, but there are about 12 private forums that could be deleted right now and they won't give me the one I am asking for. An organisation like this, with a long term goal, usually doesn't die out in a week anyway. My main point, is that without the proper avenues, it could be difficult to garner attention from all of the many members without a centralised place for organisation.
