Greetings and salutations.
We send you this communique on behalf of the Mezhist Union. As you are well aware, your immediate neighbour, the Empire of Yujin, is currently undergoing a civil war, which has been going on for several months now. We imagine that this is having a very negative impact on your food stores, as we understand that your colonial establishment of Port Arturo normally imports much of its grain from the Eastern Empire.
As we both have a need for peace and stability in Yujin, I have been tasked with providing you with a proposition that we believe will prove mutually beneficial to us.
The Mezhist Union is willing to shoulder your grain deficiencies from the lack of Yujiner imports. In exchange, we request that you allow Port Arturo to serve as a landing point for Mezhist military hardware, materiel, and supplies, to be transported across the Yujiner border and used by the Empire to continue to fight its war against the Communism and Jingo-Republicanism that threaten to swallow it whole.
The terms are negotiable, and you have our guarantee that we will account for every last ton of grain that was formerly provided by Yujin.
